With limited funds which is the best combination of speakers to pair with my SONOS Beam 2:

   Two ERA 100’s

   One ERA 300

   One SUB Mini

Thank you,

Tom

Well, it depends on what you like. The two Era 100s can be set up as surround speakers. The mini sub can be added as well. I’d be concerned about an Era 300, unless your plan is to group the two speakers together for music, rather than TV playback.

Hi

The correct terminology is “Bonding” speakers to the Beam 2; which always requires two like speakers used as surrounds (i.e. Era 300 x 2 or Era 100 x 2).

Paring is when you combine two like speakers to create a Stereo Pair (i.e. Era 300 x 2 or Era 100 x 2). Two Beam 2’s cannot be Paired to create a stereo pair.

If you want Dolby Atmos

  • Beam 2 + Era 300 x 2 as surrounds (Sub Mini optional)

If you want Dolby Digital 5.0

  • Beam 2 + Era 100 x 2  as surrounds (Sub Mini optional)

If you want Stereo for music _Beam 2 is only used for TV (Sub mini optional)

  • Era 300 x 2 (Sub mini optional)
  • Era 100 x 2 (Sub mini optional)

If you want a speaker just for music _Beam 2 is only used for TV (Sub mini optional)

  • Era 300 x _Dolby Atmos or less
  • Era 100 x 1_perceived Stereo to about 6-8 feet (takes a keen ear)

NOTE: Sub Mini cannot be used simultaneously with multiple setups
