Brand new Sonos move 2 won’t charge regardless any type of power input. I tried resetting it and the battery remains at 13%. Is this a common hardware or software defect of the move 2 or did I get a dud?

Don’t recall any such issue as yours being reported for a new Move. I suggest you return it. Others might suggest running a diagnostic and recording the reference ID in your next post. Afterwards call Sonos Tech support to discuss the findings. That’s your choice. Personally, I’d return it…pronto!!!
