I was at the electonics store today because I want to purchase a new TV. I was looking at the LG OLED C8 (with Dolby Atmos) model LG OLED65C8PUA. I was told by the installer that they don't sync properly. That there is a delay and the lips don't sync to the sound. Can someone confirm if this is in fact true before I go by the TV.

Hi there -- I recently bought an Amazon Echo and paired it with my Sonos One speaker. Now, I can give voice commands to the Echo to play music on the Sonos speaker, which is great. However, I was curious to see if both speakers can play the music I tell Alexa to play, but at the same time. It would be cool to create a 'surround sound' type of situation, as it currently only plays on one speaker at a time. Would love to see if this is a possibility, thanks!

How do I add a song playing on my sonos to an Apple Music (iTunes) playlist? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The scenario I'm running into a lot is when I discover a new song, while using one of my sonos speaker, and want to add it to my Itunes playlist, I can't figure out how do move the song over.

I have just bought a new sony android TV (Sony KD-XF8505) which is connected to my sonos playbase via the optical cable and cannot control the volume throught the TV remote control? My previous TV was LG and it was working straing away. Is there any specifiy setting which I have to activate or Sonos is simply not compatible with android TVs?

I apologize if I missed this, but the only answers I could find searching the forum where older. With the release of Amazon's Multi-Room Music SDK (MRM) and the integration of Alexa into the Sonos' One speaker, is it still true you can not play synchronized audio between an amazon echo speaker in one room and a Sonos' speaker in another room? i.e. You can not create a group that contains both Amazon echo speakers and Sonos speakers that will be synchronize together for music playback. Thank you in advance for answering this question given any current hardware/software updates.

Sub disabled when Setting up SONOS CONNECT:AMP as Surround Rears Why are you disabling the subwoofer out when configuring the Connect Amp to drive non-Sonos rear speakers with a Playbar? I have a my own sub that i want to connect to the Connect Amp so that it can be driven along with the rest of the system. I do not want to buy another Sonos sub. Surely this would just be a software or firmware update that is easily achievable.

Alexa turns TV on/off, volume up/down, but will not change channel. Receive "Family Room TV doesn't support that. Anynet+ is turned on the TV.

I really wish to know why a brand new wireless speaker has to support only the oldest Wi-Fi protocol 802.11b/g... no 802.11ac, neither 802.11n... It's a shame! :@ Any tecnical reason involved?

Ok.....I have the beam connected.....so I decided to buy the Sonos new Amp...…...and surprisingly enough, the handy dandy amp does not include easy instruction to add the amp. Any good suggestions?

So, I'm upstairs in the shower listening to my morning podcast and it mutes itself every 10 seconds. Come to find out my wife was in the kitchen using Alexa to make a shopping list. How do I turn off this muting "feature" for Alexa? Or can I assign the dot to a single room so the whole house doesn't mute everytime someone wants a knock knock joke or the weather.

Just bought an echo dot and added my sonos system which consists of in-wall speakers around the house and individual sonos connects. The dot is in the kitchen and when i tell alexa to play something in the kitchen it often times plays thru the dot and not the sonos speakers. How do i correct? I never want music playing thru the dot. Is this issue becuase the Dot and Sonos are both called "kitchen"? Should i relabel one? If so, which one? Also, i find that after i have Alexa play a sirius station in a particular room, if i try to play that same station in another room using the Sonos App, the station is blocked. Any way around this? Hi All, im new to the sonos world, i have a sonos one in the kitchen and have just bought a connect to try and integrate a record player. I do not have any existing speakers plugged into the record player and have an existing amp. any idea how i connect everything so that i can wirelessly play my vinyl through my sonos speakers

I purchased and am attempting to install a Pro-Ject Record Box E to connect my Pro-Ject Essential III turntable to my Sonos Connect. I have the cables from the turntable going into the “in” ports of the preamp, then the next pair going from the “out” ports of the pre-amp to the “in” ports of the Connect. I also have the “MM” button not pressed (out position). On my phone, I have the Connect setup as line in /AV. Still, no sound! What is the deal! Help me!

In my living room I have a playbar, in ceiling speakers wired to connect amp which is located in another room. Am i able to link connect amp as surrounds to playbar without them being located next to each other? Speakers are all in same room but wire endpoints are in different locations. Hope this makes some sense.

I purchased a Sonos playbar-sub and play 1 system for my living room. Best Buy geek installed and placed the play bar on a solid wooden shelf above the tv. I mentioned that was against the instructions that I had read and he insisted it was ok. Is this correct or do I need to put on the same shelf as the tv? According to instructions he is wrong and I want to get the best possble sound from this great system.

I have sonos equipment and am interested in expanding by adding a beam to my home theater set up. I am wondering if there is any advantage of using the HDMI cable instead of setting it up with just the wifi? The current theater set up has a laptop connected to the project and bluetooth speakers but this arrangement does not handle dialogue well and I am hoping to solve that with the beam. The projector has an HDMI input but not HDMI ARC. Will I need an HDMI splitter if there is an advantage to using a wired set up? If I added two sonos 1 speakers as part of the theater set up would I be able to use them as mobile speakers in an adjacent bedroom if I wanted or does the surround sound set up make this complicated and require re-tasking the speaker? Hi, How should one manage multiple components with just 1 HDMI in on the 2018 AMP. I've got 3 sources (HTPC, Xbox, Switch) The way I see it, there are 2 options: 1) Get an HDMI switcher with at least 3 inputs and 2 outputs. Send 1 output to the AMP and 1 to the TV. 2) Get an HDMI switcher with 1 output and send that output to the TV, and then use an HDMI ARC connection from the TV back to the Sonos 2018 AMP. So, what are the pros/cons of these options. Would syncing be better with option 2 since the Sonos and TV are on the same HDMI ARC connection? Any other suggestions? I've always used an AVR in the past and plugged all components into the TV. I do not use the TV apps. Thanks!

Will Sonos One speakers wirelessly connect to Wi-Fi enabled Yamaha TSR-7850 7.2-Channel Network AV Receiver?

If I buy a sonos one to control a sonos amp and I put them in group mode and I ask alexa a question, will alexa answer in both the sonos one and the sonos amp? Ideally, I would like to put them in group mode, turn the sonos one volume all the way down (so that the sonos one sound doesn't confuse the sound in the room coming from amp and my main speakers), and then be able to control what the sonos amp plays (or says) by using alexa in the sonos one? Effectively, this would be the same thing as having alexa built into the sonos amp (rather than merely having alexa "work with" the sonos amp). Does this work? Any downside to doing this other than cost? Alan

Wonder if anyone can help. I have the 5.1 setup for my tv and I have my bass set to a quarter on the sub settings which I'm happy with for everyday telly. Now when I listen to music I have to turn up the bass to just over half way to which i'm also happy with the sound.So the Question is,is there any way of saving the Sub settings for music and the settings for tv so I don't have to keep adjusting the sub level settings.

Curious if anyone has used a Play 5 to connect to RCA cables of a Vinyl Player. Can you then stream to your others SONOS speakers in the house? Is there an advantage or disadvantage to this as compared to connecting to the SONOS Connect?

I would just like to play the music from my media server over my Sonos speakers without having to have a connection to the internet. Is that such a hard thing to ask Sonos to provide ?
