Hello,

I was wondering i want to set up a playbar with 2 play 1's

do i need to also purchase a bridge or boost?

No, a Bridge or Boost is no longer required. Though it is recommended for households with many Sonos units.
No. You can setup your system with either one (or more) Sonos devices connected to the network (often call 'wired' or 'sonosnet' or have them all work wirelessly with your existing wifi network. This document goes into more detail. The purpose of adding a Boost is you can use that to connect to your network instead of your playbar.

In most cases, Sonosnet will give you better performance, so if at all possible, I would directly connect your playbar to the router. If you can't do that, and wifi doesn't work well for you, then I would look into getting a Boost.
