live sport sound cuts out for .1 of a second evey 3 seconds.

Maybe try powering off all at the wall socket -Ā TV/Playbar -Ā for about 3 minutesĀ to drain the circuitry (maybe check,Ā re-seat or even change the connecting opticalĀ cable too)Ā and see if that sorts the issue. I would wait till half-time/full-time to do it.š
