When listening to music on the speakers via Amazon HD Music using the S2 app on the desktop to cue a playlist, the tv level slider does not change the volume of the playbar. It moves but nothing happens. The music level slider does alter the volume of the surrounds. I am unclear about this as I thought the tv level slider should control the volume of the playbar. The music level slider does not alter the volume of the playbar.

When watching television, the tv level slider works to control the volume of the playbar and surrounds at the same time. Is this how it is meant to work?

The TV Level and Music Level sliders under the Surround Audio setting only affects the audio level from the surround speakers, not the Playbar. The TV Level slider affects surround audio levels when playing TV audio. The Music Level slider affects surround audio levels when streaming music. If you want to adjust the volume of the Playbar, use the volume slider on the Now Playing screen in the Sonos app or, if playing TV audio, use your TV remote.
