Can I connect my Sonos one to my LG tv to act as an additional speaker 

I will keep this brief.  I have just set up my playbase with 2 play 1’s as surround.  The current setup is via my Samsung TV and Sky Q box I have two issues.   My 4K Pannasonic player has no sound at all.  It is set up with an HDMI VIdeo/Audio to the TV.   It used to be set up when I had my old receiver via separate audio and video hdmi.  I have “told” the 4k player that sound should be a single HDMI but to no avail.  There  is no audio.  Equally I have “told” the TV to expect both sound/video but its just not working but I can’t see where the instruction has gone wrong. 2nd Issue is minor but annoying.  All the apps apart from one on the SKy Q box are sending sound to the playbase  eg Prime/Netflix.  However Youtube isn’t.  No sound from the youtube app at all.   I can access youtube via an app on the TV and there is sound.  Cannot work out why the app on Sky would be different/

I have Samsung TU7000 and I recently purchased Sonos beam gen 2. While testing the sound bar I found the sound level is different across different streaming platforms which is annoying. I tested first with all in built apps from Samsung tv and after tested with fire tv stick apps, I found the same issue. I checked my tv audio settings and Samsung TV doesn’t allow me to set fix volume across different apps.  Any help to fix this would really be appreciated.

Is there some form of baseline for the height setting of the Arc and Era 300 speakers? What I mean is for example a +1 for each 30/40 cm of ceiling height? So for a ceiling of 270 cm the best setting would be around 7 or 8.  And yes I am aware I could just experiment what sounds best to me but I am just wondering if there is a best practice.

Hi All Hoping for some advice with diagnosing a problem. Noticed in my sonos app that one of my Subs was no longer connected to my setup. Had a look physically and no lights. Unplugged and plugged back in and no luck. Tried to reset, nothing. Restarted router, nothing. Used the cable from my other working sub and that wasn't the issue either. The only response I could get was leaving it unplugged for half an hour and then plugging it back in. I would get one white light, then another and then it would turn off and be unresponsive again. Does anyone know what this light message means or what the problem could be? Cheers  :)

At this moment not every song in Spatial Audio (Dolby Atmos) is an improvement over the original to say the least, it would be great if we could toggle it on/off from the now playing screen (or at least with fever clicks) rather than having to go deep into the menu each time. 

I have Fire TV stick, Sony Bravia TV, Sonos 1 gen Beam and 2 one sl speakers.  Speakers fine with music but when play TV no sound in one sl speakers. Do not see pairing option on TV settings. Any suggestions appreciated.

I have a Samsung Q7F tv connected by ARC to a Sonos Beam 2 and Mini-Sub.  The combination is capable of great sound and crystal clear dialogue but annoyingly the TV often defaults to PCM which is not so clear.  Then it requires going to the tv settings>sound>expert settings to select bitstream out and Dolby or Dolby +.   We use the tv between UK free to air SD, HD and Netflix, Prime, Disney, iPlayer.  Does anyone know if the Samsung Q7F can be set to default to automatically select the best sound?

I have a Beam connected to my TV through the ARC hdmi channel. It’s worked perfectly for around a year. Now suddenly the sound has started dropping and disconnecting from ARC randomly for about 1 to 4 seconds. I have done all the resets etc found in this forum and elsewhere. I have even talked direct with Sonos and gone through their recommendations like changing the Chanel number etc, but still the same. Now something new has happened. When listening to streaming music today, it cut out the same for approximately 3 seconds before reconnecting. I know this is the same problem as the TV as when I look at the display on top the white light is flashing before going solid white again. This has at least told me that the TV is NOT the problem, but the sound bar in some way is. I’ve tried different power connections but no difference. My wi if in the room is excellent and I never get any drop out or disconnect from it. Bit of a long shot but anyone else with this particular problem. I’m think

Hi, did a we chat this morning as I had a bit of time to finally sort out this Beam not outputting audio from my TV. The Beam suddenly outputting sound from my tv around 2 months ago. I tried to reconnect via the app but it wouldn’t work. It did however work through the app when I plugged the Ethernet into it direct but still wouldn’t play the tv sound. The tv was not old but we decided to move it to the bedroom and have a new one downstairs.Set up the new tv and still no sound from the Beam or connection. Decided to give up.  This morning we did a reset on both the app and the Beam. Outcome - the beam is now connected back to the app and plays sound from the radio etc. But it still won’t connect to the TV. The end error always says ARC not detected. Now, iv tried this on 3 separate TV’ (all Samsung), made sure ARC settings are enabled and selected the receiver as the sound output. I have also tried multiple HDMI cables. One of which gets one step further than the other as I actually g

What speaker stands will be compatible with the new Era 100 speakers?. 

I have had my play bar connected to my TV for many years and I did not think I had the audio cord connecting from my tv to soundbar. I remodeled my house and had my guys reinstall. However, now I’m not able to use my play bar and it doesn’t connect to my Sonos. Do I have to use the audio cord to connect my TV?

Due to power & ethernet access, I want to place the Arc on the shelf above the TV. That shelf height is about 8feet. The back sofa is about 12feet from the TV. The room is 20feet x 20feet. Will Arc be good in this configuration?  Will probably add Sub+2xEra later. Thanks!  ps/I am replacing 20-year-old Bose Lifestyle 50 :). 

I just bought a new ARC to replace my PLAYBAR. My LG tv has an AC port but not an EAC port. Will ATMOS work when plugged to the AC port, or do I need to buy a new TV to enjoy ATMOS. All my viewing is done through my new Apple TV.  Many thanks for help/advice.

I have a Sonos Arc along with the gen 3 sub and 2 x Era 300’s setup in a group for home theatre.On my Tidal app when I stream an Atmos track to the sonos group it drops down to High instead of staying on Atmos.Tidal app is running on a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. 

I have my Gen 2 Beam connected to my Samsung model UN55CU7000FXZA via HDMI-eARC mode & I am wondering if some of the TV’s audio settings need to be disabled or adjusted for optimal performance?A also have an Apple TV, as well as Netflix, Amazon, Philo & a couple other streaming services & at times have issues where you can barely hear voices clearly, but have a door open, someone set a glass down on a table or other background noises & it sounds like the volume is cranked up waaaaay too loud.Any suggestions?Thanks!

I have a Sony A80k. When I power up the tv and sat box it never comes up on HDMI 1, where the Arc is. I have a pic where it does come up. How do I get the tv to come up on sat box with Arc? 

I have a Sonos Arc, Era 300’s and Sub mini.I have them connected in a surround setup with my Sony X90J TV and they work beautifully…but I’d like to also connect them to my PC.Is it possible to have them connect to PC with ease and be able to swap between the 2? I had hoped I could just change my “input” on my TV remote from cable/Netflix etc. over to my HDMI 2.1 channel for PC and it would just automatically play? But it sounds like from what I’ve read that I have to use special equipment (e.g. connected to my motherboard, or cables, or Bluetooth?) I’ve read different things and am very confused.  Can someone please walk me through how to connect to PC and swap between TV and PC in the easiest way possible? Morning all I have a ps5 connected to arcana to Samsung tvive tried everything (I think)  cannot get atmos while playing games or while streaming Amazon or Netflix etc. any suggestions?of note when I connect fire stick to arcana I can get atmos through amazon only on jack ryan 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️help please many thanksjon 

I have the 2nd gen beam and 2 era 300s on either side right next to my tv (not behind, but in the built-ins right next to the tv in the front of the room). The beam is plugged in to the tv and the eras connect to the beam through Bluetooth. When I play music I can set the eras to play full sound. How do I do this when the tv is playing?? Since they are in the front of the room, I do not want them playing “background” noise like they do when they’re set up as surrounds. I want them playing full sound. 

Why does the sound keep going off when Beam connected to TV

Hi all, I had a beam gen 1 that i was trying to use on the TV that came with my apartment. I had it with surrounds and i was trying to get it to play 5.1 audio to no avail. When i looked online it said to check on the tvs settings what audio format it would come out as but there is no option for this. For reference it’s a techwood tv i searched the model number online and there was no info about it at all. The beam was connected via hdmi arc. I sold the beam gen 1 as in the end i had to use a different tv with it to work in surround sound but now i need that other tv back and i was wanting to try and get a gen 2 beam or arc. I was wondering is there any point in me buying a gen 2 if i can’t get surround sound to work on the tv or if anyone know how to get it to work. Edit: I have an apple tv connected to the tv as well and i was wondering if there was a way that i can connect it just to that with an adapter of some sort? i just want to be able to get surround sound via the techwood tv.

Add a multi channel to the system. Let me join 2 amps to make a 7.1 System.    Most people I sell your product to don’t understand surroundsound, and they want to hear the rears they want to hear dialogue   The option of a multi channel would be awesome. I would be able to sell a lot more amps.  

Hello Everyone, Even though i would have loved it I cannot install an Arc or Beam on my wall at the moment.So i am looking to get a Sonos Amp connected to my Samsung One Box. would it work so i get TV sound from the Sonos Speaker Latency ? If I get an 800€ “adapter” :) I’d like to get something that works right Thanks for your input
