Sonos Roam battery completely draining when turned off

My nephew gave me a Sonos Roam for Christmas. When I turn it off and leave it for a day the battery completely drains and I can’t even turn it back on unless I plug it in. I haven’t downloaded the app yet. Reading through the forum people have been writing about this issue with various Sonos speakers for more than 5 years. What the actual hell? If they think this is a “feature” they are insane. It makes the speaker completely useless. I travel a lot and he got it for me as a speaker I could pack and travel with. Definitely can’t travel with this thing.

Install the controller App and make sure that the ROAM's firmware is up to date. Here are some battery run time tups.
