I do not understand something. I have sonos one. I have amazon in Poland, paid version. music is played back by the applications on your phone and computer. I have combined applications with sonos - but I can not play because it does not work in my location !!! ---- yyyy .... I do not understand

Have my Beam set up with my Sony Bravia tv via Arc, sounding great. If I then stream some music, I then can’t find how I revert back to the TV sound once the music is stopped, I’m having to turn the TV on and off to get the sound back. I bet I’m missing something obvious!

Hi all, Yesterday i noticed that the beam had disconnected from my Samsung TV. Its been connected via Arc for 3 months with no issues. Now, when using the remote to adjust volume, its displaying the volume level with "tv speaker" next to it. There must be a signal, because i can adjust the volume on my phone and over power the tv speaker volume. Ive cycled power on TV, Beam and cycled the ARC lead. Are there firmware issues at the moment that im unaware of? Streaming music fine so no issue with the hardware. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Hello Sonos Community! I have a Sony STR-DH790 multi channel AVR powering 7 built in wired speakers in my family room. I want to extend the same music/sound outdoors to play simultaneously, but don’t yet have an outdoor system. Do Sonos wireless audio solutions allow for this type of connectivity to an existing AVR? If so, what do I need to make this work?

Can I make a Bluetooth speaker that is connected to an Echo Dot play together with my two Sonos Ones and Sonos Connect? If so, what is the set up method?

Cannot play Spotify

I have the Play One with Alexa which works amazing. I also have an Echo Dot in another room that works beautifully with my Sonos system. The only slightly annoying thing is that I have to tell my Echo Dot "Play Rock in the Living room". If I don't specifically say "in the living room" the dot plays the music (which is technically correct). Does anyone know if there is a way to change the default player/speaker so that I no longer have to specifically say the location of the speakers I want to use? In other words I would just say "Play Rock" and my Sonos speakers would kick on. I can't seem to find anything specific to this question while searching the Alexa forums.

For aesthetics my Playbar is hidden behind my wall mounted Sony Bravia tv. I have set up the remote and when in direct line (from the side) of the Playbar I can adjust the volume, however when sitting directly in front of the tv I can’t adjust the volume. The tv receiver starts picking up the remote and the TVs volume bar just goes up and down. Is there an easy fix for this?!

I would love to get rid of my receiver and use the new sonos amp. I already have a sub and a def tech mythos SSA-50 passive soundar that has 5 channels. I enjoy the quality of both. Can I: 1. connect my tv to sonos amp 2. Connect 4 of 5 channels of mythos passive playbar (omit center) 3. Connect my sub to sonos amp 4. Pair 2 sonos ones as rear speakers Will this give me 4.1 sound with simulated center by sonos amp? How do you think quality would be for movie watching? For music? This seems cheaper than starting from scratch and buying an all sonos solution.

My daughter was round our house for Xmas and used her Spotify, on an iPhone 6S, to create a playlist over my SONOS Play:1. The next day, when she was at her own house, 4 miles away, she was trying to use her Spotify to play over her own Bluetooth speaker, unfortunately my Play:1 started up on its own, and as the Bluetooth speaker wasn't responding she tried increasing the volume, yes you guessed it, the Play:1 began blasting out with the music she was trying to play! I have a Play:1, Play:3 and Play:5, with the Bridge, can anyone suggest how this could have happened? Jon

When asking Alexa on my Spotify One’s I always get the reply: ”Please link a Spotify Premium account...”. My premium account have been linked and works perfectly thru Sonos. Spotify is selected as default music service in the Alexa app. Use UK location on both Alexa app and Sonos app. Spotify account is however Swedish. Any idea or fix to this problem?

I have a Sunbrite outdoor TV. I currently use DirectTV but want to go to a streaming service. The Sunbrite is not a smart TV. The audio for the outdoor TV currently uses RCA cables to connect the DirectTV box to the wired Sonos amp, which then is wired to the outdoor speakers. I'll have to use a firestick or such to get streaming video to the TV. The TV has a digital audio output jack but the sonos amp just has the RCA inputs. Any guidance on how to do this, preferably with existing components?

Hi I recently got a Sonos one and Alexa worked fine to begin with. I recently added 2x play 5’s (gen 2) as a pair. All 3 speakers are in the same large room, so I set up pair of play 5’s as one room and Sonos one as another and grouped them. I also then added a boost. Since doing this Alexa will answe questions like what’s the weather (so I know connected to WiFi), but when you say play “xyz” it says it will but nothing. I’ve reset the Sonos one and have it set up as a separate room again (ungrounded), but still no joy. I’m sure it’s something silly, please help Thanks!

I have two Sonos one’s which I use as a paired set in the same room as a playbar and sub connected to a TV. I want to use the one’s independently as a pair (with Alexa) and occasionally use as a home theatre with the play bar and sub. Is there any other way to do this apart from grouping to get true home theatre?

I recently bought a pair of Sonos Ones I have them set up as a stereo pair and if I play music through them using the Sonos Controller everything works beautifully. However, with the new AirPlay functionality I thought it would be great to use them as speakers for my Mac. My Mac OS is up to date and I can see the speakers in the sound menu and play sound through them. My previous set up was to use the speakers built into my monitor. Unfortunately the sound played through the Sonos Ones via Airplay is poor quality - I have tried playing things on YouTube and things on Spotify (not using Spotify connect) on the computer and the sound is rather "muddy" - it is much clearer when coming out of the monitor speakers. Since then I have read that Mac OS only supports Airplay 2 via iTunes and not through the system audio. None of my Ones are working with Alexa today. They can stream using the Sonos app. Other Echo devices are working with Alexa. Anyone else having this?

My setup: Roku Ultra 4660 (2018 model) and Samsung UN65KS8000F with Playbar Roku connected via HDMI to Samsung's TV 'One Connect' From TV using optical out to Playbar Samsung states that TV will NOT process 5.1 through an HDMI input. HOWEVER... When I use Plex on the Roku - I get 5.1 on Sonos! When I have a DVD player going through HDMI, I also get 5.1 on Sonos. So it IS passing.... If I use Samsung Netflix App, I get 5,1. But If I use Roku Netflic App, I can only get Stereo. No matter how hard I try! So: Is Samsung incorrect when they say TV will not pass 5.1 when the input source is an external HDMI? Would the Roku Ultra 4640 (2016 Model) have passed 5.1 from netflix? Does a converter exist that can see ALL types of input and make it into 5.1? P.S. I'm considering buying a Sonos Beam and at least two Sonos Ones (possibly four). My aim is to get the best set up for TV viewing and be able to also have a stereo setup for music. Is it possible to have a setup where the beam is only used for TV and the Ones for Music? Is it possible to have a setup where the beam does the center channel and the ones do the left and right for TV viewing? Is it possible to have a setup where the beam does the center channel and the ones do the left and right front and rear for TV viewing? Is it possible to have the above options setup and be able to switch to a stereo configuration for music e.g. Spotify? Can you easily (automatically) switch between configurations? Is there any value to having a beam with two play ones along side at the front? Is it better or worse then two play ones for a music biased setup? Essentially I'm looking for a TV mode and a Music mode if that makes any sense?

I have a beam setup in my living room and had two Play1s setup as surround. I had to move them, so they were unplugged and now they won’t reconnect. We plugged the Beam directly into the router via Ethernet, still no luck. I am getting a “Setup Incomplete error- check that the speakers are plugged to power and that the date and time settings on the device are correct.” I submitted diagnotic report 424563981.

Hi guys. I have a playbar and two Alexa enabled Sonos ones setup as a surround system in the lounge. I now also have another Alexa enabled One in the kitchen. When I’m playing music in the lounge I can ask Alexa to play in the kitchen, but it stops playing in the lounge. How do I get it to play in the kitchen as well as the lounge? Meaning play everywhere instead of transferring from one to the other

I've seen various posts that try to piece together how to get rid of the "ducking" feature. We have 5 rooms setup with SONOS. We were an early adopter to SONOS and none of ours have the Alexa App built in. For XMAS we got our daughter the Kids Echo Dot. It is in her room that does not have a SONOS speaker. How do we disable ducking on our SONOS rooms? Our music "ducks" no less than 10 times an hour. Thanks
