I have a playbase with 2 x play one (gen1) setup but i want to change the play one (gen1) speakers to play one (gen2) speakers. I want to know if the playbase and play one (gen2) are compatible with each other before i buy the speakers i also want to know if i can then set up the old play one (gen1) speakers to use in another room without connecting to a playbase

I’ve tried all the trouble shooting options, and nothing has worked so far. The issue only occurs while watching from LG TV - the Beam and Sub work fine, while the audio from the Move cuts in and out. If streaming music, there is no issue. Diagnostic #:  188428524

I’m looking at my options for using an ARC with a 55” LG OLED CX. It seems a lot of problems would be solved if I use a Sanus WSTV1-B2 with the WSSATM1 to hold the ARC. The proposed room design would have enough depth for the WSTV1 to sit on a long cupboard top. This would result in the TV screen being 24.5 cm from the wall behind and the ARC sitting in free space above the floor as the WSSATM1 holds the ARC in front of the TV. Does anyone have experience of this mounts? Does anyone have an opinion about whether this set up would work OK? My intention is to use a couple of old PLAY 1s as rears. Thanks. 

Above combination has been working successfully for several months until recently. Now experiencing significantly variable audio levels across tv channels from the same satellite feed. When beam removed/powered off and using tv speakers, audio volumes balanced ok. Attach beam and volumes very different. Reset beam and reattached with same results I.e. variable sound levels.Can anyone help please.

Hello, I’ve recently purchased an ARC and I’m curios what settings to use on my TV in regards to audio output format.  On my Samsung TV, I have the ARC connected to the HDMI ARC output. In the settings I have two areas I can adjust. 1 is called “HDMI Audio format”. Two options are PCM OR Bitstream 2 is called “Audio format”, three options are PCM, Dolby Digital and DTS Neo 2:5.. I have the ARC paired with a Gen 3 sub. ARC is wall mountedWhat are the best settings should I use?    

I think I have this correct but the plasterers are coming tomorrow to plaster the ceiling so I though I would check.Having an extension built where I will have a TV on the wall, ceiling speakers as the rears and an Arc as the front, this will be connected to a sky mini dish which I am having to locate elsewhere as we are having a really thin TV installed and no room behind it.So the Sky Q mini dish connects to the main Sky Q box wirelessly, the mini dish has a HDMI cable to the TV, the tv has an HDMI cable to the ARC, the ceiling speakers have cables to the Sonos Amp and the AMP and Subconnects to the ARC wirelessly.Please tell me I have got this right???

Maybe someone here can help.  I had my arc and sub on my "system" and working fine.  I then added Roam to the "system". My sub and Arc then we're no longer recognized on the system.  I was able to get the sub back after resetting it. but it is not paired with the Arc because I cannot get it back so it is not working.   I have reset the Arc and I get all the way to adding to my wifi and it doesn't recognize my wifi network and asks for the password. I put it in and it still won't work.  The sub, Roam, and two play 1's, are all on the same network with the same password but the Arc won't connect.  I restarted my router as well and still nothing.  Very frustrating. 

Hey all. Just received my ARC but just laying it flat without any cords plugged in it's extremely wobbly. The slightest touch makes in fall forward. Maybe not weighted properly? I'm afraid when I hook it up the smallest vibration will send it falling to the floor and yes, it's sitting properly flat side down. Any ideas asto why or is this normal? Doesn't seem like it would be.Thank you people! 

Hi All, I’ve just took delivery of my first beam and whilst set up was floor less through my iPad, getting it set up via my iPhone is a different story as it keeps stating my beam can not be found on the network despite both my iPad and iPhone being connected to the same home WiFi network. 

Anyone else have a ‘wobbly’ Ethernet port? Tried connecting Ethernet yesterday and noticed that the port is incredibly loose. The port on the playbar was very solid and firm. This one looks very shoddy. Is this normal for the Arc?  I’m not convinced that it is even working (need to do some more tests to confirm it is getting an IP address - initially disabling the wifi on the Arc rendered it unmanageable. So I suspect that ethernet is not getting any connection to the network at all).   

So I have 2 Beams, a 1 and a 3 at home. The system has been working perfectly for the last few months (apart from the sound cutting out when playing radio some times....) And now both of my beams have dropped off the network and cannot connect to them on the app any more.I have tried connecting them again, they are found but just fail to connect to my WiFi. There's nothing wrong with the WiFi, the 1 & 3 connect just fine. The access point has been rebooted. I have a virgin suberhub 3 and ubiqiti AP for the WiFi.I have factory reset one of the beams and still no joy.One of them has been plugged in via ethernet and was available on the network but needs to be unplugged to add it to the WiFi…I have removed the networks from the Sonos android app and set it up again for the 1 and 3.This seemed to start when I connected to someone else's Sonos network then came home and the beams had dropped off the network.I have also noticed since then that the sound keeps cutting out on the beams for

My Sony xh95 (x950h) and Beam are not connecting. I'm using the Beam's included hdmi cable into the tv's hdmi arc port. I've switched Bravia sync on, which I understand is Sony's term for CEC.The TV can see that something's in the port as it is shown as a connected input, but the Beam does not show up in the Bravia sync device list, no audio is outputted and the sonos app reports a CEC error. Spotify works fine on the Beam via the android app. Any help appreciated! Feel like I've tried everything. 

I recently did away with the unattractive HDMI cable. And added a wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver.Now we get a sporadic loud static noise though the Sonos ARC. We can get rid of the noise by turning off the HDMI Transmitted and turning it back on. We would like to find a permeant fix.

Just a heads up I recently installed Sonos Arc setup with 2x Fives as Surrounds and 2x Subs.  In addition, I installed 2x Sonos Ones for extended audio throughout my home (one in bedroom, one in kitchen).I was experiencing connection drop-out issues on my Sonos Ones whenever playing content from my TV (regardless of input source), and extending the audio beyond my living room surround.The Sonos Ones would drop connection and the audio was very sputtered.This issue would not happen if I played music natively through the Sonos App.  The Sonos Ones worked flawlessly if that was the case.I contacted Sonos Support and they determined the issue to be related to my WiFi extender.  Apparently it’s a known issue that WiFi extenders confuse additional speakers on the network as they attempt to join both the main network and the wifi extender network at the same time, creating connection/audio-drop out issues.I was informed by Sonos Support to change the SSID or WiFi name of my wifi extender. Rea

Hi - I’m trying to set up a universal GE remote to control the volume of my Sonos Arc.The listed 4-digit code for Sonos is 1796. When I use this code, volume down works, but volume up does not. I’ve also tried going to “Remote Control Setup” in settings. It says to press volume + on the remote; when I do this, I see the white light on the Sonos Arc indicating it was received, then the app says I can now use the remote. However, I then have the same problem: no response to volume up. I’ve also tried the remote control setup with a random tv code set up on the universal remote.I’m actually trying to get my Apple TV remote to work following the instructions here: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3403?language=en_USI can’t set up the Apple TV remote if the universal remote won’t work for it to learn from. Sonos setup did find the CEC signal, but Apple TV isn’t aware I have a sounder to control; it’s been quite a painful process. Thanks in advance for any help.

I recently installed a Sonos Arc and registered the device with Amazon. Skills are enabled in the Alexa App. Everytime I ask Alexa to play it says I mus enable the skills. Turned them on and off several times, still not working.

I read most of the posts on this topic but still a little unclear on the Sonos Components required. Currently have regular Paradigm in Ceiling Speakers ( for Rears), a Paradigm Powered Subwoofer. and a newer Sony TV. Mostly stream and use a media server to watch TV and movies. Also have an older Sonos Playbar. In order to use my existing components I assume all I need is to buy a Sonos amp, connect my TV (via HDMI), plug into the sub port and connect my rears all to the AMP. Would this be correct and would it work and will the Sonos be able to “tune” the room? Of course the Soundbar would be my Fronts and Center (for now) and can I assume nothing needed to plug into the soundbar other than power?. Any assistance appreciated. Thanks, John

I have just setup the Sonos Beam and am very disappointed with the output from the TV. Volume has to be set 5 times higher than normal but Alexa and Google are nice and loud. Does anyone have a solution for this? 

I've recently purchased a sonos arc, sub and 2 one sl's and set them up as a home theatre using the panasonic -TX-55HZ980B eARC. When I watch dolby atmos content via Netflix app on the TV, the TV is showing dolby vision and dolby atmos, but the sonos app is only showing pcm 5.1I've tried disconnecting the TV and arc bar, turning off the power and then reconnecting everything. Briefly I got dolby atmos through the arc and it showed in the sonos app.  Went to bed, turned off the TV as per normal and came down this morning and had no sound at all. Disconnected and re connected the hdmi cable and got sound. Still no atmos.  All the TV settings are correct. eArc is enabled, it's connected to the hdmi 2 eARC so why does it keep losing atmos? Very frustrated as I purposely purchased a TV that supports dolby atmos and eARC to work with the sonos arc yet it is very intermittent.   

I have a sonos one and a new SL (I have just added)Both are on the same wifi, both working fine and appear on the Sonos App (under different rooms on the app - though they are close by)When I try and add a stereo pair to either the One or SL it just comes up as ‘Two Compatible Sonos Speakers are required….’Can anyone help me please with how to fix this?Many thanks

Hi Sonos community, I sometimes get my Arc on green when switching from TV to Amazon Prime or once I’ve lowered the volume to zero Today, it’s not changing and it’s not muted.. I can’t hear my TV nor Amazon Prime - yet, Alexa and Apple Music display sounds Could you please help me and advise - Report 712585842 Thank you!Cheers

An option on the app to play a test tone to each speaker. Allow user to adjust vol of each speaker or at least better balance arc (left, right,centre,Atmos) Vs rears and sub.
