I have Sonos system with:Sonos OS S1, Version 11.15.2I want to connect it to a router which is running OpenWRT. I connected a USB drive to the router with my music library. Samba4 does not fit on the router, so I did install ksmbd-server. But my Sonos can not connect to it while on Windows I can map a drive to it (so sharing does work).Now my question:I’m completely confused if I need to use SMB1 or SMB2 on this router. When I read the posts about this then it seems that for a S2 system SMB2 is needed. Do S1 systems only support SMB1? I upgraded to the last Sonos software (11.15.2). Does that mean that I need SMB2 now for this S1 system too?I did read that ksmbd does not support SMB1. Is that the reason I can not get it to work? Can I somehow make this Sonos S1 system to support SMB2?

My Sonos library sits on my NAS (a QNAP device) in a subfolder:192.168.1.163//Multimedia/MusicThis Music Library shows up perfectly well in my Sonos app and I can play music happily from it.My source Music library sits on my Windows laptop, managed by iTunes.  I exported my playlists to “library.xml” as described in this article on Apple’s support sitehttps://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/itunes/itns2998/windowsI copied “library.xml” to the Music folder above, so it’s at the same level as artist folders, but not in a folder itself.I then re-indexed my library, but when I look at “Imported Playlists” within “Music Library” in any Sonos app (iOS, Windows, macOS) it’s empty.Can anyone advise where I’m going wrong? Many thanks,Chris

I have speakers that run on only one or the two available apps.  Is it possible to run some that work on Sonos 2 and the other speaker on Sonos 1?

I finally got to purchasing a mobile phone for myself. One of the first things I wanted to do is use the Sonos app with my android phone. Until now, I’ve been using the app on my computer for years. First off, the phone will not load the playlist on my external drive into the queue. Never been a problem with the computer app. It gives me the informative message “Unable to add to queue”. No matter what I do, it will not create a queue from my playlist - very disappointing. Second, why in comparison is the computer app so straightforward and easy to navigate while the phone app is very confusing and frustrating? I was going to purchase a Move for my wife, but she will never be able to navigate that convoluted set up. The computer applications is so simple and practical - why complicate it?

Hey everyone,I purchased a new Hisense Canvas TV and will be connecting it to the Arc Ultra. Here is my question/dilemma regarding the ports. (1) the HDMI 1 Port is an eArc, 2.0 4K @60Hz (See pic). (2) the HDMI Ports 3 and 4 are 2.1, 4K @144HzShould the Arc Ultra plug into the HDMI 2.0 eArc (4K@60Hz) or the 2.1, 4K@144Hz for the best performance?Thanks for any help!MCK

After updating to 80.21.6 (iOS) at the end of May, I am experiencing an issue where my music randomly stops playing when I have speakers/rooms in a group. When the music stops playing, I open the app and the speaker group no longer exists, requiring me to set up the group again and restarting my music. It is very random, sometimes occurring after ~8 hours of total play time and other times it happens after only a couple of hours of play time. Last week, I updated to 80.22.33 and the issue still occurs. I have no issues playing music to a single speaker/room, the music never stops. It’s only when I group speakers/rooms.  Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions on what might be causing this?

I use Amazon Music. Is there a way I cast my music directly from the Amazon Music app to my Sonos without using the (very annoying) Somos App? Thanks!

I have two Sonos Play 1 (1st generation, and 2d generation with Alexa).It was working almost fine (well, except this horrible application ).I had twice power outage. First one : OK. Second One : The App can’t find both Sonos.WHen I try to reconnect, the app ask to run bluetooth...except thos Sonos doesn’t have blutooth ! I’m sticked.I tried with Sonos S1 app...stucked too.The Wifi is still the same.HELP please !I’m thinking to buy somethig else soon,  seeing all the troubles I haveThanks

ZP00 will not factory reset, only displays only amber light

My system stops playing after every song.  I have to restart the playlist after each song.  Does anybody have any ideas what is causing this to happen? 

My music source is primarily my Plex server. I have multiple Sonos systems.  One system has just a Move and is located on the same network as the Plex server.  Another system has only a Beam and is located remotely from the Plex server.  The third system is also located remotely from the Plex server and contains two setups there: Home theater (Arc Ultra+2 Fives+Sub (Gen 3)) and a Move.    The first two systems play playlists from the Plex server just fine.  Changes have been made over time, and I can now play playlist as big as 9K songs.  That’s great.  On the setup that has the Arc Ultra, it will not play any Plex playlist (short or long).  It simply times out and says cannot play song and skips to next, skips to next and on and on.  The Move at the same location has no problem playing any Plex playlists.  This tells me it is not a network delay issue.  I recently discovered that if I start a Plex playlist with the Move, then add the Arc Ultra setup, the Arc plays the music just fine

I have a Sonos Boost that all my S2 Sonos devices are connected quite happily to.  I have a pair of Play 5 Gen 1s on the S1 app. These are connected to my normal WiFi (as I can see WM1 in the settings). I’d like to get them onto Sonosnet at as well as we have a busy WiFi area that causes interference here however in the S1 app Sonosnet is greyed out.  If I Ethernet one of my play 5s into my router will it then create another Sonosnet for its paired Play 5? 

I have searched and seen similar topics.  Most relate to Amazon Music.  I do not have any issues playing a Spotify playlist of more than 100 songs.  If I select a playlist in my Music Library, any of the ways to get music into the queue results in 100 songs.I have tried the workarounds to empty the queue, add one song and then select Play Next for the entire playlist.  That does not work.  Nor does any of the selections to add or play the playlist in the queue.  All result in an error and/or just the first 100 songs being added.I can scroll to the end of my playlist.  The only way to play a song outside of the top 100 is to only add that song to the playlist.  If I select any song beyond the top 100, it will play the 100th song.FWIW, I have my playlists in 2 formats, iTunes and m3u.  Both behave the same.  I get the same behavior on all devices.  I currently only have Android devices, all running the latest available app in the Google Play Store, version 80.17.09…How can I play larger

Hi, I’ve just bought the Arc Ultra soundbar to stream music via bluetooth from my phone.Is there a way to connect via bluetooth to the brand new/never configured before arc ultra?I will mention that:I don’t have wi-fi in my place so can’t configure the sound bar which sims to need it for configuration. Yes, I’ve noticed the bluetooth button on the back of Arc but it does nothing after pressing for a few seconds (no sound, no blue blinking light, no new bluetooth device ready for pairing visible).

I have a Sonos system and would like to have family members be able to control the system without providing my credentials.  Can this be done with their own user id’s?

Has anyone managed to add a music library via an android phone? The add button is greyed out for me. 

We lost the entire system in the app...we have since readded the ERA 100’s and they show in the system but despite multiple resets we cannot get the app to find nor add the Ultra arc despite going through the instructions and it telling us that it has been added...any help would be appreciated

I have my Era 100s set-up as a pair left and right with a Hisense tv. I get sound just fine and no crackling, but I have to turn them up to 75-80 (out of 100) for regular viewing/listening. That seems way too high, when the stock tv speakers I can barely turn up to 25. I have the volume limit off as well. Why are they so low?And yes, I physically go to the slider and make sure they are all the way up on the speakers themselves.  

My play one is no longer showing any power. Tried the factory reboot, but still nothing.

I just got an arc ultra.  Connected through a regular arc port.  I cannot tell if the spatial effects are working correctly.  Is there a way to test this?  Like a youtube video with sounds that ping around the room?

I have just set up 4 Sonance VX60R speakers in the ceiling of my studio and want to optimize them with my Sonos Amp. The speakers are all wired correctly and there are no switches or volume controls. When I try to optimize the speakers on the Sonos App I hear the high pitched tone but receive a message saying “No Sonos architectural speakers detected. Any help optimizing this set up would be appreciated. 

My Sonos of Beam has developed a fault (volume limited to 15), and the web support (chat) could not help.My Beam volume keeps bouncing back to 15, whatever I do, and to be clear: Have factory reset and re-added to my system There is NO volume limit set on the Beam (100%) Happens if used as a standalone speaker or with HDMI connected (note: Sonos support agent was adamant this is just a TV soundbar - I had to explain the Beam can be used just as another speaker, it does not have to be used as a soundbar.   Sonos - please trained your staff up!!
