Current setup: Playbar, 2 ones and sub. I'm thinking about upgrading to arc and 300s to get at Dolby Atmos sound.Is it possible to wall mount the 300s or just put it on a table behind the couch (I'll remove the airhockey)?I'll probably keep the setup if If I can't get 300 positioned properly.Thanks  

Suddenly my Playbar connected via optical will not play TV audio. It’s not the optical cable. I’ve had this happen before and I was able to fix it but I can’t remember what I did. I have a LG tv. Any thoughts much appreciated. 

Hi, will this system work to not have a sound delay when playing tv through all speakers. Or does anyone have a better solution. I need recessed speakers to suit the room layout. Purpose is for ceiling speakers and playbar to play both music and movie without delay. The second pair of speakers will be on a volume control and usedfor music playing only.  

Hi everyone. I tried to do some digging before posting, but unfortunately everyone’s room dimensions are different so it was hard to gather what is good for me or not. Question:I have a 2 story family room (approx. 20ft high flat ceiling) with a ceiling fan in the middle of the ceiling. The rest of the room is appropriate 14ft long x 12ft wide (couch would be placed approx 12-13ft from the Arc). I have a fireplace mantle that I would ideally place the Sonos arc ultra, at approx. a 4ft height, and it would be pretty dead center in the room on the back wall. Because of the high ceiling height, is the Arc largely going to lose a lot of its effectiveness with the upward firing speakers? Should I keep my play base or go with a beam and skip on the upward firing speakers? Or is it still by far worth it to go with the Arc Ultra?Additionally with the above, Era 100 or Era 300 rear speakers? I assume if I lose the effectiveness of the upward firing speakers of the Arc, that I should default to

 This is roughly the living room set-up we are working with, there’s no wall behind us, and we don’t want to do speaker stands. Does it make sense to ceiling-mount 2 ERA 300s where the red is? I want feedback from people with a similar set-up, curious on how the surround sound wokrs when paired with an Arc Ultra and a Sub.

In my front room I have the following hardware that I would like to setup for TV listening.  I know that it won’t be a true surround 7.1 system, but I have a separate home theatre room for that.  I figure this setup should be far superior to the current little TV speakers, so…The hardware that I have is:Bookshelf speakers for fronts powered by a Sonos Amp (one of the current black ones).  This amp is labeled “TV Fronts” (clever huh?).8” in-ceiling speakers powered by a second Sonos Amp. This one is labeled as “TV Rears”The TV is a few years old Samsung UN75NU6900F that does have an ARC HDMI port (#2).For a TV source, I use an Amazon Fire Cube for Hulu, Max, Netflix, Prime etc.I have attached an HDMI ARC cable from the TV’s ARC port#2 to the Sonos Amp “TV Fronts” HDMI port.The Amazon Fire Cube HDMI out is connected to the TV’s HDMI port#1.I have already downgraded both Sonos Amps to work with the S1 App (I have a lot of other Sonos Amps and Connects that won’t work with the S2 app (“Tha

I have had my Sonos Arc for over 3 years and had no problems. The Arc mute light randomly decided to switch on and is now stuck on the mute light, and has been for the past two weeks. I have tried everything to fix it. I have disconnected all the power, inlcuding my tv and left it for two days, plugged everything back in, and the mute light comes straight back on. I have tried doing a factory reset on the device by holding the back button while plugging in the plug/cable, but again the mute lights comes straight back on. I have played with settings on my LG C1 tv, I have tried turning earc on and off, have turned simplink (hdmi-cec) on and off, but the mute lights stays on, i have tried resetting network settings on my tv, have tried pressing the mute button on my tv remote, i have tried pressing the buttons on my sonos arc but no button is responsive, i am just stuck with the mute light on the arc remaining on. My wall mounted 75” TV protrudes 4-1/4” from the wall. I am planning on wall mounting my Sonos Arc Ultra underneath using Sonos wall mount bracket which is essentially flush to the wall.  Will the upfiring speakers be affected (will I have enough clearance) ?

Gday all from Australia I recently purchased an Arc Ultra (placed under the TV - just not pictured) which has been great. Looking at adding either sub mini/4 along two era 100s?Looking for advice and placement on the basis that the space is living/dining/kitchen. (7m x 6m) Where would you place the tears?Also looking to place some speakers outside in the covered alfresco area. Any advice here is appreciated. 

My home interiors are in progress and my day room, family lounge, dining are all interconnected open spaces.I have attached my Living Room Plan. (ALl measurements rae in milimeters)I dont have too much budget left but want to install SOnos Arc Ultra as of now. Kindly note I have never used any soundbar evr or any other speakers for TV, ever in my life.Will Arc Ultra be sufficient as per attached plan.All inputs will be welcome.Thanks in advance.

I’ve just set up my HT with an Arc, Sub 4 and 2x Era 300’s. It setup as a surround sound system.  I also have two ceiling speakers in the room running off a Sonos amp. Do I create a group with the surround system and the ceiling speakers or is there a better way to do it to ensure I still get the full surround sound effect?Do I do another TruePlay setting if I add the ceiling speakers? Thanks

I am unable to get Dolby Atmos playing via by Beam 2 and LG OLED B4.  I have tried with “The tomorrow war” and other movies suggested to ensure Atmos is available but I just have “Dolby Digital Plus 5.1” on my Sonos app. beam 2 HDMI is connected to eARC. “Sound out” = HMDI(ARC) device “DTV audio setting” = Dolby digital plus (I have also tried auto)”digital sound output” = pass through”eARC support” is toggled to on ”select HDMI input audio” is greyed outIf anyone has any suggestions please do share! Moderator edit: Changed Beam to Beam 2 for clarity

Hello, I have the sub ultra arc, the Sub4 and two era 300. They are set as a surround system under home theater. I have a surround system when. Watching my cable. Channel on TV everything works perfect. When I am on youtube, Netflix or other app only the ultra Arc sub works and the Sub 4. The two eras 300 silent remain silent. I called the the tech support but they could not fiz the issues. While I have a different set up upstairs the arc and the five and sub3 work perfectly even when watching youtube, Amazon etc. Who can help me seolve this issue? It is very frustrated especially when the tech cannot fix it 

Not sure this exists but would really like to see it.Just be able to suspend, not disconnect or unpair, Era 300s and Sub from home theater setup. Mainly due at night when playing a game, it be nice to only have lower volume sound come from just the Arc Ultra.

I find it is impossible in practice to use the Beam (Gen 1) connected to my recently purchased LG OLED TV through the ARC socket.If I want to switch to Bluetooth headphones, the connection lasts for a few seconds before the Beam snatches it back. If, on the other hand, I connect my DVD player via HDMI, the TV tells me that I cannot use the ARC connection. The answer has been to use the optical out connection and everything seems to work perfectly. I can leave them all connected and they function when required. However, I obviously lose some functionality although I have been able to make the volume controllable by the LG remote. Do other people have the same experience? Who do I “blame” for this? Is it something about the Beam or is it that LG have not developed an ARC that functions with all possible connected equipment? 

I'm using a Sonos Beam Gen 2 + Era 100 rear speaker. The placement of my speakers varies greatly during the day and night time. Because I move my speakers to the bed at night. But as you know, Trueplay is too loud. So I was always very psychologically uncomfortable at night because I think I'm hurting the person next door to me. So I've been exploring if there's a way to save Trueplay's multiple profiles and found it's not possible. But instead I found a great alternative!If you have another smartphone, before starting Trueplay, you can set the start volume of Trueplay through another smartphone!Trueplay sets the default volume value to 50 in the immediate message warning you that you will start the test tone. You can change this default volume as much as you want. Increase or lower it. I have the Samsung theframe tv and I used to see the volume control number where I am at. When I added Sonus arc to the system I no longer see the volume number and now I just have to rely on the sound I hear to control the volume. How do set it up so that I will see the volume control number again.

I ran Advanced Tuning on my Sonos Beam Gen 2 + Sonos Era 100 setup today. It changes the EQ quite dramatically. It is a very noticeable change and the sound becomes more balanced and better.The problem is that there is no change in the volume of the side firing speakers at all. When playing 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos test tones, the side channel is simulated through the sound output from the side firing of the soundbar and rear speakers, but the sound output from the side firing speakers is so small that it actually feels like 5.1.4.In order to feel like 7.1.4, the volume balance of the side firing speakers and the rear speakers should be adjusted by TruePlay, but the current TruePlay technology does NOT change the volume of the side firing speakers.Ideally, TruePlay would measure the distance between the soundbar and the rear speakers, and the farther away they are, the stronger the output of the side firing speakers should be, and the closer they are, the weaker the output of the side firing

I am trying to use a Sonos Ray soundbar as the sound device on my personal computer. I have used both an internet cable to the computer as well as an optical cable. The Ray is shown as the main sound device & I can see the sound is playing but I cannot hear it. They are all on the same router.Whilst the Sonos Ray is recognised by my computer, my Sonos App on my mobile phone cannot find it.Can anyone give advice/help please?

With recent news of the "Pinewood" Streaming Box being scrapped, I have been considering what functionality of that product I was looking forward to.  The video streaming services were almost irrelevant for me. What I was looking forward to was the box providing a gateway to wireless connectivity to Sonos Speakers for TV Audio, with HDMI Switch.  My request is that Sonos focus on that. Forget the video streaming services. And focus on a hub that connects to TV via hdmi and provides functionality to wireless connect to Sonos Speakers, with multiple HMDI connections to run Games Console, 4K Blu- Ray etc through the audio.   In my mind it seems like something so simple that would open a new world for Sonons Home Theatre.  Please Sonos, I would love a Sonos TV Hub.

I thought this was a bug but they said this is normal.Of course, this can be considered normal in terms of marketing strategies. This is because it will encourage people to purchase separate subs. If LFE from surround sound and overhead channels is managed through a woofer built into the soundbar, it is good for consumers but not for sellers because it creates tremendous progress in the Bass experience.When Sonos Beam Gen 2 is used alone, the LFE signals generated from the surround and overhead channels are not processed by the woofer embedded in the beam. Only the LFE generated from the L,C,R channels is processed by the woofer embedded in the bar.
