How to spot the Fake Sonos Sub 2 or 3 ? Please help me.I trying to buy the pre owned Sonos Sub Gen 2 for my Arc set up but slightly confused.

I've seen LG are selling a product called WOWCAST which allows you to plug into your TV, out of sight, and replaces the HDMI connection to your soundbar wirelessly. Giving you a clean, clutter-free style, with no unsightly cables between TV and soundbar.Is WOWCAST compatible with Sonos Arc (which i own)If not compatible is there any other product that allows this wireless connection to a SONOS Arc ?  

I thought it was my tv that caused the error and bought a new one. But the problem is also using that tv. So the error is caused by the Sonos Beam. The Beam is now unusable.

Hey, I have a strange issue with my sound on Arc when I’m watching/using specific apps on my TV.If I’m watching Youtube on my TV I keep losing sound every cca 30min for a couple of seconds and after that its back on. I can't guess what is causing it, because this happens just in a couple of apps and with others everything works flawlessly.There also no issues when I’m listening/streaming music directly to Sonos without TV.I was testing Youtube app like so that I switched back to TV speakers and after that there were no issues with the sound.Even don’t know if I can submit diagnostics if this happens every cca 30min? Problematic apps:Youtube T2 (local tv programs) Voyo (local streaming service)No problems with apps:Netflix HBO Amazon Prime Disney+TV model: Philips 75PUS8506

I recently added an era 300 to my house, I have the Arc in my TV room. I wanted to pair these two to create a surround, arc in the front with tv and the Era300 behind me, but the app wont let me pair them as “surround”!.Do I have to own two (2) Era 300 to make this work?

 I recently purchased a Sonos Arc, Gen3 Sub and 2 ERA 300 speakers. My wife and I watch a lot of movies and listen to music and when playing music the sound from these speakers is fantastic!  When listening to movies the sound is slightly underwhelming but I suspect this is due to incorrect settings.  I have the Arc connected to my Samsung TV  using the ARC HDMI cable into the ARC HDMI port. My Sky box is connected by HDMI to the TV and we watch films through this box using the onboard apps, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The speakers have been tuned with Trueplay and all work yet when watching movies, the Sonos app always shows Tv playing Stereo PCM. I’ve found various Atmos films but it always stays as Stereo PCM. I have tried various settings under the sound option on my TV.Under DTV Audio, I’ve left this as ‘Auto’ because changing any of these settings doesn’t seem to make much differenc

Hi,I currently have a Sonos Arc, Sub (to the right of the Arc), and two Play 1’s providing my surrounds. I am considering getting an Amp and Sonance in ceiling speakers. Would this set up work with the Play 1s or would the Sonance replace the play 1’s as the surrounds? Also, where would you all advise I place the Sub? Is having it next to the Arc fine, or should it really be towards the back of the room nearer the listening position?

As i pointed out in my Dolby ATMOS TrueHD test file analysis. There is this weird behaviour, where ERAs center channel is not playing anything at all. Only speakers that are involved are upfiring ans side speakers.This is also true for ATMOS music played via Apple Music or even Stereo music via Apple Music or Spotify. Center channel is just “dead”.Is this intentional or a bug?

Hi, RonW. from New Orleans. I’m considering a Sonos Arc and this is my dilemma: my tv is a 10 year old Sony Bravia XBR-65HX950 with HDMI, HDMI ARC and Optical cable. Also the tv does not support HDMI eARC or Dolby Atmos. I’m sure I’ll be upgrading a tv in the future. Will the Arc provide me satisfactory audio with the older tv.Thanks in advance, RonW.

Hi all,I just upgraded my ones to the 300s to pair with my arc and sub gen 3. I would like to first say that I am so far pleased with the results when compared to my other setup with beam and ones in a different room. The room I have this setup in is a relatively smaller/regular sized bedroom with the arc about 10 to 12 feet in front and the 300s about 2 to 3 ft on either sides on bedstands slightly diagonally behind. The sub is adjacent to the TV on the TVs left side facing towards me. My objective is to enjoy more dolby atmos content than stereo music content. I have also done trueplay tuning.I would like to know what other users with the arc/300s/sub gen 3 set up have done to fully optimize their dolby atmos experience. This could include tinkering with the EQ settings, height/sub volume, bass, etc, as well as positioning. I understand that rooms differ per person, I haven't measured mine yet. I would appreciate any advice! Thanks.

Hi,I’ve changed my TV  to wall hanging and thus the playbar also to wall hanging - hence I’ve had to change the previous optical / toslink cable to a new one with 90-degree plugs. In principle I only need this on the backside of my TV, but the cable has 90-degree plugs at both ends.Oddly my Playbar keeps saying it does not receive sound signal from the TV via the new cable - however I can see there is a red light in the cable so a signal should be there.I’ve tried resetting the Playbar and installing it again, but it’s still the same.I’ve tried the connection again with the old cable (with straight plugs) which works.Anyone good ideas?…..other then to use the excuse to upgrade to an Arc.Rgs and thanksMartin

Hello Community:i am using a Philips Ambilight TV 55OLED805/12 with an Arc via HDMI and 2 Solo One SL for Surround. All on a strong WiFi.I am experiencing an echo if I put my advanced audio setting on the TV to Multichannel or Multichannel (Bypass). Turning the surround off via the app does noch resolve the issue and the echo is very notable on the Arc, especially with people talking. If I turn advanced audio setting on the TV to Stereo the echo disappears. Any guidance how I can use Multichannel without experiencing an echo?Appreciate all answers and advice upfront. Can I add 1 era 300 to my current setup of the arc and sub gen 3. Plan on getting another era 300 when budget permits.

I can't figure out which cable(s) I need to connect my Beam to my Bush LED TV.

My Beam Gen 2 / Sub Gen 3 / Sonos One Gen 2 setup has been pretty much rock solid since it was set up. However over the last week I’ve started to see problems with my Right Surround speaker disconnecting several times a day. I can only get it to reconnect by restarting the speaker.All devices on my network have fixed IP address, and I’ve kept a close eye on my router to ensure nothing else is sneakily connecting to the same IP as my speaker. I haven’t added any new devices to my network for months.I also powered off every network device and restarted my router an hour ago, and the surround has already dropped off again.  My Beam is hard-wired to the router, with the surrounds and sub connected via SonosNet. Here’s my network matrix when everything is connected:

Hi, Ran into this issue twice, the only way to solve this, is to disconnect and reconnect the surrounds. Tested using the 7.1.4 testtone file is this a bug?

Hi, Just upgraded my Sonos Beam gen 1 to a Sonos ARC (have Sub gen 3, and 2 One SL) but I cant help feeling that some sounds are not quite as they should be. For exampel when watching Top Gun Maverick I feel the sounds of the F-18’s flying around are too low sometimes nearly missing compared to the Beam. The same goes for Star Wars were I have the feeling that when lasers shoot they are very quiet compared to the music and all the other sounds. Feels like these sounds should stand out more. Dont know if I have not setup the system correctly or if this is just how it is.

We recently purchased the arc and sub which worked and sounded great together.My fiancé then purchased 2 moves and paired those to the arc + sub but app wouldn’t allow the same room so we added them to “family room 2” and ever since then we cannot get all to work together with the Sub, the sub will just mute itself and will need to be removed and readded.  When we ungroup the moves, the sub seems to work fine with the arc. Just wondering if the moves are not meant to be paired in this way? I realize you cannot pair just the moves to the sub but we do have the arc so in theory they should all work together, no?

I just moved my tv/Sonos surround sound system to a new room.  How can I get Sonos to re-calibrate the sound?

I have new LG TV with eARC port connected via HDMI to a Beam 2 and 2 Era 300’s and a Sub Gen 3 for my surround system.  Apple TV 4K connected to the TV via HDMI.  According to the S2 app, I’m getting a Stereo PCM signal even when streaming a movie offered in Dolby Atmos. I can play Dolby Atmos music to the system (sounds awesome!!)Any suggestions?

Hi,I've been using a Sonos Playbar and a few Play 1 speakers for many years now for a 5.0 type configuration. For playing music we mostly use a handy iOS device and this works very well. Occasionally the nearby Windows 10 PC hooked-up to the Bravia TV is also used to play music on the local NAS, using the Sonos windows application.After a recent upgrade of the motherboard and a higher gen Intel CPU, I've noticed some strange occurrences with the NVIDIA HD audio drivers freshly installed on the “new” upgraded desktop PC. Some problems encountered : (1) Audio cutting out when booting the PC, (2) some crackling/popping sounds when playing YouTube videos, (3) booting the PC and finding my audio settings in the sound panel reset to default stereo, 16-bit 44.1KHz (this happens 70% of the time), and generally a problematic audio output coming from the NVIDIA graphics card that’s going to the Bravia TV via HDMI (and to the Sonos Playbar via optical).Not ever suspecting

I have a Samsung Frame TV 2022, AppleTV 4k and a Sonos Beam Gen 2 connected via the supplied cable in the eARC port on the tv.  Things have generally been working well for the last 5-6 months, but today, I get no sound from it when watching TV--instead I get a machine gun-like ticking noise. (It doesn't go full volume like other posters have said). It should be noted that the Beam plays audio perfectly fine from the app. I’ve unplugged everything and reconnected it (i get the Sonos Chime on setup), to no avail. Support was not helpful.  The system diagnosis did not reveal anything. Any one have this experience? Possible Fixes?

Please be gentle, Tech challenged here.I have a smart TV, but an older model. It has 1 HDMI port. I have a SONOS Beam connected to the arc port. Roku is running on the HDMI port. I have a blue ray player with HDMI cable. How do I connect it to the tv so sound can play through the Beam without having to unplug cables?
