Portable speakers

I have a pairs of Sonos Roam 2 speakers in stereo mode. One is 3-4 weeks old, the other a week old. Both were updated to the latest software while setting them up. When playing music, one of units cuts in and out. I have tried music from two different sources - it behaves the same. Both speakers have exhibited the problem. My guess is that this is a problem with the pairing software, but it is hard to tell. Any idea what is causing the problem? how do I troubleshoot this?

My Move speakers in my bedroom are set up as a stereo pair. If I grab one and take it to the bathroom while I shower, is it still in stereo? If I’m using it as a single speaker, I don’t want it in stereo. If it stays in stereo even while undocked, it’d be nice if there were a setting for that. 

Hello all, I bought a Roam 1 when they first came out which was replaced twice due to the well-known battery problems, the last time it was replaced I received a Roam 2 instead of the Roam 1, but did not get a replacement wireless charger. The Roam 2, when left on the Roam 1 wireless charger -- no matter what USB charger I use -- does not work the next day as it discharges overnight. Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Roam 2 and Roam 1 wireless charger? Does anyone find that the wireless charging works on the Roam 2?I’m still surprised that this product is so poor basically and am hoping that I’ve had three duff ones in a row.. Having a portable product that can’t manage its own battery in 2025 is a poor show.

I owned a Sonos Move for a couple of years. I frequently used it on travel and it was simple/reliable when trying to toggle to bluetooth mode, even for pairing to a new device. I recently upgraded to the Move 2 and have experienced significant issues when away from my home wifi.My Move 2 lives on it’s charging dock when at home. When I prep for travel, I take it off of the dock, power it off, and pack it. When I arrive at my destination, I turn it back on, press/release the bluetooth button… and within 1-2 minutes, the unit has not shown up in my scanned bluetooth devices and starts blinking a green light indicating a factory reset.After the second time it did this, I reconfigured the device after I arrived home, toggled to bluetooth mode and successfully paired to my bluetooth device. No factory reset, but also no removal from doc or power off/on.I understand that the Move2 requires wifi for initial setup, but is there also a restriction for when/how to pair vi

I have 4 Move speakers I would like to connect via blue tooth for a party away from my house & wifi

Hello. My Sonos ROAM no longer lights up and doesn't seem to work at all despite a reset. I only get the orange light when I put it on charge. I am no longer under warranty. Is this the death of the speaker?

For the past 2-3 weeks my Sonos roam and moves show no column bars and are unable to play anything. I’ve reset each speaker several times, updated the app and searched for solutions but the issue persists. This is particularly painful because my daughter likes to listen to audio books on her Sonos roam and is pretty upset when I have to reset and spend 20-30 minutes getting her roam to work every night. Please help. 

Is the Roam speaker a manufacturer defect?I have 2 and have given up trying to reboot them. And all the other trouble shooting advice. I have serious thoughts of not buying a Sonos again. 

I purchased the Sonos Move 2 years ago. This past Sept I ran into the issue where it wasn’t firing back up, despite my trying to reset it. So I purchased a replacement battery, and was able to get it to work. The unit’s been sitting on its charger, hasn’t been used for a couple of months….and once again I can’t get it to turn on. So many others listing the same issue. What a disappointment this is. I purchased 3 amps, 3 subwoofers, 4 soundbars, and this Move unit….other units seem to be working fine but this Move issue really leaving a bad taste. Any suggestions?

I have several Sonos products.Recently my Sonos Roam is not playing any sound.The battery is 100%. The volume is up.The unit is connected to my home network and showing music is being transmitted because I can see the music bars going up and down.Sonos support is non existent as they do it even answer my calls.Any help anyone???

Move, quit working, and is blinking an orange light. I tried to reboot by holding in the power button and nothing happens. Help

Here it is.  i have a defective unit (Roam) that I need to return for replacement. Spoke to CS service and received a return number and form to complete with credentials. Receiving a second email confirming return number and steps to follow to return the unit. Was supposed to get a separate email with the shipping labels that never came. Spoke to CS again (two more times) and they said labels were sent to email address (after confirming email). Of course junk/spam folders were checked and nothing there. Last CS rep I spoke to said they would escalate to return department that would send labels…..crickets…..crickets…..no labels,no follow up nothing.Very disappointing from a company I have been loyal to for many years.  How hard can it be to send a shipping label via email ???Apparently for SONOS it is really hard seeing all the different posts regarding this same issue within this community.  Just wanted to share another less than s

I just purchased a Sonos Five and Sonos Roam 2 to cover a room in my house. These are added to my collection/setup of other Sonos devices. The cool feature incorporated with the Roam 2 is the ability for it to act like as a Bluetooth bridge/port. This feature works great with the Sonos Five, which I created a group for together with the Roam 2 through the app. The only thing is, whenever you connect to the Roam via Bluetooth, you have to keep checking the five in the app each time you connect to allow the synced Bluetooth sound. Now I noticed that the group function works very nicely where I can hold the play button manually on the five and it automatically plays whatever my roam is playing via Bluetooth since they are in a already created group in my Sonos system. The same does not seem to be the case when music is playing via Bluetooth on the roam but holding the play button on the roam instead of the five does not automatically have my five activate in the group and sync the soun

I just want to announced that this 4year old problem has been solved and fixed! I’ve been doing a lot of readings and following all the instructions given but still don't have luck, until last Saturday, since im not using ittried opening and foundd out on the top part there is a ribbon like connected. From the top going to the drain system. Then VOILA!

I have (2) move 2’s and one of them keeps losing connection. I have tried rebooting, changing to stereo, changing devices, changing channel. I would blame it on a connection issue but only one of them keeps doing it. I have 4 other sobos speakers that work perfectly fine as wellAny suggestions would be greatI’ve done all of the obvious Thanks

Trying to connect a Roam 2 to my tplink vr1600v without any luck.  No settings changed on the router, just the standard WPA/WPA personal security in 802.11b/g/n mixed mode. Has anyone had any luck doing this?  

Hi all I want to buy two Sonos Roams to set up as a stereo pair using alexa voice command in white. what the best option being compatible and without doubling up on features unnecessarily please?

Hello all,I recently received a new in boxes Roam SL that I've struggled to get it working. I'm not sure which is the most critical issue that is contributing to being unusable.Here goes:First step plugged it in and starts to come to life with first seeing the batter light flashing then after about 15 seconds it goes out and the above the Sonos logo begins to flash.Was able to get it added to my network and system but then needs an update which fails and produces error 1002. Btw to get it added I had to manually enter the code on the bottom of the unit since it never made a sound.I tried multiple things like hot-spotting from a phone to a tablet with no luck.I tried plugging it into my PC via USB and got all the way to needing an update, which also failed but different error code 888 which is low battery.  I can see all of the info for the unit on my PC such as serial number firmware number and all related info aswell as being able to see it

I have two Move 2 speakers and the sound connection has been an issue from day one.When playing music from my phone via Bluetooth, the sound randomly cuts in and out for either or both speakers, sometimes there's no sound at all.For my projector, it got so bad with the sound not working at all most of the time, that I got a cable to connect to one of the speakers. This worked the first time, now not anymore.I have tried unpairing and re-pairing, made sure they are connected via 5Ghz WiFi, even reset the speakers multiple times.This is extremely frustrating, especially given the price of these speakers.

My Sonos Move One doesn’t want to charge anymore. I called the assistant centre, they will change the charge base. But today the sonos move tower shown only the micro white light. When I press the On button nothing happens. I don’t know what to do . Is someone had this kind of problem ? What can I do to make my Sonos work ? Thanks very much for your help.

It has taken a while for me to start using my Move 2.First it would not update (before first use). It kept saying there was a problem connecting to my Wifi. Even though the other 50 products in the house work properly. I had to go to someone else his house to use their Wifi which worked immediately.  When I got back home the Move 2 needed to be added to my account. Which then also failed at my home. After creating a new account (and multiple tries) it finally added the Move 2 to my second account.  Now the Move 2 is visible in the app and can be used, BUT it keeps saying “Not registered”. This way I can’t see the battery level or access the settings.  It did work for a brief moment (after using a method from another user = logging out in the app, resetting the app and logging in again). But after a few minutes it said “Not registered” again and the previous method does not help anymore.  I’m out of ideas because I have tried

Roam needs wifi connection before switching to bluetooth ? Why does it not connect by using mobile internet. Confused. I want to use in caravan but wifi not always available. Any assistance woll be appreciated. Thanks .

Howdy,I’m streaming audio from my iMac and Tidal to Move. Each time I pause the audio then click play, there’s no audio. If I wait for a few minutes sometimes the audio is reconnected.The only fix is to power off/on Move (the button on the back of the speaker) then the audio reconnects. I just checked, I have the Move has the latest updates.Is there a fix for this?Thanks,
