We are building an extension and I need to fit it out with SONOS.
I would like the TV to connect to an ARC Ultra, a Sub 4 and 2 ceiling speakers as the rears. I assume I need an AMP too? Can someone please describe how I set it up?
I will also have 2 more pairs of ceiling speakers in the room to complete the music sound in teh whole extension. Will I need a seperate AMP?

An Amp bonded to the Arc will drive two speakers as surrounds.
I would use a second Amp to power the other four, they could play alone or added to the Arc set for streaming music.

The Arc Ultra is wired to the TV’s ARC or eARC port with the supplied HDMI cable.
The Sub and the Amp driving your surrounds need to be set up and end up being connected to the Arc Ultra via an unseen 5Ghz connection. The controller application will guide you through this installation.
The extra pair of speakers will need their own Amp, which, like the Arc, can either be wired to your router or just connect to your WiFi. Again, follow the instructions in the controller application to ‘add a device’. Note that while both rooms (zones) will be synchronized when streaming, there will be a 75ms delay between the Arc’s ‘room’ and any grouped ‘room’ when playing anything from the TV..

Will the extra pair of speakers with a separate Amp be able to utilize the same Sub?
No, a Sub is assigned to a single Room.

okay so there is no way to share the sub across two rooms?
You would need to “remove” SUB from the first Room then “add” SUB to the other Room. The reverse process brings SUB back to the first Room. By the second day you’ll decide that this is very time consuming and not practical.
Note that an AMP’s subwoofer and Line-In capabilities are disabled while AMP is used to drive surround speakers.
