AppleTV 4K and projection TV

I have a projection TV at the back of the room with a Soundbar at the front (below the screen). I just picked up a AppleTV 4K and found out it doesn't have an optical audio out that would allow me to connect it to the Soundbar. Any ideas on how to connect?

How to disable Chrome Sonos notifications on Mac

I have gone into my Notification preferences panel and disabled Sonos per Auni's post here: https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-software-228995/alerts-from-sonos-are-irritating-6757175 However, I am still getting Sonos notifications, which are coming through Chrome (?!). [img]ee3ce484-21ec-4742-a75a-f85dabe7c4ab.png[/img] I checked my Chrome Extensions, and I don't have any kind of "Sonos" chrome extension, so I'm a little puzzled why this is coming from Chrome, and how to stop it?

Can you access data about play history/count of plays for tracks on Sonos?

1. Is there a way to access data about what you have played through Sonos? Like in itunes you can see the history of what you have played and each track has a count of plays. 2. And if so, is there a way to merge/add this to an itunes library? Ideally I'd like to maintain a combined count of how many times each track has been played across the two systems (itunes and Sonos). Thanks!

Integrating the "Sonos One" with my existing setup

Downstairs in my family room I recently put together the following system - Playbar attached to my TV, and two Sonos Play1s as surround sound speakers (I'll be adding the Sub shortly). I also have an Echo Dot in the Family room that I use to voice control the system, as well as other Alexa functions. If I wanted to purchase the Sonos One (with Alexa built in) for my upstairs living room to use as a single speaker and another Alexa device, is it possible to have the same music playing throughout the whole house and have Alexa control it all by voice? Thank you.

"Unable to connect to Sonos player" error message after PC controller has been idle for a while

I have a 9-node system using Wifi (no bridge). All nodes play fine, but with the latest PC controller, I've noticed that if I leave it idle for a while (e.g., pause music playout for 10 minutes or more) then come back and hit the play button, I get the error message on the first try. On the second try, it works fine. Tried resetting the controller, no luck. Advice?

Bad SONOS customer service, still not connecting to wifi speaker after WEEKS/MONTHS

Honestly, I'm so annoyed with Sonos customer support. I logged an issue a few weeks ago saying that I couldnt connect to my Sonos wifi speaker, and have still not had the issue resolved. I was dealing with an employee called Damian who just stopped emailing me when I asked to talk to his line manager - his emails were averaging at one a day (if even) and they weren't particularly helpful. When I begged him to resolve it before the weekend, it didnt seem to hasten his responses. So I logged a new issue with Sonos about a week ago and have still heard nothing. Atrocious. Why bother getting a wifi speaker if it is so temperamental. Bose offer a bluetooth connection which is so useful if there are problems connecting to wifi. This issue is STILL NOT RESOLVED and I've been without my music for a couple of months now. BAD. So my Sonos is connecting to the ethernet cable but when I detach it and try the wifi it wont connect using my phone or laptop. Im concerned because it's an old phone I

Add all songs to the queue

Is there a way to add all my songs on my iphone to the queue in one step? Browse to "on this phone" then a play all. Same question for the PC controller. I find it very frustrating to have to build a playlist.

Sonos app not connecting

My sonos system is set up fully, all white lights... But my app won't find them at all. I have the play base, 2 sonos 1s and a sub. Everytime I open the app it says to set up the system. I just recently unplugged and replugged the router, but everything else works fine.. Passwords the same and the speakers are still talking to each other and playing audio in surround from my Chromecast. Any ideas why I can't connect?

Strange Volume Effect with Echo Dot and Sonos

I have an Echo Dot connected to a Connect via analog in...and the Connect connected from analog out to my speakers via a Sonance amplifier. I'm finding that, since starting the Sonos skill, when I talk to Alexa, her volume out of my Sonos/speaker setup is at such a low volume that it is barely audible. This lasts for about 10-15 seconds, and then volume goes up to normal. I have the volume control on the Dot set a maximum and the Sonos volume set at a normal listening level. Before setting up the Sonos skill, the volume was always fine...right where I set it. Interestingly, if I immediately invoke "Alexa" after she starts speaking (like if I ask for the weather), when I can barely hear her, and tell her to turn up the volume, her output immediately goes to the normal audible volume. Also, once the Sonos music starts, volume is normal, based on my volume setting in the Sonos app. However, if I again invoke "Alexa", her volume is low again.

Can you hide a playlist?

Can you hide a playlist? I made a Christmas playlist, but now the songs keep playing well beyond Christmas. On iTunes I simply uncheck the boxes for songs that I don't want to play. Somehow this doesn't register in my Sonos. Help. I also made a Sonos playlist of Christmas songs. Do I have to delete the entire thing until next year?

More precise volume control at low volume levels.

It would be awesome if the volume control rocker switch on the actual Sonos units was more precise at low volume levels. Right now it makes fairly large volume changes with each click, but when trying to set it at night to play at a nice low level for sleeping it's hard to get it just right. Of course the remote control app on the phone offers very fluid and finite control of the volume, but when you're trying to sleep, and it's sitting right there on the nightstand, pressing the physical buttons on the unit is easier.

Ability to command Alexa to play Sonos playlists

I would love to be able to play Sonos playlists by Alexa commands. This seems a natural capability since I spend so much time in the Sonos app. With this functionality I could concentrate all my playlists in Sonos, while already in the app for controlling sound level and other various functions. Is this a function that could be created in the near future?

No Sound from DVD

No sound from DVD player I'm concerned to my tv with optical cable and cannot get sound from my blueray player. BR player has no optical out. I have HDMI and audio cables to tv. Suggestions?

How to play from pandora using sonos one and alexa?

My Sonos account is linked to my Pandora account and I can play Pandora stations using the Sonos app on my phone. But if I ask Alexa to "Play whatever station on pandora" she responds "I didn't find your pandora account. You can link your account using the Alexa app." But if I open the Alexa app and go to Music, Video, & Books and then click pandora it says "App Support Unavailable". What am I missing?

Controlling volume from cable remote

Sonos community, I hope you can help :) I am trying to control the volume through my cable remote and not the app. I have two Elipson Planet L speakers wired into my Connect Amp and the Connect Amp is connected to the TV through an optical converter. The setup is currently as follows: 1) Cable box to TV with HDMI cable 2) TV to audio converter (coaxial/optical to R/L audio converter) with optical cable (to get the best sound and avoid the lip sync delays with a 3.5mm audio jack) 3) coaxial/optical to R/L audio converter to connect amp with 3.5mm audio to R/L audio cable into the connect amp I tried connecting an optical cable from the TV to the cable box and then using R/L audio cables directly to the connect amp and this did not work. Your help is more than welcome! Thank you, Desperately, AmooseZuri :)

Automatic mute incoming call

When playing music and getting an incoming call on my android phone there's no easy and fast way to mute the music, (as I now about). Is there any way to have this issue fixed. As it is today I choose to not play music due to incoming work calls.

Remote Control

I just got a new Remote control from AT&T that I use to control the TV (Samsung 55"). My current Remote works fine with the SONOs Playbar volume. Question: to get the volume control on the SONoS with the new remote; do I have to setup the playBar from scratch or is there an easier way?

can you use a play 1 as a computer speaker

It would be great to use play 1 as computer speaker. i dont want to buy other third party speakers, i just want to add to my sonos system! buy 2 and pair them. and if I need them elsewhere i can just move them and use them as normal. maybe an added feature on the mac app that would allow it to be mirrored the same way you can play music from you ipad now.

What can work with existing Bose ceiling speakers?

I currently have a 20+ year old system, including 2 Bose Accoustimass 5 speakers wired into the ceiling and subwoofer in one room and a pair of wired speakers in another, with an receiver and CD player. I'd like to wirelessly stream music but don't want to rip out my ceiling speakers, but can upgrade the rest of the system. I don't know anything about this stuff - is there a set up that can work with the current Bose?

Playbar ethernet connections

I have a playbar, sub and two Play:1 all connected wireless to my home network. (so nothing wired) Can i use one of the ethernet connectors at the back of the playbar to connect my smart-tv to my home network?
