impossible to connect the sonos beam to my philips 807 tv.it recognizes the hdmi well but not the easy link which is activated on the televisionhow to do ?

Hi All, I've updated my Sonos app to latest firmware and updated by ARC and beam gen 2. I can get atmos to play via sonos app but when using Apple Music app atmos does not appear. I only ever use the Apple Music app to stream music to my speakers, bit disappointing this doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello,My Arc will be delivered tomorrow. I have a question about connectivity in conjunction with the 4k Firestick. In order for the 4k feature to work the Amazon Firestick must be connected to an Arc/eArc HDMI port. I’ve confirmed this is the case, no 4k on any of the other 4 HDMI ports on my TV (Vizio M75-C1) using the 4k Firestick. My TV has only 1 arc/earc HDMI port.  The SONOS Arc also requires the arc/eArc HDMI port for full functionality. What do I lose if I use the optical-out option? Are there any other connection options.  

Bass is distorted at medium volume. Bass on EQ is set at mid point.Have tried with the beam in different physical locations with different inputs. Have connected another Beam I have to the same service/location and it is not distorted.

Hiim trying to play back Dolby atmos music from Apple Music on my iPhone to my Arc. From Apple Music I play an Atmos song, AirPlay it to the Arc.However when I go into the Sonos app on my phone it just says “AirPlay” where for a movie etc it would show “Atmos”.  Im almost certain I had it saying “Atmos” on Saturday evening from the same set up, but I’d had a bottle of wine so can’t be sure!how do I stream Atmos music to the arc please? thanks 

I currently have 2 - 5’s and a sub that I use for listening to music in one room and a separate TV room for watching movies. I plan on combining all into one room as I don’t listen to music and watch movies at the same time. I would like to incorporate the 2 - 5’s, Sub, and possibly a Ray/Beam/Arc with a new TV. When watching movies all systems would be used, when listening to music the Ray/Beam/Arc would be off (the only reason being, I like certain music LOUD and not sure if a soundbar should be in the mix?? Also not sure what soundbar would pair best with the existing 5’s?Or, should I look for a tv with better sound and use it as the soundbar with the 5’s and Sub? My current TV doesn’t have Bluetooth, but I’m assuming I can connect the 5’s and Sub through that if I forego the soundbar for the tv sound?Also I run everything through a Roku Ultra with most music coming through either Spotify on the Roku or a folder off a local NAS drive. Video comes from apps on the Roku...Netflix, Pri

I have not a concrete issue, but just a feeling that something didnt go well during inital setup of my first Sonos product. So im happy if someone can just confirm the info below:Hi, I just got the Beam (gen2) for my Samsung The Frame (2021), and Im using eARC. I don’t know if I have set the Beam up correctly or not (the manuals online are a little unspecific imo). So I just want to know if everything is correct: 1: When doing the Universal remote setup, the TV didnt recognize the Beam, so I had to type it in. The “power-test” did not work, but the manual online said to just hit yes. So I did. I guess thats correct, because its “always on”?2: The Beam is working; its receiving sound and I can control the volume with my remote. BUT the text to the left on the TV screen does not say Sonos or Beam, but “Receiver HDMI-eARC”, and there is no number to indicate what level the volume is at. Hi,My television in the kitchen is connected to my Sonos amp via HDMI ARC. I have 4 ceiling speakers connected to the amp. We used to be able to control the volume of the TV coming out of the ceiling speakers using the TV remote (TCL 6 Series), as well as with the Sonos app on our phones.  But now, we can only control the volume using the Sonos iphone app. Adjusting the volume through the TV remote only affects the volume on the TV and it doesn’t effect the volume coming out of the 4 ceiling speakers anymore (I.E., the TV remote volume is disconnected from the Sonos Amp).  Does anybody know what could be wrong or have suggestions for help?Thanks,John 

I've heard some YouTube reviewer state that you can use just 1 rear Era 300 Centrally for rear surround effects (Atmos) with Beam Gen 2 or Arc. Is this correct 

I have a Beam gen2 paired with a sub gen3. Can I add just one era 300 to this system? Or do I have to buy two?

I’m looking to connect a Lenco LS-300 Black Turntable to my Sonos soundbar, I only have an optical on the soundbar and a L&R on the turntable. Before the trial n error starts to cost me money, can one of you experts out there point me in the right direction please?

Curious if anyone else has seen or heard of similar: For the last several updates I have been unable to successfully install the update to my surround Play:1 speakers or Sub wirelessly.  I am uncertain which update this issue started, but probably before the S2 19.14 version as the first couple times it happened I didn’t realize this would be my new reality.  All my other S2 compatible speakers update without any issues.My surround system consists of an ARC, two Play:1 speakers, and a Gen1 Sub.  Prior to the last two updates, I was only able to update the surrounds & sub by connecting them to my network via ethernet cable.  On wireless update, the update process would return either Error 30 or Error 1013 for these three speakers.What I discovered over the last two updates, 14.19, and 14.20.1, if I remove the Sub and two surround Play:1 speakers from being part of the surround sound setup with the ARC, and instead have them as stand alone or unassigned speakers, then they will updat

I have a Samsung TV that sends an IR signal for volume control out to the room. It has worked flawlessly for years, including 3 years in it's current house and set up. About 2 months ago, it stopped working unless I stand up in front of the TV to reflect the IR back to the IR sensor. While sitting, or off to the side, it no longer works. Sonos said that set up was not supported, they only support an IR remote, and that it might work for years and then stop, which it did.Anyone else have a similar setup, have a similar issue and find a solution for it?

Hello,I am currently using the Arc with the original Sub and 2 Ones as rears. I ordered 2 Era 300s to replace the Ones. Will I lose any functionality by using the original Sub with the Arc and the 2 Era 300s?Thanks 

My TV setup is the Arc, a Sub and a couple of Ones for the back channels. Every now and then I wander into my kitchen which is just far enough away that the sound does not carry well. I’d like to add another One to the system that effectively replicates the TV sound (center channel, specifically, as that’s where the dialogue seems to be most of the time). I can create a Group for this, but every time I turn the TV off and back on, the group breaks. Is there a way to create a permanent group for the TV sound? The Arc is the key component here I think, connected to the TV by eHDMI.

I have an Amp connected to in-ceiling speakers and a Beam. Everything is currently configured as a home theatre with the Amp wired speakers acting as surrounds. This is all in our living room in the main area of the house. Is there a way to have two setups on that system? One for use as a home theatre, and another for music (that would use the ceiling speakers more fully)?

I have a theater room set up with a sonos arc, a sonos sub and four (4) sonos ones,  I use all four (4) sonos ones as surrounds speakers however there are times when I am watching sporting events when I would like to use my four (4) sonos ones as main speakers in my theater room. I have been researching on how to do this for weeks but with no success. Is there any way in which I can set up my sonos ones to have this flexibility?  Thanks,Stephen

I’m just asking if any tech experts or indeed any nontech LG owners can help.I have an LG 2019 tv. Also an apple 4ktv and Sky Q box. I had a Beam gen 1 and now a Beam gen 2.On receiving my Beam2 I decided to add my play 1s as surrounds. This was when the lipsync issue started, with video arriving before the audio. So audio delay settings on Sky, TV and Sonos app were ineffective. I then decided to use only LG native apps, not sky nor Apple TV. Still issue was present. By a process of elimination I found that there was no issue with the LG speakers - apart from the fact that they sounded hideous😳. The audio delay was coming from the TV - HDMI -  Beam route.I tried all the usual things, rebooting, resetting, swapping cables, etc.I then tried to research this through all online resources/forums etc  I could find. I came to 1 conclusion and 1 answer to this: 1, the conclusion, this is not that uncommon, particularly with LG, and not just Sonos. I have a Samsung UE37D6530 TV and have just connected a Beam 2 via HDMI ARC.However, I can only get Stereo PCM 2.0The TV sound options are greyed out (other than PCM)Anytime+ (HDMI CEC) is on.Is there a way I can get something better than stereo PCM?Am I missing something, or is it just that the TV is a bit too old? 

There was a power cut where I live a few days ago and after that the Arc sounds much worse. It's quieter and in busy scenes the sound feels very compressed, very lifeless.I've unplugged and redone Trueplay but no improvement. Any ideas? Are the speakers damaged? Will a reset help?

Hello fellow Sonos enthusiasts,I’ve recently bought the Sonos Sub Mini and I’m heavily impressed by the sheer bass from such a small unit at that pricelevel. I have a par sonos one SL speaker currently used in other rooms of my apartment, but im thinking of adding them to my TV to get a surround 5.1 system to further elevate the experience. However my budget is currently low and behind my sofa there’s a windowsill i can use to place the speakers on (see image).  So what are you guys thoughts on having them facing the wall and making the sound bounce i feel like it would be kind of worthless but I have zero to none knowledge about speaker placements so i kindly ask for you input., Total setup:Sonos Beam Gen 2Sonos Sub MiniSonos One Sonos One SL Kind regards,

Hello, I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2, 2 Sonos One, Sub Mini and I don't have enough space to put the Sonos ones as rears because my room is too small so I have them on either side of the beam gen 2. My question regarding this is how does it affect the sound? Does the Beam use the extra outputs to enhance the sound coming-out for better stereo? Does it just simply out but the same audio that already coming out of the beam? I ask this because I'm thinking of buying the era 100 but i would like to know how this paring works first. 

I have my bar connected to the tv through an optical cable.  This works.  I can hear the tv through the Ray.  When I turn on Sonus I can’t hear anything.  What do I need to change my settings to?Thank you
