Wife and I were watching TV when suddenly an extremely loud electrical sounding zap emanated from the beam. Immediately afterwards the quality of the sound was different. The sound was much higher pitched and there seemed to be no base as if base response or a base speaker was lost.  The app control for base does not seem to adjust the sound now for tv voices while that of treble does still work. Has anyone encountered something like this ? 

Hi all,I recently bought a complete setup for my Home Theatre to replace my existing 5.1 setup:1 Arc, 1 Sub (Gen 3) and 2 One (Gen 2).However, in my previous setup I also used a Reckhorn amp with the bodyshaker/bassshaker connected.Now I thought ok, easy, just bought the Sonos Amp for another €600 and connect the additional Amp to it, but I found now that it seems it is not compatible with the Arc/Sub/One setup?Any ideas on how to solve this, how to connect/use the additional Amp to the new setup?

Hi,I have a playbar, sub. And Ls & Rs surround play 1s. On my current system set up.  I know you can’t add speakers to get 5.1 or 7.1 surround but is there a way of adding 2 more play 1s to extend or duplicate the sound of the surround speakers?  We have an odd L shape lounge and I wanted to enhance the audio for both areas.

I just purchased a RAY Soundbar. I have existing Play:1 paired on the same WIFI network. I'm looking to add surrounds to the RAY. When I try to break the stereo pair, only one speaker is shown as available to the RAY. How do I break the pair on the other speaker? Should I simply reset both speakers then connect?

I have checked other posts that refer to issues with Sonos and LG TVs.I have power cycled both TV and the Beam after updating settings. But inspite of all this, I always get stereo PCM.This is true with multiple apps - Netflix, Apple TV+. I have checked the internet connection which is wired so I dont think bandwidth is the issue here.The same Beam was working with an older model from Samsung (I dont know which model) without requiring any special attention. Is this problem just with me?What are the steps to get this resolved? This was a big bummer for me as I am now regretting getting an LG OLED C2 and should have just gone for Samsung.

I have a new 2022 Sonos Beam surround system (Sonos one LS + RS + Sub mini config ) and the small speakers  (one SL) randomly drop out for 10 seconds. Sometimes it works for a few hours perfectly and sometimes it just drops for 10sec. The Beam keeps working all the time. It is happening on Apple TV(Netflix) and Spotify. (Sonos app) The system is connected to a modern 2021 Router and the speakers are located near the wifi router. Max 4 meters, line of sight.  I have the problem for 2 weeks (since I have the Sonos system). Have updated the App + System to the latest firmware. (14.20.1)Diagnostic nr sonos app = 406553169 

Hello, Yesterday, I got a sonos sub gen3 I have added successfully with my sonos beam and two sonos ones gen 1,after that I realized that the sonos sub is working fine and is shown on the app but the sonos sub gen 3 light is always switched off instead of the rest items of the home theatre, how can I get any colour light on the sonos sub gen 3 added yesterday? Thanks.Regards

Hi,We have just purchased a home, which was left with 5 passive wired speakers (rears in ceiling, 3 on wall at the front). This is in a basement room, approximately 4x4 metres, where we have installed our TV.We are keen for Sonos sound in that room (other speakers are upstairs).Wondering about pros/cons of the following (open to other options as well!): 1) Utilise all existing wired speakers by purchasing a home theatre receiver/amp/AVR, and connecting to Sonos via a Port.  2) Buy a Beam (Arc expensive and probably overkill for us / this space) to replace the 3 x front speakers, and an Amp to power the rear in-ceiling speakers. I am leaning towards option # 2, but appreciate any opinions or anything I haven't considered. Many thanks in advance!

I have a sonos arc and a sonos amp. The amp feeds into a speaker switch selector. Can I adjust the volume downward on the arc while maintaining full volume on the amp? 

LG C2 with Arc, Tivo, Apple TV and Panasonic Streaming 4K Blu Ray Player with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ Ultra HD Premium Video Playback, Hi-Res Audio, Voice Assist - DP-UB820-K . I would really appreciate some help with setting this up and doing sit correctly the first time. I am pretty much of a novice and would like a diagram of the recommended setup. Thank you.

I have a gofanco PRO-Coaxext that previously connected my Apple TV from the media cabinet, over coax, to the TV location. There is a receiver and a transmitter. It worked great for Apple TV but when using the hdmi over coax for my Sonos amo I am receiving a “hdmi arc not detected” message. Is it possible for me to transmit the signal from tv to amp over coax? 

Hi all, I got a quite strange scenario, my Sonos app on the phone is showing Dolby Digital 5.1 but I get no sound from rear speakers, playing media through Apple TV. Everything is installed correctly with true play calibration. If I force the tv to play stereo PCM, then I can hear sound coming from rear speakers (but it is not true surround as you all know).Anyone got any ideas on what could be the issue here?Appreciate your input. /MM

Hi, I have the following setup:Smart TV Samgung Model: QN65Q70TAGCZBSonos ARC + 2 One SLWith the App Tidal on the TV or from the Tidal service in the Sonos App, the sound is not played in Atmos quality, it comes out in dolby 2.0.The TV supports Atmos, since the rest of the Apps (like Netflix, PrimeVideo, etc) the Atmos sound works perfect and is verified in the Sonos App.I have tried everything and I can't figure it out.Any idea?Thank you very much.Regards!

New Beam gen2 with Sony TV. If I use eARC settings, sound passed shows as LPCM (5.1 multichannel), but the volume is way too low, and there is no surround sound. If I set TV to just ARC, then I get Dolby Digital Plus. Sound volume is louder and actually get surround sound. Am about ready to return beam and get a different soundbar. 

Is there abest setting for volume limit,tremble,bass,surround audio,tv level,mini sub,height audio,tv snyc,audio level any help would be appreciated

I have just moved and have a full surround system (Playbar, Sonos One SL, Subs) from my old home that I will set up in my new home theatre room. I have upgraded to an Arc soundbar to replace the Playbar. Do I need to factory reset the Sonos One SLs and Sub as part of setting up the system in the new location with the Arc? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi, looking to build a simple home theatre setup for movies and music. Not necessarily wanting to buy a separate sub. Is it possible and a good enough solution to use just a single Five speaker, horizontally, as rear surround speaker to supplement the Arc soundbar? I’m hoping Arc+Five would get low enough for my purposes as opposed to Arc with Ones. Dual Fives might be too costly for me. Thank You

My setup:Playbar Gen 1, Sub Gen 1, 2 Sonos One speakers in my Great Room as Home TheaterNew Amp powering 2 sets of old Analog SpeakersIssue:  When I go from All Speakers playing music and I turn on my TV the Amp keeps playing the music.  I beleive it should turn off when the TV Home Theater is invoked.

I have an existing system comprising of a Playbase, Sub and 2 x Play 5’s (as rears) as a home theater setup. I have just recently bought 2 x Sonos 1’s to add to the system to get a better 5.1 setup (intending to use the Playbase purely as a center speaker and the new Sonos 1’s as front surrounds), however I cannot add the new Sonos 1’s to the existing system.  The app adds the new Sonos 1’s as a new system and does not give me the option to add them to the existing system (only option is to add a second sub). It appears that the Playbase cannot be used purely as a center speaker and I’m guessing that this is because Sonos treats the Playbase as both a center speaker and as front surrounds. Simply put, is it possible to build a Sonos home theater system which comprises of a Playbase (as center speaker), 2 x Sonos 1’s (as front surrounds), a sub, and 2 x Sonos Play 5’s (as rear surrounds)?I would really appreciate your feedback and input. HiI’m sure this has been asked before but I have trawled through and cannot find a definitive answer.I’m about to buy Arc, Sub 3, 2 x SL’s in a large room 8mx8m and it’s our main room so when we want to listen to music, I want the home cinema to enable the best possible outcome. The two SL’s will be all the way across the other side of the room which firstly I hope will work well as surrounds for the cinema.When we want to listen to music, I’d like some recommendations on how best to do this please.My personal view is that I’d like the two SL’s to form a stereo pair and the Sub 3 to provide the bass. However, after reading other posts I’m concerned that this isn’t ideal. Can I ‘group’ for specific uses that I can swap between easily when I tell Sonos what I’m doing i.E. use the voice services to form the groups automatically as needed.I’ve read that this is possible however when Pairing and Un-pairing you lose the Home Cinema Trueplay settings? Is this true.Any recommendation please wo

Just got my Sonos beam and it works great with the tv but when I stream a movie, the sounds is breaking up. Any ideas what the issue might be? Thank youAwr1015

I am contemplating upgrading my Sonos PlayBar, however unsure which Sonos product to upgrade to. My setup includes: x2 Sonos Play 1’s (1st generation) and x1 Sonos Sub (1st generation) in Living Room, that make’s up Home Theatre.  FYI, I also Sonos PlayBar hooked up to Samsung 85” QLED TV.  Thanks for sharing advice!!

I have an older Sonos system (two Sonos One, and one SonosPlay 5). I would like to add a speaker in the room with the SonosPlay 5 because of the size of the room.  I was wondering if I could add a Sonos TV sound bar and use the sound bar to play music along with the other components (same time)?  I also would like to be able to watch TV, and have the sound only come through the TV sound bar. Is this possible?
