Hi! - I have a Sonos system (2 Play 1’s as surrounds, Playbar) and also a Connect which I use to link my turntable to the system. Since the Connect is a legacy item, I’ve looked to shield from S2 updates. However, it is getting more and more difficult to avoid e.g. today both Play 1’s went ‘missing’ and the app tells me I have to update to S2 to sort it out.So, 2 questions:Is there any way I can ‘find’ those missing speakers whilst continuing to use S1, or If I have to bite the bullet, what is the best upgrade option to replace my Connect... Port? Amp?Any help, much appreciated - thanks

Hi, new to the forum, hope that someone can help me with a problem I have with a Move speaker.I have had the Move speaker for around a week.  After initially setting it up, it worked perfectly, until it was left for an hour or so and went into hibernation.  From then on, the speaker will not connect to the app via wifi unless I carry out a factory reset.  Bluetooth works all the time without any problems.I have now had to factory reset the Move on numerous occasions to be able to connect to it via wifi.I am connecting from an iphone x to an Asus 90IG01Z0-BU2000 Wireless Gigabit Router.  both the Move and the iphone are definitely on the same wifi connection and I have several other devices running from the wifi that never have any issues.  The Move has been updated to the latest firmware and the app gets stuck at the “Searching for nearby products, make sure they’re powered on” stage.  There are no other routers running in the house, no mesh or boosters and the speaker is sat 5 feet fr

I’m experiencing an audio delay on my Sonos Arc whenever I use native apps like Youtube and Netflix through my LG C9 TV. All the settings I’ve found deal with delaying the audio further, but none let you do the reverse (i.e. delay the video signal or pull the audio signal forward). It’s a delay of somewhere between 100 - 200ms using this a/v sync test video, and it’s just about noticeable to be infuriating: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjAa0wOe5k4 This delay seems much shorter when I watch the video through my Shield device, but I’d like to stick to the native LG apps because of better Atmos support.  Any thoughts on why this might be happening and how to fix? I’ve looked at a couple of posts here and here but I don’t see a negative value for the audio delay on my TV sound settings. Here are my current settings: C9 sound settings: Sound out set to HDMI ARC; Digital sound out set to Passthrough; e-ARC on; AV sync adjustment set to Off Arc: TV dialog delay set to zero.

As long as I am reading the press release correctly 24 bit files can only played locally, correct?  Does anyone know when further bit rates will be incorporated? I would like to get the most out of Qobuz and Amazon Music HD.  Thank you!

Hi Yesterday I bought a Sonos Port so I could be using my streamingservices Apple Music and Tidal on my own stereo.Unfortunately I have an issue using Apple Music, as none of the artist in my own library are shown with pictures but only the dull round white icon with a red microphone inside.I do know that the artists can be shown with pictures, because if I do a search for an artist f.ex. James Taylor I can see the artist correctly in Apple Music but without pictures in my own library inside Apple Music. What can I do to fix the issue? Thanks in advance. Kind regardsFlemming Andreassen

Can you have a Sonos Arc work with 2 sonos Amps as a single room within the sonos App?I’ve read that you can do a 4.1 setup with just two sonos Amps but what about having a sonos Arc with 2 Amps?If I have the appropriate full audio stream feeding into the Sonos Arc from the source device would this setup deliver dolby atmos? One Sonos amp would power two sonance in wall front surround speakers with the sub output being active.  Then a second Amp would power two sonance in ceiling rear speakers as surround speakers (sub output disabled). With the output from the source device plugging directly into the Sonos Arc and the 2 amps communicating wirelessly to the arc in the same room.

Guys….I need some direction here.I’ve got a new network setup so I’m trying to reset my playbar. It has the RJ45 connection and I have tried to do the reset but what I see as examples on how to reset the playbar on Google doesn’t have the same pic as on my playbar. They, whoever they is, say to hold down the play/pause button but my playbar doesn’t have a play/pause button...only the mute button (speaker with a /(slash) thru it. I’ve tried to do a reset holding down that bottom also but no luck.If my new Arc didn’t have such a long delivery time, I’d just move this setup somewhere else and tackle it another day but….. HELP!

Hi there, after the new year Alexa stopped working. I followed the steps on the support page but Alexa is still not responding. Someone has another suggestion? I also rebooted the Sonos and my router.  Tom

I visited a friend with a Sonos system that had an alarm set up in the morning. When I was there I got notifications on my phone when this alarm started. Now, I am home and connected to my own Sonos-system but the alarm notifications keep coming every morning.I have checked the app, and there are no alarms listed. The speaker/room name that shows up in the notification does not exist on my own system, only on my friends system. Both systems run on the S1-app due to older speakers.Any ideas on how to fix this?

After a 4 month renovation, we plugged in our Playbar again. It immediately produced a very annoying high pitched sound. A complete reset to factory settings including reinstalling the sonos app did not help.Yesterday I contacted sonos support in The Netherlands via live chat. They sent me an email with ticket number, requesting a video with clearly audible high pitched sound. From the email, it was not clear how and where to submit the video and the email address it was sent from appears to be no longer in use. The high pitched sound from the Playbar is a known problem, but it looks like sonos is not interested in supporting older speakers. Very disappointing and unsustainable.

Sonos worked fine through my Macbook (10.15.7) a few days ago but now having issues. System work fine through iPhone. When app opens I get the below messages. It can’t find the system so I reset the app and try to join my system. The app says it sees the system but then when I press done I get the message about a product being unplugged.Wen looking into the system it only shows the one SL speaker rather than both (which is visible on the iOS app).I have removed the app and re-installed. I have rebooted both SL’s. I have checked the wi-fi network and they’re all on the only one I have.Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks (Diolch - Welsh)Daniel

Currently have all Dolby Vision and Atmos enabled components including TV.  Current Theater sound is a combination of Sonos Arc, Sonos Sub and two Play 1’s as rear channels.   Trying to figure out if there is any advantage to upgrading the Play 1’s to Sonos in the rear in terms of Dolby Atmos use or even sound quality?    (RE: Does the Sonos Arc improve processing Dolby Atmos with an upgrade to Sonos ones in the rear over the current Play 1‘s)?  If not is there any significant sound quality difference between the Play 1’s and Sonos one.  Lastly, is there any advantage to introducing mid-way speakers so the arc is in front, two ones half way back, and ones in the rear?

Hi, i’m using a Sonos Port supplying a pair of Devialet Phantom Reactors. My question is, since these speakers have a slightly longer processing time that can’t be avoided, is it possible, when in multiroom to have a facility on the app to introduce a delay slider on other sonos products so I can sync them, I have a stereo pair of moves and although they are very good, the delay makes it sound like i’m in a cave when using both port and moves.TIA

I have one Connect which I’d like to remove to upgrade to S2. I updated the app to Sonos S1 and downloaded the new app. If I launch the new app, it finds the system and it asks to launch Sonos S1, which I did. They system upgraded to version 11.2, but under Settings > System there is no button to remove the non S2-compatible product. What to do? Just wait?

I have a few shows from the BBC saved in my Sonos. The latest shows no longer can be found on my Sonos not when searching for them. It seems to only find shows from a month of so ago ..

When streaming from my iMac the music will stop with a message “unable to connect to //peterimac/music/

I am having Blu-ray audio issues.I am not using a receiver, so the ARC and Xbox are hooked directly into my LG B7A via HDMI (HDMI-ARC for the speaker).Everything on the Xbox is set up per the instructions on the Dolby app.On the TV, SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) is ON. If Digital Sound Out is set to AUTO I get menu audio but none for the movie. The only other option is PCM which gives me audio, but if I understand correctly that will not allow for Atmos. To compound my confusion, the issue doesn't seem consistent across disc format. I've tried multiple 4K Blu-ray and all worked on AUTO except for E.T. I've tried multiple standard Blu-ray and none worked except for The Haunting of Hill House. I've only tried one DVD so far, but it worked. Audio seems to work fine on all games and apps with the digital sound set to AUTO. I am lost on what else to try here.

I saw that this problem happened in the past (Nov) and has been resolved. However, I have tried to have SONOS play amazon music for 3 days now and could not get it to work. Music will play for a couple of seconds then stops with an error message-- “not coded correctly” or “cannot add to list”, or “amazon connection is lost”. I tried several things including re-authorize account and it did not work, May play a song or two then the same error mesg popped. In the meantime, play music on amazon app. seems working. checked and there is no service outage on amazon.  Submitted a diagnostic request #  3847523

Hi guys,  I'm currently running 2 x play 5s (2nd gen) and 1 sonos sub all at once, I have just purchased a sonos one to add treble to my tv set up but I can't link it all into 1 room, needs to be in a separate room, I use the plays 5x 2 and sub into the TV via an aux.  ANY help would be great.  Regards Saad

I have a Port connected to an Audiolab 6000A amp in a rack in my garage, connected to speakers in the house.   The amp always starts at a default volume level of 0db. At this level, the Port’s output is very low and I either have run the Sonos App at near full volume or go out to the garage and turn the amp up manually every-time it’s turned on.  I’ve set up the 12v trigger so I can turn it on via Sonos in the house and don’t think I should have to trudge out to the garage to manually turn the volume up every time… Am I missing a trick? What’s the difference between Variable and Pass-Though output on the Port? I thought Pass Through was more for AV set ups (mine is just for music) but would this work better? Would the Amp be compatible?

We have a Sonos Playbar (+2.1) . Our current setup is DVD & Roku into an HDMI splitter, HDMI to TV, audio via optical to the Playbar.  It works reasonably well in 5.1 - there is some moderate lag depending on which app the Roku is looking playing (Amazon sync is frequently bad, Disney+ sometimes, too).We recently bought a new TV and I see it has an optical out. That opens up the possibility of taking the audio from the TV into the Playbar, instead of audio from the splitter. So, I wanted to ask: does anyone have any opinions about which is the best way to go?[Obviously the best way to tell would be to try, but I’m not up for a round of re-cabling right now. So I thought I’d ask, first.]

We have had Sonos for a long time. Have a Sonos 1 speaker, a 2nd generation CONNECT and a new SONOS MOVE speaker. We just purchased a new turntable, audio-technica AT-LP120XBT-USB and want to add it to our system. We have had a CONNECT 2ND generation and I was told it is workable with the new S2 Sonos app. Trying to set it up but S2 app not finding my CONNECT, HELP!

My Sonos One speakers skip and jump to the next track, with music services such as Audible or Idagio.  I've changed wireless channels, rebooted router.  It still is happening.  Any suggestions?

Hello. have Beam beneath TV and then 2xSonosOne SL either side of the sofa.  Set up and usage has been fine to date but recently the right SL began to drop out, and the left has followed. Issue is they keep disconnecting.  The beam is working and is successfully controlled by the television remote. I have reset wifi and used truplay to retune once I have (finally) managed to get the SLs identified. my diagnosis info number is - 1378416165  Welcome any guidance and tips.

I have had a Sonos System working quite happily for years, comprising a number of play 1 speakers, a play 3 and a beam sound bar.recently the app has been very hit and miss about finding the devices and usually displays the message  unable to connect to sonos  I have tried plugging one in to Ethernet which did temporarily fix the issue but after a couple of days it was the same issue and even restarting the connected speaker didn’t restart the system. I’ve tried controlling it from multiple devices with the same issue.  Yet if I use the Spotify app all the devices are visible and can be used. I’m still using the s1 software but having seen so many people saying that their system has stopped working with Spotify on S2 that doesn’t seem a good move. Any ideas?
