I have a sound problem with my Playbar, apparently only with TV and not when I'm listen to music. There is a choppy sound, also in my two Sonos:1 (surround) and I have to unplug the Playbar and reconnect it to stop this problem. This happens about every two to three days. This is really annoying...

The Sonance 86 on the Sonance website has a 8" Woofer selling for $799 but it seems like the Sonos/Sonance speaker adapted for SONOS has the specs of the smaller Sonance Mariner 66 for the same price. For the same price my question is I would prefer to get the bigger Sonance 86 but how does this work with the new Sonos amp. What advantage would it be to get the adapted Sonos/Sonance?

Hi, I’m new to Sonos and I’m looking to replace my existing TV/surround and Music systems that currently sit at opposite ends of a long lounge. I have found a few threads that give partial answers to my questions so apologies for any repetition here! I want to be able to keep my CD and Turntable set up but reduce the footprint (and wires!) that accompany my existing kit (see below for list of all components). My overall questions is this: Would a Sonos amp, beam, sub and a pair of ones effectively solve my problem? I have a couple of decent Q-Acoustic book shelf speakers. Am I right in thinking the set up above IN ADDITION to these speakers would provide surround sound ? E.g. Would the beam provide the centre channel audio and the Q-Acoustics the front left and right channels? So theres my house with an Asus AimEsh system, contains 3 routers AC88u as main, and 2 AC66Bu1 as nods. I have some Sonos components in separated rooms: - Living room - surround system: playbase, sub, 2x play 1 as sorrounds - Work room: Play 1 - Bedroom: Playbar - Bathroom: One In the living room one of the surrunds was accidently unplugged. After it I can't connect it back at all. I have tried the following: - restart router - disable airtime fairness - see this here in a topic like this - turn off nods - restart phone/wifi/application - unplug speakers - connect with eternet cable - add as a surround None of these helped. Hello, I actually own a BenQ W1090 with a BenQ WDP02 (Wireless Video) and I plan to buy a Sonos Beam. Will I be able to connect it to the HDMI output of the WDP02 and have the sound from the video projector in my Sonos Beam ?

I'm interested in converting my existing system. I'm looking to have a 5.1 system in the family room, with the ability to add speakers in other rooms and outside (the patio is covered). To be honest, I'm a bit overwhelmed at all the different combinations and what I really need. I currently have a Yamaha receiver which my cable, apple TV and Blu Ray player are connected to providing one input source to the TV. The receiver has multi zone capability and I would like to retain that option going forward. I would appreciate any help or guidance that could be provided.

Is there a way to have the speaker volume come on at a default setting rather than where it was last left? On a couple of occasions I have been scared out of me boots when I restart playing music because the room volume was last set really really high! If not available today, perhaps this could be an enhancement added in a future software release. It would therefore be nice to have 2 settings, 1 to enable or disable the feature itself and 1 to allow definition of the required default volume level, both settings on a "per room" basis. The Sonos Amp will be available in february for me. I am now contemplating the setup for my tv-living room. I would like to hook the Amp to the TV. I have a discreet setup with no cables/wires showing, Ideal for me would be if I can use the wired connections on the amp for the rear speakers and my two planned Play5 gen2 as fronts. Would this be possible with the Amp?

I have a midi controller set up with Logic X. I'd like to run the sound currently being output on the Mac's speakers to a Line In on the Sonos system so I could hear it with the Sonos speakers. How do you make that happen? Thanks

I recently bought a Sonos Beam which i am really enjoying. After i bought it i realized that it could not be used with Alexa multi room music which was very disappointing. I have been trying to find out if i can use an Amazon Echo Input with my Sonos Beam and then add it to my multi room music in the Alexa app using the Input. I feel like this is just too easy of a solution and there has to be a catch. Any help is appreciated.

Apple-TV connected to TV. Sonos Amp (the new one) connected HDMI-ARC. Question will the AppleTV remote control the volume of the Amp like it does with the Playbar?

Hi - I've just changed my wifi router (we now have fibre broadband instead of ADSL, and needed new router to enable this), but now I have problems streaming music and radio via Alexa. Before this change, our two Sonos Ones (in different rooms) worked fine with built-in Alexa, as did our stereo pair of Sonos Play:1s with our Echo Dot. Following the change of router, I've updated SSIDs / passwords accordingly, but have now found that whilst Alexa responds to me on all devices (it will tell me the time, etc.), it will not play music / radio (when I ask it to do so, it will say e.g. "BBC Radio 1 from TuneIn playing on Living Room", but doesn't actually play it). My Sonos system still works fine for all rooms if I operate it via the Sonos app (e.g. I can play BBC Radio 1 from TuneIn, and music from Spotify, etc., if ask it to do so via the app). This is true of all devices, apart from one of our Sonos Ones which WILL play e.g. radio as a result of voice command, but it won't sto

Hi all, Hoping to get some help. I am looking to get a Beam to hook up with my TV and use my 2 existing Play:1 as surround channels. I have a 3rd party subwoofer I want to use with this system, am I best in connecting a Connect AMP to the network and connect the subwoofer in to that? Will the Beam see the Connect AMP as part of the system? Basically I want the subwoofer to have the.1 channel in the 5.1 Many thanks for any help.

Hi, Has anybody tried to reset the new amp? I’ve had to take it out of a restraunt and set it up in the owners house under a new login and music details etc. Any help would be appreciated. Has anyone taken a Sonos from the US to Japan? Does a US model work in Japan?

The Windows Sonos app doesn't seem to show the length of songs either in the queue or the library. I can't find anywhere in the options or settings to enable that either. How can that be shown? Sometimes it is highly relevant to choosing which cut(s) I want to play.

Setup question. I have a living room TV with a Beam, Sub, and two play 1’s as surround. I’m having two outside patio speakers installed Wednesday so we can listen to Music outside. I ordered the new Amp so I can use the outdoor speakers either for music or for the TV if a game is one inside. Does that mean I should run the beam off the optical and the new amp off the HDMI Arc input? I assume I’ll still be able to control the beam with my remote but sounds like I’ll only be able to control the Amp with my phone? Thanks for your suggestions.

I'm confused by this IFTTT applet. I want to stop all music on ALL Sonos devices if ANY Nest Protect detects smoke. I'd assume this is what most people want to happen in an emergency, however the applet only allows you to select one Sonos device to stop and one Nest Protect to use as a trigger! Am I missing something obvious? Presumably you can't have multiple versions of the applet for all the different permutations?

Recently purchased 2 x Ones to replace my Echos. So Alexa is already setup and configured to work with my Hue lights. The new One’s work well with the Hue Scenes, whole rooms go on and off easily. However, if I choose to pick one specific light to turn on or off I get: “XXX isn’t responding. Please check network or power...” The lights are all active in the Alexa app and I can turn them on/off from there. Help would be appreciated ?

Really need some help figuring out which way is up here. I want to use my speakers with my AppleTV for watching movies and listening to music. I listened to demo speakers at the store. To be honest, a pair of Play5s may just be enough for my taste, but would like the option for true stereo later on. The AppleTV can connect to the One, Play5, and Beam through AirPlay or I can do the Beam through HDMI ARC. If I if I just get a 5 to start and get a second one later, will they be stereo L/R or just two speakers playing the same thing? If I get the Beam and connect with ARC, will it set up a network that I can then use with non-AirPlay speakers like the Play1?
