Hi, I have placed Sonos Arc above my gas powered fire place and below my TV. Is it safe at this spot?  And what are the operating conditions for ARC?  Appreciate your feedback! thanks  DN  

I have had my 2 Play:1s connected to a Playbar for several years with no issues. The system used a Bridge wired directly to my router. I recently removed the bridge and switched to the Sonos2 app (the Bridge is not compatible with the S2 app).Now I have no sound from the Play:1s. There is a Warning in the System Info under the Playbar listing which now states “Your wireless network will not support the use of a Sub or surrounds with your Playbar”. As stated, when using the Bridge and S1 app I did not have this problem.Can anyone please help?

Connected my sonos beam 2 and sub gen 3 to my tv. Sound plays via beam 2 but sub is not playing sound.  ive tried multiple things, resetting router, connecting play 5 to router with cable, turn all sonos products off and on, connect sub to a different sonos (play 5), it’s still not working. I have submitted diagnostic information 1095816000

I just received my new Sonos Home Theater (Arc, Sub, and 2 ones).  I have an LG 65 OLED C9 that sits on a TV stand, where the stand is in the old school TV niche and the TV spans the front of the niche so that it is flush with the wall.  The bottom of the TV is at 19” and the top of the TV is at 51”.  My seating position is 11' from the TV at about 40” high.  I have 18’ tall 2-story ceilings in this room.  Because of the upward firing speakers I can’t put the arc on the TV stand below the TV, but I could mount it on the front of the TV stand below the TV where it would clear the front of the TV.  If I did that and had the top of the arc 4.5” from the bottom of the TV, the bottom of the arc would only be 10” from the floor.  Alternatively, I could mount the arc above the TV.  If I mount it 5” above the TV, the bottom of the Arc would be at 56”.  Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. 

Hi folks - I’ve recently purchased a Sonos Arc + two Sonos 1 speakers, and set them up with a Vizio P659-G1, and a Roku Ultra 4800R.One thing I noticed was that the I couldn’t hear the surround speakers very well when watching any content on the Roku. I also noticed that if I played Spotify via the Sonos app I could hear the surround speakers really well, but if I play the Spotify app via the Roku, I’m only getting Stereo PCM sound through it… And whenI play Netflix, or Amazon Prime, I see “Dolby Digital Plus 5.1” on my Sonos app.I started reading some threads here about Roku devices, and encoding, and what not, and I figured it might be easier to just ask a question here.Should the Spotify app on my Roku only output Stereo PCM sound? Or is that a limitation because of Roku or my TV?

Hi, I have just recieved the beam gen 2, and after only a couple of days usage I am getting a really annoying buzz at certain sound levels from the right hand side of the unit. I have looked this issue up on the net, and someone else had what sounded to be a similar issue. They reported that if they applied pressure by pressing down on the right hand side of the beam then it didn’t happen. This appears to be the case for me as well. Is this a known common issue? Is there anything I can do about it, or is it a return job, which I really can’t be bothered doing lol.Many Thanks

Hello Just received the sonos arc. I am replacing a samsung curve ms6500 sound bar from 2016. My problem is the sonos sounds like utter garbage even compared to my ancient samsung.  Theres no bass, depth, or i dunno how to explain it. It sounds tinny or metallic, empty. Does anyone know whats going on and how this supposedly unreal sound bar that cost me over 900 sounds like garbage? The only thing im hoping is its my old samsung 55un8500 tv and crappy arc one connect box or something but im not hopeful. Im 2 seconds away from returning this thing but i want it to work. I did go buy another tv , 2021lg oled c series and its coming in Tuesday so Im going to wait and see how it performs on a new tv vs a 7 year old one.  Tv isnt because of sonos arc, more of an excuse. I wanted it lol. I dont have iphone and certainly not buying one as they are just as much money and lets be honest that shouldnt be a fix. Theres no true play android i assume? Thoughts or comments? 

Hi,About 2.5 months ago I bought a Sonos Arc to go along with a Sony A80J. Everything is great except one very specific situation. When watching on HBO MAX and the show is in Atmos the sound will cut out every few minutes. In my case, the sound will not come back unless I turn the television off or switch the audio source back and forth. However, once it is back it will cut out again a few minutes later. I can watch movies/shows in Atmos on HBO Max with the TV speakers without any issue. I don’t have any issues watching shows in Atmos on any other app (e.g., Netflix, Disney+) or in 5.1 on HBO MAX or otherwise. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? It is really frustrating because I want to take advantage of the Arc when a show is available in Atmos. Thanks for you help.

Hey guys  Super excited to get arc for Xmas. Setting it up and had issues with it not being recognised etc etc. Googling sorted this and managed to get it set up.  When working through the menus etc I came across this, I think we’ve been sold a return, what do you think? It cabs from a well known high street store.    

I currently have an arc, sub gen 3 and two 1 SL’s setup for home theater in my family room, Sonos 1 in adjacent kitchen, Beam gen 2 in  master bedroom, boost and Move in kids playroom and a Five in the garage. I will be setting up my pool house and outdoor sound this spring. I have already purchased sonos Amp, sonos sonance outdoor pair for under pool house eaves, a second gen 3 sub for inside the pool house, and a Sonos 1 for inside the pool house for the convenience of voice control for wife and guests. My question is this, Will I be able to group the sonance pair and amp with the Sonos 1 and sub as one “Room” OR will the amp, and sonance be one “room” and the Sonos 1 and sub be a seperate “room”? Reason I am asking is I have found google assistant voice control to be finicky when selecting “rooms” to cast to. S2 in app experience is straight forward and easy to use, but I am more concerned with voice control and “Hey Google”. Thanks for any input!

Hello everyone, I am interested in purchasing a Beam (Gen 2). My TV has ARC support through HDMI. I utilize my laptop as my entertainment center. I am currently using a low quality Bluetooth soundbar that provides sound for my laptop. I own a PlayStation 4 and of course, I cannot connect, so I am utilizing TV speakers for that sound. I would like to have my PlayStation 4, TV and Laptop utilize the Sonos Beam (Gen 2). My laptop does have HDMI, but does not have a SPDIF port, I have no problem investing in a USB type device that will provide me one. My issue is that I do not know how to make sure I will receive audio through my laptop onto the Sonos. I am ready to purchase the speaker, but I am at a loss for establishing the laptop connection, which is used by me daily. 

Hi,I’ve 2 Sonos One (one SL), one in my kitchen and the other one in my bedroom. I also have a Playbar in my living room. I have a WiFi repeaters in the middle of my appartement in order to have wifi all around the place. My problem is that the Sonos One in my kitchen is not working while used as is own. It only works when paired with another sonos device. How can I fix that ? Thanks for your time !

Hi, I am having trouble getting my surround and sub connected to my playbar. The setup consists of a playbar, two play ones, and sub. I can setup up all the devices individually and even connect the sub and two play ones in stereo together. But when I try to connect them to the playbar it goes through the whole process and eventually fails at the end. There is a question mark next to the playbar where sub should be. Diagnostic report: 376772923I have already reset and restarted everything. Went though a interference diagnosis. Connected the playbar directly to Ethernet. Etc. Any help most appreciated.  

I, up until very recently have had virtually no issues with the arc, sub Gen 3, and dual One SL's. My television is a Samsung MU6500 curved 4K 65" TV. For the past week or 2 it just suddenly stopped working and I have been very disappointed not being able to enjoy my theater system. I have done everything to restarting speakers, reconnecting HDMI's, factory resets and resetting up speaker assignments... the only thing is, the system keeps asking for "set your Samsung TV to "arc" mode" but there is no arc mode in the settings. Never had that prompt before... never had that issue before, it was working previously to this. How do we fix this issue?

I realize this has has been addressed in another post, but the solution there didn't help, so reposting.  First some background:1. Been using Sonos since 2008. What attracted me (despite their high price) was their robustness2. In 2021, while my fellow Sonos users were complaining about Sonos' new products not being backwards compatible to their older products, I replaced all my Sonos S1 products with new S2 products (again because Sonos products are reliable, robust and always just work) Now my issue:1.  Since my upgrade on 2021, my Arc/Sub and Port have been working flawlessly fir months. However in the last few weeks, my Arc/Sub intermittently disappear from the app.  My Port *never* disappears from the app. What is specific about the Arc that isn't applicable to the Port?2.  I've tried factory resets to the Arc, reinstalling the app and going through the entire setup process and everything works fine for like 30min or an hour. Hi everyone,I have a sonos beam and two sonos one SL which are part of the home teather in one group in the sonos app (Home Theatre: + SS + SD + beam).Also I have several amazon echo products purchased before sonos products.In Alexa I have a group called “Home Theatre” inherited from Sonos and if I ask Alexa to play a song on this group I hear the audio coming out of the sound beam and the two "Sonos One SL (SS, SD)".I would like to be able to have sonos all over the house by buying other "Sonos One SL" and removing the old amazon echo, in the bathroom for example I would put the Ikea Symfonisk.I wanted to know if buying another four "sonos one SL" and a symfonisk the Sonos system allows me to create a single group so that when I ask alexa to play a music the audio is reproduced from the Home Theater, from the 4 new Sonos One and from the new Symfonisk at the same time.Thanks everyone for the reply

Dear friends! Need advice to fix issue with Arc and Samsung Frame. Arc and TV connected via optical adapter. In TV Menu - Sonos like Home Theater system with IR control. When we turn volume up slowly by little increment, everything is ok. But when we try to turn volume up faster (by holding vol up button) Arc turns volume to max and do not respond on any controls during some seconds.Video - https://youtu.be/_zqX_NencgY

I have Sonos ARC, Amazon Fire Stick with 4K (using Tomorrow War as a test which is Atmos content), and LG 65UP8000 (2021 model with eARC). In LG audio settings, Sound Out = HDMI (ARC) Device, eARC Support is toggled on, Digital Sound Output = Pass Through (other options are Auto and PCM). In FireStick 4k Settings, i have Surround Sound set to Best Available (Plays best audio format based on your connected HDMI device and content being played. Support Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital, and PCM). When i play Tomorrow War, the S2 app shows the Audio Format is Stereo PCM, and i don't know why. I called Sonos support, and they basically said the issue is on the TV side. But, I enabled the audio settings to allow me to stream Atmos content. Does anyone know why I am not getting Atmos audio? or why im not even getting Dolby Digital but rather Stereo PCM?

I have a Sony XR A80J that I’m trying to connect with Sonos Arc. The HDMI cable is in place and connection is detected. But this cryptic message comes up, which I don’t understand - “Use your TV remote to turn on Audio System in Home” - what’s expected here? When I tap Test Connection, it says - “Audio System not connected”. Try again doesn’t help. 

All the home theatre master players contain two radios: 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The 5GHz radio is only used to connect its satellites (which is also why the HT master can’t connect to a 5GHz WiFi). Hi Guys - so I have 2 zones in our Sonos setupTwo play 1’s 1 Arc and 1 subI have Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio as services on the system, when I try playing any of these services on my Play 1 pair they play perfectly but when I try to play them on the Arc + sub combination they keep saying ‘Unable to play, connection is lost’. All the devices are on the same Unify / Ubiquiti network. Even when I try to airplay to the arc, it plays the song for a bit then stops as if it’s buffering. I have enabled Static IP for all the Sonos devices. Let me know what else I can do to fix this. Maybe my ARC is faulty?Thanks!

Hello,Here is my setup:Chromecast with Google TV [The Player] EPSON TW7100 [The Projector] Sonos Beam Gen 2 [The Sound System] Feintech VAX04101 [The HDMI eArc Pass Switch]I have no sound coming from the soundbar. When I switch off the eArc button on the HDMI switch, the sound comes from the projector. When I switch it on, no sound comes from the soundbar.Any idea?Thanks for your help,Thibaud

Hi I have a Sonos beam, 2 plays and a sub in my room and just recently one of the plays is out of sync with the beam. I have reset the whole system which seemed to do the trick but it’s gone out of sync again, any suggestions please? Thank you 

Hej,  Finally, after more than a year i finally pulled the trigger and ordered a Sonos Arc as a christmas present to myself. Now when i have it installed i’m wondering why i’ve waited so long, mind-blowing sound compared to the intern speakers of my LG CX tv.  now to the thing that makes me wonder. As like everyone (i guess) i’m starting to save upp to invest in 2 sonos ones and a SUB for my serounds. the thing i can’t find an answer to… is there a proper way for daily use to your seround system? In which i mean... we often watch the news, have a partner that watches girly shows, and small children that watched cartoons.  you leave it on during these occasions? feels some what meanlingless to have seround sound during these times? but in the same time it feels meaningless to go into your tv settings / sound and switch back to internal speakers? what do you sonos fans do? thanks :) and have a great holiday

I have a Sonos Arc and am using a Harmony elite remote to control it.  I would like to also use my Tivo remote to control the volume on the Arc.  I have read in several places the Sonos will only allow 1 remote.  Is that correct, and if not how do set it up?
