Hi,Not sure if anyone has asked that already (couldn’t find any posts) but why the ERA300 cannot be used with the SONOS amp and SUB as surround speakers. Why do one need to use the ERA100’s ??I didn’t expect that one would have to get the ARC in order utilize these great speakers as the surrounds

Hello,  I’ve had issues for weeks…I moved from the US overseas- obviously requiring a new network. I finally had a person via chat tell me that I needed to update my Vodafone setting to split the 2.4 and 5G. So now I have the WiFi split. Finally getting some momentum in not having to connect my be via the Ethernet in order for it to be recognized. However, when I go to update the network, to the new 5G, all four products I own appear, and all connect except for the beam. It is recognized, then at the very end of the work flow states something went wrong, please select your product again. I then go to search again, and it doesn’t pop up a second time. If I kill the app. Then the beam pops up and I restart the process each time with the same error message. Any advice?? Thank you in advance 

I am used to stream the local national radio stations - for witch we already pay concessions - listen add-free. But with sonos I allways have adds when starting up the radio stations. In general the software interface from Sonos is Not Open for normal radio streams. 

My brother has Sonos speakers throughout his home so staying in the Sonos ecosystem and using the app to control music throughout his home is important to him.One problem...He has outdoor pool speakers that are not Sonos brand.So, a few years ago I gave him my old Sonos PORT.  He plugged that into an Audiovox amp and was able to use the Sonos app to control those pool speakers.The Audiovox amp is no longer working and we are trying to find a cheap solution to get his pool speakers back up and running.Looking on Amazon I came up with a few 300 watt amps that are dirt cheap in price but have mostly favorable reviews.   All he would need to do is plug the PORT and his pool speakers into the amp.I want to order from Amazon as in most cases, I can get it next day and it’s easy to return if it doesn’t work out.Do you guys feel any of these amps at a $100 pricepoint or less will work?https://www.amazon.com/Beffkkip-Amplifier-Receiver-Bluetooth-Integrated/dp/B0DJ2Z4285?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.bUUO3Z6

I purchased 2 sonos move 2 olive green at a goodwill. One works great the other was open box in a beta test box that says prima evt and has a flower pit on the front as well as a disclaimer sticker.   Both have the same serial numbers A100 2301WC ************One works great the other from the beta box wont register or update.  Any help would be great. I called sonos and they have no serial # like that. Want to know if i have a giant paper weight or if theres a fix. ( YES i did all the steps to try and fix, yes its plugged in..lol)Moderator edit: recorded and removed serial number

I was not able to connect Soundbar with my iPhone using the airplay. It keeps asking me Airplay on screen code which I never had it. Please advise. Thanks 

I haven’t used my Sonos for a few months.  I trued to use today and only one of my speakers are working and n one room.  The other won’t sync—it’s on. Account tells me to sign in and sign out.  Having trouble doing both/either so I can’t get anything done Moderator Edit - Edited thread title.

I have an iheartradio subscription,  however on my android phone Sonos application, iheartradio is not listed as an available service. Called customer service twice. Rebooted router,phone ,all my Sonos speakers,un-installed and reinstalled the App with no luck.  Sent Sonos diagnostic info x 3. All my info on Sonos.com is correct. Live in Illinois. The iheartradio App works fine on my phone. Any ideals?

Posting this to make sure I am not missing something.    I am a long time Sonos customer.  Recently decided to add a Turntable to my system.   Looked at Victrola Stream Carbon sold by Crutchfield and Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable sold by Sonos coupled with the Era100 and line-in adaptor.  I went for the Pro-ject T1 and Era100 combo.    Got the Turntable and Era connected after receiving the separately ordered RCA -Y male to 3.5mm mini jack.  Everything working fine.  Era100 (my first) is very nice sound!  But there seems to be some shortcomings on both the Turntable and Sonos app which is why I am posting this to get some perspective from others.  First, it’s been many years since I owned a Turntable so I had assumed a modern Turntable would have a few standard features like auto return once it reached the end of the vinyl side or the platter motor would idle once the arm is returned to a resting position.   What I discovered is that I have bought a very, very basic turntable.  Must p

How can I set the volume higher on my two play 1?Al the sound comes out the ray and only a little on my play 1 devices 

I’m on the latest Plex Media Server and Plexamp versions, and I’m trying to Cast a music playlist from my PMS to various Sonos devices via Plexamp. I know this can be done internally via the Plex plugin on the Sonos app. I tried that and it works flawlessly besides I really miss Loudness Leveling in PlexAmp.So, I’m playing the playlist from Plexamp, streaming it to Sonos. All the connections are “working” – I see the Sonos devices in the Cast icon of Plexamp and the Plex metadata is reaching the Sonos UI in the form of song titles, but music isn’t playing. Instead it beachballs for about 10 secs when I start a playlist and then moves to the next song in the playlist. It does it over and over. If I stop casting to Sonos, Plexamp is fine again.It’s got to be something between plexamp and Sonos. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Just finally caved in and added Spotify to our Sonos.Have Sonos Playbar, a pair of Play3’s and a Sonos Move.  Spotify within Sonos will not play on the Play3’s, alone!  Have to play Spotify tracks on the Playbar first and add the Play3’s!! Then they’ll play the music??  If I then remove the Playbar.  Then they’ll play music will STOP playing!!REALLY SONOS!!  apart from a really slow system l, how much more useless is this system going to become?

I recently bought a projector and a sonos beam gen 2 soundbar to connect both to my PC and have a cheap home-cinema setup. Eventhough I can connect my PC to the Beam, I cannot use the beam as a speaker, I can only cast music on it from the Sonos app. Is there a possibility to do what I have in mind?

I have had issues with my system for a long time. Response from my phone has been crap at best. Sometimes it worked but was extremely slow often it did not work at all. I have a modern WiFi that gives me a connection that works for 2.4 GHz as well as for 5 Ghz. Sonos speakers use 2.4 and my phone use 5. Making a new net using only 2.4 and connecting my phone to it solved everything. I now have two nets. One for my computers and stuff that needs faster internet and another for the phones and Sonos. It is for sure a work around but it works. Sonos should solve the issue since most modern routers works as mine. I hope I can help someone else with this post. Since I have been struggling whit this issue for years before this struck me as it might be the issue.  

Trying to connect Sonos to Alexa but when go to settings to add component or speaker it won’t let me click on add button. Why is that?

I just bought a 2nd Era 300 speaker to add to my present Era 300. How come the power light of the 2nd Era 300 just keeps on blinking after plugging it in to a wall outlet. I’m unable to set it up. 

When I play a song in Soundcloud the play button just spins forever and no sound plays.I tried reauthorizing.

Is there a noticeable difference in sound quality between Arc and eArc?   I currently have Beam Gen 2, sub mini and 2x Era 300 surrounds. My Panasonic GX800 TV  (from 2019 I believe) has Arc not eArc. The sound sources I see on the Sonos app are Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus 2.0 and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. What other sound sources would show on the app if I upgraded my TV to eArc?  Dolby True HD?  Or would I need to get an eArc TV and alsio upgrade the soundbar to perhaps Arc Ultra.?  

Hi i need help , it s impossible to connect my IKEA symphonic lamp , I tried all but nothing works ... If someone con help me please . I sicces to connect of the Sonos application but not with the TV , and impossible to put my music from my phone too.... 

Just changed from Sky Hub to Vodafone ultra hub. System worked great previously, have two paired Play1 rears (2016) a beam and a gen3 Sub. I’m also on the latest app, but when I try to connect everything back up, the best I can get is the following… I can’t get everything to connect in the same room to set up a 5:1 system, when I add the rear surrounds to the beam it disconnects from the sub. Tries resetting everything and starting from scratch adding one by one but failing miserably. Like I said, all connected fine until I changed bb provider, any tips appreciated 

My wired Kitchen pair of Play:1s (set to static IP) have been a problem for weeks now.  They keep dropping out and when they do they are greyed out on the app.  I restarted my router there that appeared to fix the problem for now, but obviously that isn’t very convenient.  Before I contact tech support, is there any things I should be looking out for? 

Hi, I know nothing! Just moved to new apartment and have new WiFi but can’t get any connection. Trying to reboot for factory setting but struggling with 1000 versions. All know is I bought the system pre-Covid sometime. Any ideas at all…other than buy a new one?cheers Claus

It often happens that I cannot control the volume in one room. I can disconnect the S1 par but have no volumen control dot on the line. 

For weeks my app is saying that i have to login as system owner. I am the actual owner but i’m unable to do so :(Everytime i’m trying to login, i end up with a blank screen and there i can’t do anything.Next option is to ‘open in chrome’  but then, after filling in my user & Pass, it reverts back to the same blank page, only with an extra: ‘Something went wrong’Why is this happening? I just want to make some simple changes in the system settings, or just listen to Sonos-radio….  I’m working on an Iphone 12 mini, with newest software version. I have already reinstalled the app, resetted the app etc etc.  

Can the era 300 plays in Dolby atmos when paired in stereo?
