My Sonos roam will not connect to Bluetooth. We have tried my phone and my friends. The roam does have battery and I even plugged in too just to be sure. Why won’t it connect?
I have had a Roam SL for 17 months and it was great. My wife tells our friends I carried it throughout the house like a little kid does a blanket. Most of the time, I returned it to the charging base within a couple of hours, never more than 8 hours.Christmas day I was listening to Sonos radio waiting for guests to arrive. When they came, they asked to watch football so I stopped the Roam, but did not return it to the charging base. The next morning I went for my Roam but it was not on the charging base. I located it and returned it to the base. When I got home from work, there were no lights on the Roam after 9-10 hours on the charging base. I checked the Sonos app and the Roam was listed as “not connected”. The next day I tried using the USB-C port to recharge my Roam. The Orange battery light came on and after a while the white light by the Sonos logo started blinking, I was hopeful that it would come back to life, but the battery does not take the recharge. As soon as I unplug the
Hi there,My Sonos Move and its charging base have melted at the contact point between the unit and the charging base. As a result, I’m no longer able to charge and use my Move. Seems like a few occurences of this issue have recently been reported on the same contact point (the right one at the back of the unit)… I’ll be contacting their Support Team shortly but I still wanted to share this with the community for visibility.
Moderator edit:Google Translate- I'm trying to reset my Move 2 speaker: I turn the speaker off, turn it back on, press Bluetooth and the white light flashes but doesn't change to red... It keeps flashing white. Why doesn't it work? Did I miss a step?
Hoping to get some clarity from the community on how painful this is supposed to be…I am travelling with a couple of Sonos Roam between my home and various office locations. I’m one of few very oddball people that like STEREO, you see. And I understand that the roam is intended as a Bluetooth MONO system when roaming, but since I am a difficult customer I tend to hook them up using the Wi-Fi network to get STEREO. Like we have had since the 1930s. So far, this has required a factory reset of the speakers EVERY TIME to connect to a new Wi-Fi network. Today I contacted support and asked how to do this without factory reset, and was told that this was not possible, I needed to factory reset. Pain. The experience at every location so so far has been, step by step:Start Sonos app, it finds the system missing and select the change network option. Attempting to find the system fails with “Sonos not found”. Surprising, since it's already connected via bluetooth, but apparently it's incapa
New ROAM speaker fully charged on SONOS charging pad and the bottom light continues to blink orange slowly (stops when I remove from charging base). I don’t remember the Previous Roam speaker I had doing this…is this an “issue” or just an indication of being on the charging base?
Brand new Sonos move 2 won’t charge regardless any type of power input. I tried resetting it and the battery remains at 13%. Is this a common hardware or software defect of the move 2 or did I get a dud?
Sonos making a hissing noise when playing sounds
Can i play hi res music on Sonos move? Can i connect an ipad or iphone using the usb c connection?Moderator edit: edited for readability.
The battery of my Roam when not in used, drop dead after one day, is it normal
Hi!I have a recurring issue with our Sonos Roam.It is populated with lots of episodes of a children’s series. The idea is, that our daughter just can press play when she wants to listen to it.The Roam is connected to power all the time.Battery saver and WiFi Power save is on, but this does not make a difference. What happens is as follows:Every few days the Roam shows up as „not connected“ in the iPhone app. As such, I cannot control it from the app anymore.Pressing play just plays a click sound and the left LED flashes white twice. It does not start playing and does not wake up (i.e. still not connected in the app). When pressing the button on the back, it plays a two note chime, still nothing happens. The only thing that helps is holding the button on the back until the turning off chime plays - waiting a few seconds and then turn the Roam on again by pressing the button again shortly.I made a short video, that shows the behavior:Any idea or help is much appreciated!
Sonos Move will play when I ask my Echo Dot to play music on that speaker, however when I ask my Echo Dot to play music in the “downstairs” group the Move is in, all the other speakers will play, but the Move does not.
hello thanks for accepted me in the group. my question is problem when bring my sonos move to my sugar shack and wen i bring it back home if i ask alexa to play a game work great but if i command to play a radio station exemple play the no shoe radio sonos will respond and that is going to no shoe radio but nothing work. thanks
Why do I have to listen to “Sonos” advertisement when I start my Move. I have already paid for the product and object to having to listen to “Sonos Ad’s” when I turn on my Move. How do I disable this?
My sonos move is not connecting when im trying to broadcast music to it. Ive registered it multiple times in the sonos app and its not working.
I have recently purchased two Roams to replace two aging UE Megaboom speakers. The Roams are great while on my WiFi but I didn’t know that you cannot pair two roams to Bluetooth. My ten year old Megabooms would allow “daisy chain” pairing so you could play them in stereo on Bluetooth. I was shocked that this is not available on the Sonos. Please let me know if there is a work around.
My Sonos move was purchased new in the Summer of 2022. It has worked until about 2 weeks ago when the battery light (lower light behind the grill of the speaker) starting flashing orange. The Move is 99% docked on the charging station, so I thought the power may have been an issue. I tried a different outlet, but no change. I tried a direct line C cable, but no change. I read information that perhaps the battery may be dying (or dead) so I ordered a new one from Sonos. I installed the new battery (good documentation on the packaging, by the way. Simple install) but no change. I’ve tried the “hold power button down for 30 seconds while off the dock”, “hold the (infinity symbol) button down while the Move is off the charger then while holding it down install on charger” to “reboot”, but no luck. Whether I’m using the new battery or old battery, the Move is dead. I’m not getting any response no matter what buttons I push or for short or long periods of pressing. At this point, I
Hi there,I've traveled on holiday bringing my Sonos roam for music in my hotel room. When I left home the Sonos worked without fault. Now in Bali I have the green flashing light? All I want to do it connect via Bluetooth but can't do that either. How do I reconnect? I've tired the app and it asked for me to create any account? I have an account. Any idea?
I have a system which includes a pair of Sonos Ones and a Beam all working together in one room, and older Play3 in another room and finally a Roam and a Move in the final room. I work from home and I typically play the Roam and Move together as one to listen to during the day,I previously used Apple Music app and then selected the airplay option to connect to those two together. However they wouldnt always connect despite always showing in the list of speakers. Just says fails to connect. So I ended up switching to using the Sonos app, selecting another room (usually the play3 as only that and the Ones would appear via the app), going to apple music and starting a track. I then would press the room grouping option and wait for the move and roam to appear. Eventually they would, talking minutes. THen deselect the room i didnt want and off i go.Sometimes this would last all day, but if i a playlist ended I then go and select another via apple music (through the sonos app) it would say c
New Sonos Move 2 unboxed, managed to add to system no problem, however several settings toggles will not toggle in app. Key one being auto-true play, but also the power saving mode. Also seem to have an issue installing any voice services. Have not encountered this issue before on any products. Have tried factory reset of the Move 2 (Via the Off / On + bluetooth power cycle), and have checked the microphone switch is turned to on. App & system firmware updated to latest version, have tried both iPhone + iPad apps.
We have a samsung the frame TV in the kitchen and the speakers are really poor for the size of the room, we currently have a one under the TV we use for radio ETC. I sometimes use a Bluetooth speaker connected to the TV to get a better sound, and this got me thinking about a move. Does anyone know if you can connect a sub/other speakers to the move, when it is being used as the primary source of audio ie when being used as a bluetooth speaker ?
Unpacked new Roam today, Microphone and Mic Light not working.Saw that someone had reported the problem previously. Pressed power button for more than 12 secs and then waited more than 30 secs before powering back up.Microohone and light still not working.
Just received a brand new pair of roam speakers. Roam, SLs. As expected, there is an issue. The left speaker’s microphone switch does not work, so therefore true play does not work for the stereo pair either.I searched Help and didn’t find anything.I tried online chat, but I would fill out all my information, then it would dump me back out and ask me for my contact information, over and over.I actually have a lot of things to do so it just like some help on this, if possible. I’ve spent quite a bit of money on these speakers (these aren’t the only ones). Thanks
Despite being plugged in and sat on the charging base my roam speaker won’t charge. It’s now flat and unusable. I’ve also recently changed broadband providers so I can’t see it on my system either as I can’t add it to the wifi!where do I start please?!
Last month, we smelled smoke coming from the room where our Roam was located. We ran to it, to find a terrible chemical smell and saw smoke coming from the speaker. The charger was their branded product and was smoking. We immediately unplugged it, burning our fingers in the process. We reached out right away. Sonos said they were replacing the speaker 3 weeks ago, even though I am uncomfortable receiving the same product. They’ve now gone silent. We burned our fingers unplugging this. They offered nothing in terms of any form of apology or compensation. We are now up to Level 3 customer service, which has proven to be as subpar as the first two levels. I’ve googled and there are multiple people who have had this issue. I have a client who specializes in class action lawsuits. Has anyone else had this kind of issue and was harmed? I’m wondering if I should reach out to them for guidance. Sonos won’t allow video posting here but here’s a screenshot of the smoke and melting from their So
