Hi all!I’m only having the sonos beam connected to my TV (sony bravia X800h or XH80) and it’s showing an audio input of Dolby Digital 5.1, while the beam should only be 3.0. So, my question is, should it be on Dolby Digital 5.1 or on 2.0? And if it should be on 2.0, do you know how to change that?Greetings, Arvid!

Hi,Thanks for reviewing, got a strange issue with my setup, hope someone can help :) …Not too sure how long it’s been like this since I started playing with the setup today.System setup:S2 appPlaybar, wired connection, with pass though going to a TVSub, wireless connection2x Play 1’s, wireless connected acting as surrounds.room size, 3.5 Mtr x 7 Mtra basic 5.1 setup. I’m aware of at least 2x app updates (including the new second sub update) since my setup was fully working.I noted that the surrounds weren’t producing any sound, and that that they where identified as “?” within the app.so Steps tried.rebooted both the Play 1 speakers, no change. removed the surrounds from the room setup, unable to see as individual products, re scanning can’t find them. wired 1x speaker in and reset, noted update on the speaker, applied this, then repeated with the other, then setup a test pair, working, no problem. attempted setting up to Playbar and sub, it went through the stages of connecting, then

Purchased a new 65” Sony Bravia A9G Master Series…….and I am trying to integrate it with:Comast Xfinity X1 Cable Box + Remote Sonos Playbase with Digital Optical Sound CableFirst off, it is a maddening dumpster fire of an effort to understand how to get the Playbase and the Sony TV audio volume to work together either with the Sony remote or the Comcast remote.The main issue is how to please my demanding wife  who is roasting me daily (475 degrees until crispy) who wants a single remote to control both audio and cable box that is fully synchronized. I don’t how I did it, but I got the Sony remote to control everything on the Comcast cable box EXCEPT for the Sonos Playbase volume. Numerous attempts to pair the Sony remote for Sony TV volume control to the Sonos Playbase failed; however, was able to pair the Comcast remote to the Sonos Playbase. Just tonight - my arc only goes up to 15 volume.  I will turn it up it stays up for one second then drops down to 15. I have two other amps in different zones that work fine .  I disabled Alexa , everything is updated . I’ve only had this for three months so imreally nervous and upset . Please help!

I am waiting to pick up my arc next week. I just got the 5's today. I can't use them with my TV unless I use the 3.5mm jack. I wanted to will I be able to pipe the sound from my TV through them once I have my arc connected?

So over the the last 8 days I have had trouble connecting this system to my network. I have a Sonos ARC, Subwoofer and S1. The subwoofer will only connect to the ARC with an Ethernet cable and not over WiFi. I’ve tried restarting and resetting the subwoofer and the ARC a number of times. However I find that the Subwoofer will connect to the S1 over WiFi perfectly without issue but the ARC. I welcome any recommendations to get this working as I can’t have the subwoofer connected to Ethernet where it will be stored.

At night I switch to use Bluetooth headphones but the Q90T always switches audio back to HDMI/eARC 

I have  a beam, sub and (2) one sl.  (delivered yesterday) after many hrs finally got everything running.  Today decided to move the one’s to different location in same room.  Have rebooted everything several times, deleted and reinstalled app several times. Have the beam, sub and left one sl registered but cannot register the right one sl now get message “not registered”.  Click the wrench icon goes to “confirm your product”.  Clicked “link to my account” and says “account update complete”.  Click “done” and goes back to One SL  (right) not registered.  Have gone thru the cycle several time with same results.  I’m beginning to think buying this was not a good move.  

New to Sonos, just purchased SONOS SE. I connect to my Internet modem via a wired connection. Is there a simple way to reconnect if the modem loses power and reboots?I had to unplug/replug the Arc to get it to reconnect. I could not figure a way to reconnect using the app.

Hello, I have just bought Sonos Beam. In Mediamarkt says has Bluetooth but I can't connect with Android TV Box by Bluetooth.  Help!!! Thanks in advance 

I have been trying to connect my sub gen 3 to my existing media room which has 2 Sonos five speakers. It completes the set up but it never appears in my system and I cannot get it to connect. I have tried resetting it several time and reinstalling but nothing works. What else can I do? Thanks

Hi there, I have two Sonos 1 and a Sonos Beam and whenever I want to play music and link all three devices, it’s impossible to do so as the Beam is missing. I have chatted with Sonos about this issue two times and they helped me fix it for a bit however after a couple of hours the beam disappears from the system again. The beam is relatively close to the wifi and router but not close enough to add an ethernet cable permanently - which also goes against the purpose of having wifi speakers!This issue has been going on for months and I decided to let time pass by to see if they were coming out with an update to fix this issue but I haven’t noticed any improvement.If anyone has had this issue in the past and overcame it, I would love to hear your solution! Thank you so much in advance!  

Hey folks,so I got my Sonos Beam hooked up with 2 PlayOne's + 1 Sub. Unfortunately surround sound does not seem to be working. Here is what I've done so far:- Tried my AV-Receiver and a connection over both TosLink + HDMI ARC- Tried my PC's soundcard over TosLink (card is 5.1 enabled)- making sure the source is actually 5.1 (tested netflix / youtube / BlueRay videos)- Sonos S2 App alyways says: PCM Stereo 2.0 I don't get why? Any ideas? Cheers!

Hi, I just bought a beam. Unfortunately when I go to pair my surrounds they do not appear while searching. Unfortunately my arc hdmi was not detected either so have had to use optical output. Is this why I can’t pair my surrounds?

Hello, I have a Sonos Beam connected to a Samsung Series 8 through optical. Recently we have found that anytime we are streaming something on our Firestick 4K (ie Netflix, Disney+), the audio will stop intermittently for a second or two and then resume. This occurs every hour or two. I am not sure why this is occurring, as we have everything connected correctly that I am aware of and streaming with internet capability up to 1000 mbps (using Nest Mesh Wifi). Diagnostic Number is 457558198

Hi, I have the arc with a sub and two One SL’s as a surround set up. The rear left speaker has been really glitchy. It either drops sound or belts out bits at high volume intermittently. It performs well when it’s disconnected from the arc, either as a standalone or connected in stereo with the other satellite. Software is all up to date. Can anyone help?

I set up my Beam, Sub and two One SL’s and the app worked great, once I used my tv through HDMI ARC the app no longer connects?  The only way I have been able to fix it is but completely resetting everything, other options or corrections?

I have a Sonos Bridge with 3 existing Sonos products Play 5 (Gen 1), Play 3, and Play 1. It has been working fine for many many years.I have just purchased a new Sonos One SL and want to add it to the network. I have followed all the prompts including a reset and the closest I have reached to connecting it is that it shows the device is when it is connected via Ethernet cable and in the sonos app it asks to connect the Play 1 but holding the Play/Pause and Volume up button at the same time.  As the Sonos One SL does not have these buttons I have tried every combination of the buttons on the device with no result.Appreciate any thoughts anyone has.

I own a Sony Bravia KD -65XF9005I have just bought a Sonos Arc and a pair of Sonos One SL.I mainly watch movies on Netflix with the subscription that provides 4K and Atmos on Selected movies.When playing such movies, I do not get the Dolby Atmos information on the Sonos App.On supposively Atmos movies when looking at the Sonos Arc details it show Dolby Digital Plus and sometimes PCM 2.0Is there something that I have missed or is it a TV limitation, which mean I never be able to benefit from Atmos?BTW, by “safety” I have installed a high speed HDMI cable Thanks for your help.

I have just connected my new Beam to my Samsung TV which also has a Sky Q mini box (the multi room option) and an Amazon tv thingy (forgotten the name for it sorry)  how do I default to just using my Samsung TV sound and not the beam?  do I just turn the beam off ? And if so how ? 

I cant sync my sonos ones sl. They work independently on spotify and I saw you need to have 2 named speakers to sync. I set both mine up under same room but have since changed...how can I sync them to play at same time?

I am mounting a beam below a tv. I got the wall mount yesterday and am waiting for the beam to get delivered. trying to get a head start on the drilling. I am wondering how far above the base of the wall mount to drill the holes for the hdmi and power cords to line up correctly with the connections on the beam. I am also wondering how far apart the hdmi and power connections are on the beam and if i need to drill one hole or two for them to line up correctly.
