Trying countless permutations of commands, it seams that my default HDMI input in the TV has changed. Its not ideal, but for now I switched the HDMI cables and now when I ask alexa to turn on the TV, its on the correct HDMI input setting. The tv is a vizio. Does anyone know how to switch HDMI inputs within the tv via Alexa?

I try to add sonos to my google home control. I log on correctly to my sonos account and it completes the process. But at the end, the home control does not get added. I check that everything that the system is updated and all my phones are updated as well.

So I’ve been looking at sonos products recently and think the newer amp may be ideal for my situation. Currently I have 4 In-ceiling speakers in my living room which is separated from dining/kitchen by French doors ideally for parties etc id like to play music through the 4 hardwired ceiling speakers as well as two of the sonos play speakers in the dining and kitchen rooms..will this work? one question I can’t seem to find is that is there a limit to how many sonos products I can link together with the amp? Ie. Can I have 4 total sonos play and a sound bar as well as a hardwired sub connected through the amp? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Im very satisfied with the Sonos hardware and wireless streaming technology throughout the house, but the content of what we can play on out speakers is thin. It would be great if Sonos had an AM/FM tuner that could send local radio broadcasts to the speakers around our house. (Think NPR broadcasts from our local public radio stations that aren’t available to stream online.) Yes, I have a connect, but it’s connected to our stereo system. And I f I want to play the radio through the stereo and Sonos there’s a terrible delay. No good. The only solution at this point is a second connect and a dedicated radio tuner.

Hi, I'm looking to move from Amazon Music Unlimited to Deezer as Deezer appears to be the only streaming service that integrates into the Virtual DJ software that I use. I see that Deezer has an Alexa skill. I would rather go for Deezer Hifi than Premium but am mindful that the vast majority of my music streaming requests are made by voice to Alexa via my Sonos Ones and Beam. I have two questions: 1) Will I get FLAC quality when requesting Deezer streams via Alexa or is it only through using the SONOS app? 2) When Google assistant is available via SONOS Ones and Beam will I be able to request FLAC quality Deezer streams using this? Hi, I have my Sonos System (Playbase, Sub and 2 Play1) up and running using a wired connection. Now, I would like to bring the Speakers on my wifi. I have created a separate SSID, just for Sonos, with the recommendations here from the forum. The playbase comes up and I can play music on the playbase using my phone or tablet or whatever. But the Sub and the 2 Play1 will not join the group. They are connected to the Wifi, but they will not form the group. anything special I need to consider, to get this working as well? BR Florian

Hi everyone I’ve just bought 4 x Sonos One’s and 1 x Beam. I’ve committed to the Sonos ecosystem fairly quickly. My appliances all use Alexa, but I am a staunch Apple and Apple Music fan. I’m trying to set up the Apple Music skill and it won’t link. It seeks to think I’m in another country. I go to the Alexa app > Music > Add Service > Apple Music is NOT displayed (Spotify and something called Deezer are) I add the Apple Music skill from “Skills and Tricks”, I sign in and I’m told it’s not available in my country or region. I’ve spent thousands on products that can’t be returned (store policy in Myer Australia). PLEASE HELP 😭😭😭

I have a playbar 5.1 setup and recently tried to play a movie that was encoded with AAC 5.1 audio. When that didn't work, I found a thread that said that the playbar only will support AC3. My question is: can the Beam play AAC 5.1 or would it be better to re-encode the file to AC3. Thank you!

Hi, Alexa will play requested music ok through my sonos 3, but when i ask her to play a radio station it will only come through my Echo dot.........any ideas how to keep through the Sonos? Thanks

Trying to update on a Mac, I got error code 1100, telling me to uninstall and re-download. I uninstalled, but when I went to the link and tried to download, all I got were "release notes," and no download.

Since the last update the android mobile devices that previously connected to SonosNet cant see the network in the list of available WiFi SSIDs. Also the option in Advanced setting that allows you the option to connect to SonosNet has disappeared. All my devices and the controller are showing 10.2 as the version. My phone updated 17 hours and that ties in with the connection disappearing.

I have several Sonos Play1, Sonos Connect and recently got a Sonos One. Voice command works just fine to play music throughout all rooms. Requires to be close to Sonos One, and have all speakers grouped. Added a Alexa Dot in the bed room, thinking I could add the Alexa Tab to the system and control the Sonos Players also from the Dot. The charm would have been to start music in one room, and basically go to bed and command Sonos/Alexa from there. Is that possible? That would be awesome

Trying to use a new LG OLED TV that uses Dolby Atmos with my new Sonos Amp to set up a surround environment using two wired speakers as fronts, two Play:1s as rears, and a phantom center channel. But I read that ARC HDMI on the LG TV won't support Dolby Atmos. Anyone out there know if this will work?

set up beam, works with everything, apple tv, smart tv netflix ect, cant get sound from DTV box. checked audio setting on dtv box, tv, beam, no luck, get beautiful pic...no sound, tried otic to HDMI swapped hdmi cables and inputs on tv still no sound. can anyone help? thanks

I received the Vinyl Pro Set ordered from the Sonos website as a wedding gift. The box I received contains two Play 5 speakers and a Pro-Ject Essential III Phono turntable. I cannot seem to connect the turntable to Bluetooth so I can stream my records. The instructions for the turntable are no help. Please let me know what I need to do. Thanks so much for the help.

Sonos suddenly went offline overnight (possibly during power outage) and I cannot get back online. Have unplugged both router and the beam. Should be able to resolve this, any suggestions.

Hi, My husband and I have separate paid google play accounts (with our own preferences in each). We've recently updated the sonos app and are having difficulties to set up two sonos accounts to be used on our home system (one playbar and several play 1 around the house). Further on, once google assistant is available in Poland (it's not available for us over here yet!), will it be able to recognize our different google accounts? Any advice on how to set up multiple sonos accounts on the same sonos system? We don't want to mix our music preferences / configs under the same sonos account. Thanks!

Hi guys, I just purchased a Klipsch home theater system and I am hoping to also connect speakers in other rooms to the system as a separate zone setup for wireless. I was planning to try to run wires through the condo, but it's a pain, so I was considering getting the rocketfish wireless unit just to connect to my Onkyo's zone 2 and 3 outputs. I've recently come across the Sonos and I am wondering if it can help me achieve the same thing with better quality and also I hope you can help me figure out the most cost-effective way to do this (do I need to get a Sonos connect:amp for everything? What else do I need to get everything going?). The background: I purchased a Klipsch reference bundle, but ended up getting the reference premier set as well. Now I will be selling the reference subwoofer and center speaker and the yamaha receiver that came with the reference bundle, but keeping everything else.
