Hi Folks,

I have the Arc, Sub Gen 3 and two Era 300s as surrounds.  I had the 300s mounted on stands and on the sides of my couch and everything sounded great especially the Amos effect when watching movies like Ford vs Ferarri.

I decided to mount the Era 300s to the wall to have them behind the couch.  The weird thing I’ve noticed is the height effects are not nearly as good as they were when the 300s were on the stands.

Has anyone else experienced this?  Granted I get that its all about the room, but curious if anyone has any insight here.

Thanks!

No insights here as I’ve not wall-mounted my surround speakers, but have you re-Trueplay tuned the room since moving the speakers and have you tried manually adjusting the height-audio channels via the Sonos App ‘Settings/System/tHT Room Name]/Height Audio’ to see if that resolves the matter?

Hi

In addition to @Ken_Griffiths advice did you follow the mounting instructions in the link especially if the speakers are within two feet of the ceiling.

Thank you both for the suggestions.  I have done Tru play and am using the Sanus wall mounts.  I’ll continue playing around with it
