Sonos has stopped working since the last update. I tried to reinstall the desktop controller but am told that my OS is too old - I am using Yosemite 10.10.5. I don't want to change my entire OS just for Sonos. Hugely frustrating. Can I get an older version of the controller anywhere to download?

I have a SONOS Connect, which is set up with an Onkyo tuner. The volume control within the SONOS app is set at 100%. The volume on my iphone is also set up to maximum. Here is my problem -- I have no control over the volume at all. Right now it is very very low. When I go to turn the volume up manually through the tuner, a message comes up stating that the volume is pre-set by SONOS. I cannot turn the volume up or down on my tuner and because it is set to maximum on the app as well as my iphone, this is as loud as it gets. Which is horrible. I have to practically sit beside the speakers to hear it. Also, I have tried to hit the volume control that is on the connect and it doesn't turn the volume up or down, only mute works. Have searched message boards and forums and have come up emptyhanded -- other than people saying to turn up the volume in the SONOS app -- which is already at 100%. Help! I am ready to toss SONOS completely.

I have a turntable attached to a preamp, which is attached to a Sonos Connect. It works fine and I can listen to records through Sonos play1s.. but at night when the family is asleep I'd like to listen via Bose QC35ii bluetooth headphones. So I got a Taotronics BA-90 bluetooth transmitter and plugged it into the digital audio out on the Connect.. it pairs with the headphones but still I get no sound through the headphones and still audio through the play1s. What am i doing wrong?

I currently have the Sonos Playbar, Sub and two Play:1s set up as 5.1 surround. I am thinking of putting a speaker in the kitchen and bedroom. From what I've read you can't replace one of the Play:1s with a Sonos One as one of the rear surrounds. So I was thinking about buying two Sonos Ones and using them as the rear surrounds and placing one Play:1 in the kitchen and the other Play:1 in the bedroom. I have a couple of questions.. 1. Will the Alexa device in one of the Sonos Ones control all of the units(The surround speakers and the individual speakers in the kitchen)? 2.Is it true that you can't use a Sonos One with a Play:1 as rear surrounds? I'd like to only buy one Sonos One and one Play:1 3. Is the sound quality of Sonos One the same as a Play:1? 4. Hi I have an Amazon Echo Dot connected to a Play 5 via the line in in my dining room, and two sonos Play one with Alexa is separate bedrooms. I have a spotify Premium family account. The issue I have is that Alexa via the Echo Dot controls spotify (and other music sources) perfectly but with either of the Play Ones I cannot get Alexa to control any music service. I can use an iphone to start spotify on the Play one but Alexa wont stop it playing. All devices are on the same wifi and are logged against the same spotify premium account. Can you help please?

Hey community, thanks for your time. We just moved and I set up my Sonos One speaker, changed the WiFi settings etc, Sonos app on my phone is updated already, and so forth. I say "Alexa, play (fill in the blank)". Then Alexa responds by saying she is playing the (fill in the blank) that I commanded, but then there is no audio (the audio volume is not turned off). On my Sonos app, I can click a song option with my finger, and music will play. But again, Alexa voices my command as if she's gonna play music, but then silence. Not sure how to troubleshoot this.

I am form Mumbai, India. I have been using Sonos with Alexa integration till yesterday, until Amazon launched Alexa services in India. To get the local skills I had my Amazon marketplace for Alexa changed from UK to India and since then my Sonos skill for Alexa vanished. I am unable to search Sonos skill on Alexa Skills page. On contacting Amazon, they replied that Sonos hasn't released the skill for India :(. Any clue how can I enable the Sonos skill for Alexa whilst having the location India. Regards, Shanty

Until a recent update Sonos would start automatically, when I turned on the TV, put a record on... you name it. Now I have to hit Play in the app all the time - even when turning a record over. Does anyone else have this issue? I have a Connect Box linked to two Play:1s. Thanks

Since updating to the latest release the playing the alarm (which is configured in the Sonos App) cannot be stopped anymore by saying the voice command "Alex, Stopp". This was working before, now you have to press the button of the Sonos One.

Hey guys have just came back to a full Sonos experience (playbar and 2 x play one speakers) after a flirtation with HomePods. I have previously linked Spotify with my speakers and thought it would be a case of logging back and in and I’d be good to go. However when I ask Alexa to play something on Spotify I get a response confirming that this will happen e.g ask - Alexa play some jazz on Spotify, Alexa response - jazz coming up from Spotify. Then nothing, I can play direct from the Spotify app and Sonos app. I’ve unlinked and linked again, made Spotify the main music app to no avail. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Recently jumped onto the Sonos bandwagon. Started with Beam for my TV/open Kitchen area. I have 2 pre-existing passive in-ceiling speakers (in that main room) that are run through an old amp in basement AV closet. I would like to connect and group the in-ceiling speakers with my beam (and planned Sub) for complete surround for TV and audio, basically in lieu of adding Ones to save on cost and overall decrease clutter. Do I use the new sonos Amp? Connect? Will this work, will there be delay? Thanks guys/gals

Have a Sonos Connect AMP, and I love the quality of sound it generates with my own speakers, and now thinking of expanding system. I recently purchased it, and now Sonos AMP is out, so I feel a bit unhappy about that, and I would likely have waited a little to purchase new unit. But that is not my most serious issue: I have a decent understanding of TCP/IP networking, but am by no means an expert. I have recently upgraded from consumer grade router to pfsense+unifi switch and AP config. I have designed my network so that I have 3 separate segregated networks, on different VLANs. MAIN LAN, IOT LAN, GUEST LAN. Like many other folks before me, according to the hours I have spent reading forums, I am having an issue getting APP on MAIN to work with SONOS on IOT. Every one of my other 7 smart device work just fine, with Avahi mDNS/DNS-SD reflector, but not SONOS. I have been playing with IGMP Proxy as suggested on many forums and still nothing. I have a Sony 65X850D TV and a Sonos Playbar. My service is Verizon and TV is working off an Arris VMS1100 DVR. Since installing the TV and Playbar I get persistent sound drops. I have spoken to Verizon many times and they have been to my house several times but the problem continues. Now Verizon tells me they are aware of issues with Sonos and they are working with SONOS to fix it. At this point i have to watch TV using the TV speakers. It is definitely an issue with the Arris box since I have no issues with sound drops while using SONOS apps like Netflix or Amazon Firestick. When will this be fixed? I want use my Playbar !

Hi all, I'm currently moving from high rise condo to a house. Currently, my (small) living room set up is 2 play 1s, sub, and a turntable, which has been great for when I just want to have a drink and spin some jazz alone or have a small group of friends over where listening to music is the focal point (I put critical in quotes in the title because I understand the difference between that and audiophile "critical" listening). I plan on expanding to a full sonos 5.1. I'm not huge on movies, but my wife is and I imagine kids will enjoy it in the future. For people who are equal home theater/music enjoy-ers, what's the solution? Is having music playing from rear speakers (especially for music where stereo separation is a part of the experience) as enjoyable for you? Do you just physically move play 1s in front of you in the instances where you are focusing on music? Is it easy on the app itself to go from 5.1 to 2.1 and back? I used to be able to access my subscribed podcasts on Google Play through the Sonos Controller. After recent updates, when I go to Google Play -> Podcasts -> Your Podcasts, it shows "No selections are available." However I double checked and if I go to Google Play -> Podcasts -> Your Podcasts, it shows all of them. Is there a bug in the new release? Anyone know how to get them back?

.. as the title says..? I have now connected my "Sonos Connect" over the wifi instead of using SonosNet from another device due to drop outs..(longer story, not relevant at this point) But now i cant use the ethernet ports on the connect as a switch? Can they be used when it´s on wifi somehow?

I have Sonos speakers and Echo dots in two houses. I activated the Sonos skill in the first house and all is good for using Alexa to control the Sonos speakers in the first house When I go to the second house and search for devices, the Echo dot does not find the Sonos. Is it not possible without using a second Amazon account?

Hi I have just picked up a Flexson Vinylplay turntable as I want to add Vinyl to my current Sonos set up Which is the best/cost effective way of connecting it to my system? Sonos Connect? Sonos Connect Amp? ZP80? Or ZP90? I’m currently running playbar with a pair of play ones in the living room and several play ones dotted around the house.....also what’s people’s view on the Sub is it worth the outlay?

While watching TV, Sonos playbar stopped working suddenly. It is not playing music from TV or appearing on the Sonos app. When I open up songs app it gives me a message that 'It looks like one of your speakers could be unplugged. Go to Room settings to see which one is missing' I have checked the playbar and it is connected to power. Any ideas? thanks

Anyone know if the Sonos Amp will have the opportunity to connect to other Sonos-speakers for “surround” use. Center speaker will probably not be possible, but it would be great it you could have a 4.1 system when connected to a television.

I'm having an issue with my new Sonos AMPs and AirPlay working across VLANs. This setup is in a corporate environment. The Sonos lives on it's own subnet (VLAN 10), and guests connect to another (VLAN 20). I have a Bonjour gateway configured so that devices on VLAN 20 can see the Sonos advertising AirPlay on VLAN 10. Also, for the purposes of troubleshooting, I've allowed all traffic between both VLANs. This is working as expected, clients can connect and begin streaming. The issue I'm having is that I'm experiencing random 1-2 second dropouts, and after ~15 minutes the connection will completely drop. A packet capture shows everything humming along just fine until the Sonos sends a TCP reset and the client disconnects. The issue does not occur when both devices are on the same VLAN. This issue happens with multiple clients and all of my Sonos AMPs. This happens to both wired and wireless clients. The AMPs are wired. The basics of the network are: Meraki WAPs and Swi

Dear all, I'm really interested in getting the home theater setup, but as I'm from a part of the world with quite a bit lower average income, I view this as a "strategic" buying decision. Basically, if I start buying Sonos stuff, I'm committed, and Sonos stuff ain't cheap. But it sure does seem great. To that end, I have a number of questions, since I'll be buying Sonos ordered from abroad, and I will have no way of returning it. I need to be sure what I'm getting. This is why I will be extremely appreciative for any and all the help I get here and now. As a bit of a cash-strapped person, I plan 5.0 setup. Beam + 2x play:1(or Ones). It will be placed in a relatively small living room. If there is a cheaper sub sometime in the future, I might get it, but at 800€ (aprox. $900) that it would cost me, there's no way I can afford it. Hi, I never had any issue with true play before, but yesterday I purchased a second play5 gen2 in order to create a surround with my first play5 gen2 and combined with a playbase. After maybe 10 trials I have still the same issue with trueplay. It’s coming up with the following message: cover more of your room, you’re not walking around enough, please walk all around your room, both close to your speaker and further away. Unfortunately I tried walking everywhere, and I tried with both speakers horizontal and vertical. Restarting my iPhone. Can anyone help me please?
