Sonos, I have a lot of Sonos products and just added a Sonos Arc, two Era 100’s and the mini sub. I am very effecient at setting up Sonos and have never had problems until the purchase of the above named products. I have spent over 20 hours trying to get my system up and running. This includes approximately 6 hours of my own time and 3 different (2 chats and 1 phone call) with Sonos to try and get it fixed. This has been a huge PIA! I have a Playbar in the Family room, got it connected and now I’ve tried for the last frickin’ hour to get the Era 100’s connected to the Family Room and it sets up another room! Family Room 2!!! So, I reset both of them and it sets up a Family Room 3!!!I feel like doing what people have done with their Tesla’s and set them on fire! I finally get the Arc working (with a chat) but no TV sound. We determine it’s a setting with Sony - boom, he’s gone. Well Sonos, I see a lot of people have Sony TVs and have had problems so

I am unable to sync the new Direct tv stream Gemini AIr remote to my Sonos Beam to control volume when playing music. I spent an hour on the phone with Sonos tech support and the guy told me this new remote is not  compatible [which makes no sense]. He tried everything to help but could not get it to work.My Samsung remote works fine but I don’t actually use it.Can anyone help?? 

New to Sonos.  We are redoing our kitchen/living room and I’m adding 4 in-ceiling speakers with the amp.  My question is if I want the speakers to work with the tv, what’s the best way to do it?  Can I run an hdmi cord from the amp to the tv or do I need a soundbar to accomplish this?  Thanks for the help!

Beam Gen 2 has to be restarted every time we want sound from our brand new Samsung TV. Will not appear in list of sound sources on TV. Connection is via HDMI eARC. If we power off Beam and restart it does appear. Why? Why? Why?

sonos engineering. i have been installing your stuff for 8 yearsi started installing sonos arcs when they first releasedi mainly connect them to samsung as they WERE the most behaved. the last 6 months. i am more and morerunning in to this scenario:sonos arc connected to a samsung Q90C and onesource( like directv or a hdmi switch connected to several sources. arc sets up fine when its the only source plugged inas soon as the other media source (s) is connected sonos arc drops - no sound.tv goes to tv speakersa year a ago i didn’t see this issue at all.  now i am running into it more often. reading the thread. apprentlyit happening to many. i understand the issue has to do with CEC. but why now?  as i didnt see this before.maybe the cec specs for on the tvs have changed?wonder if anyone in engineering is following and asking if there is any serious effort underway to resolve.having to ad

I have a new  TCL 65MQLED80 2023  and Sonos Arc. I was able to connect the Arc to the TV using the HDMI arc port. However, I am not able to pair the remote. It is a IR remote. I have tried to add it using the Sonos app, but I get the message that no signal from remote control is found. How can I pair the remote control?  

How many speakers can a Sonos Arc setup support? I currently own the Sonos Premium Immersive Set with Arc. This comes with the Arc, two era 100s, and the subwoofer. However, I plan on upgrading the rear era 100 satellites to era 300s eventually. I also may want to add another subwoofer.How many speakers does the Sonos system support? Do I have to "replace" the era 100 satellites? Will they work along side the Era 300s, a Sonos Arc, and 2 sub woofers?

Sound cutting out for a split second.  ARC w/amp, sub and surrounds.   New 80 inch Samsung.  Unplugging the Arc and plugging back in fixed it for about a week and then it’s back.  Don’t want to keep doing that. Any updates form Sonos? Or fixes?   

Hello Sonos Community!I am having an issue where my Amp (and through it, my DALI wired speakers and 2 One SL satellite speakers) only seems to be connecting to and playing with my AppleTV, but is not showing up in the Sonos app. My separate Era 100s work fine and show in the Sonos app. My setup: Sonos Amp with wired (non-Sonos) speakers 2 x One SL satellite (which were and are connected via wifi to the amp, working fine) Apple TV → Samsung TV → ARC to Sonos AmpI set up and had these all working fine via/in the Sonos app. What I’m lately experiencing: I can still see my amp in the Airplay options, but it fails to connect. (I can connect to my Era 100s with no issue at all.) I do not see the Amp or the One SL satellites in the Sonos app, although I used to. I have a Sonos ARC connected to a Sony Bravia and use a satellite box. Randomly when I switch on the TV there is no sound. I have to disconnect and reconnect the ARC to get the sound. Any suggestions to eliminate this would be appreciated.

I’m currently using Arc sound bar with a Sub (gen 3). I’m pleased with the system so far but there are certain movies (ie. The Batman) where the dialogue clarity just seems lower than I prefer. I toggle around with Treble, Speech Enhancement, turn off “Loudness” which helps a little bit. I understand some movies are just created a specific way. Anyways, the next step would be to add Era 100s or 300s. I am wondering if that will enhance the Arc soundbars drivers to focus on dialogue? Appreciate any information on this. 

I have seen problems similar to mine discussed here but I am unable to see if they were resolved. I have a Samsung NEO QN90A tv that is a little over two years old. I recently purchased a Sonos ARC and connected it to the tv with an HDMI 2.1 cable. If I enable eARC the sound is garbled. If I turn eARC off the sound is OK with the exception of sporadic short drop outs. These seem random and occur on a scale of tens of minutes. Annoying! I now have the tv connected using the optical adapter that came with the soundbar and it works OK with the exception of not supporting ATMOS. Is there anything I can do to get HDMI to work?

Hi guys,   I just bought the Sonos Arc and the new Sub Gen 3 and I paired them with 2 Sonos One (Gen 1) speakers for the surround setup. Yesterday I noticed that while idling and playing, there are some tiny constant crackling/static/electric current sounds coming from the brand new Sub and I found it quite irritating. So what I did first was to make sure that the connection with the power cord is secure, which it was. Then I tried to remove the Sub from the group, factory reset it and added it back to the system. But the same issue persists. I don’t suppose this is normal, right? Does anyone has a similar issue with the new Sub? I’ve checked my Sonos Arc, One and Beam and none of them has this issue. Since I just bought it from Best Buy last week, should I return it and get a new one to see if it’s something wrong with the one I’ve got?  It’s not a cheap device and I don’t want to compromise on its quality.   T

Before Christmas I bought a new sonos system,arc , gen 3 sub, 2 era 100 de sub is still not connected inspite of paid expert installation….what a terrible product and waste of money…..the help line is absolutely useless 

Can't raise or lower the volume on the Sonos arc with the TCL remote control. What could be wrong?

Set up Sonos Ray using Sonos app for iPhone. During a friend party we used it as standalone player (without connecting to TV). we were using Spotify via Sonos app but - when we have  reached 100% of max volume -  sound was intense but very low for the power of this soundbar (I can make the same volume with a portable small speaker like Bose) is this normal ??

Hi,Yesterday I got my two Era 100’s as a addition to my Sonos ARC. I use the 100’s as rears but ever since the Sonos app says it’s only playing Dolby Digital 5.1 and not Dolby Atmos (of course only DA content).Before, without the 100’s and only the ARC, it did play movies and music in Dolby Atmos. Does my ARC still produces Dolby Atmos sound?Thank you!

I have a playbar and 2 1 sl and get intermittent ound loss do to wifi issues. Looking to switch to sononet but how will the android app work if the speakers are  noton my default wifi network

Hello,We recently purchased a Hisense U8K and currently have it connected to our Beam 2.  Unfortunately, when streaming Netflix content, it only streams as Stereo PCM. Edit: broadcast OTA tv is also only stereo pcm.  We have audio output set to passthrough on the TV. Playback settings on my Netflix account are set to high. The Netflix content has the 5.1 audio option selected.  The Beam is plugged into the earc port, not sure what else to try at this point.  Does anyone have any advice on what I’m doing wrong here?  Update: after some more googling, a Reddit user mentioned that playing YouTube content will cause a glitch with the audio getting stuck at stereo PCM. A restart solved the issue until you use YouTube again. 

Seems like this topic has been covered in various forms but still haven’t found a solution. Have a Sonos Beam 2 connected to the Samsung Frame box via HDMI3 (eArc). When watching any content on the TV the audio drops every few seconds.The strange thing is if I set HDMI eArc from “Auto” to “Off” in the Samsung settings the problem resolves. But then the next time I turn the TV back on it’s not connected to the Beam so this doesn’t really solve my issue.Anyone figure this out definitively?

I’m a little addicted to these speakers , and over the years have accumulated 10 of them. In one big room. Plus a sound bar by the TV  I’m told I should set them up as surround but that function is not working. Then I read that I should not do stereo pairs.  So they are grouped together in one room, and one is stereo paired.  I only did one because it said with that many speakers , do not pair them all as stereo. They sound awesome but I confess I’m not sure the best way to arrange these.  I know many of you guys are smarter about this and I am. So what do you suggest?  Thank you!

Hi everyone - hope someone mjght be able to help. I have a new Sonos Arc and am trying to get it to stream 5.1 content. The Arc’s working with a SUB and 2 x ONEs as surround speakers.  The Arc is connected using the ARC socket (HDMI 4) on my Sony TV - it’s not the newest so doesn’t have eARC.  I’ve tried content from Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video from a variety of sources, and yet ony one (Netflix on the Google TV app) will stream in 5.1. Can anyone help please?  So far, I’ve only been able to determine that the Sky Q box (UK set top box) is not able to output Dolby Atmos - though not sure about 5.1Many thanks. =====Netflix - MiB3Google TV app: 5.1 ✔️ Sky Q app: PCMApple TV: PCM Disney - Ashoka Google TV app: PCMSky Q app: PCMApple TV: PCM  Prime - Candy Cane LaneGoogle TV app:  PCMSky Q app:

So, ive seen a few comments about green flashing lights when surround speakers are turned off. Surely this could he fixed in a software update? Sometimes u don't want them on and just want to use the sound bar for regular tv, or is this me being weird? What could be the point of them, I mean I know that they are off as I have just pressed the button that says surrounds off!! Unless sonos have shares in black tape which as far as i can see is the only way to stop them! 🤔

Hey Sonos Staff, many of your customers have Playbars on walls that are wallpapered or made of brick, stone, etc.  when you make a product that you cant upgrade to due to not being able to cover old drilled holes to accommodate YOUR product, you leave us no choice other than to keep our existing Playbars.  I have tried every which way to make this work but cant sit there with visible holes in the wall. You should provide a way to upgrade and accommodate existing templates.
