The Google Home devices have configuration within the Google Home app to set the volume level for Alarms and Timers. This is absent in the Sonos integration and the alarms we've been setting on the Beam are far too quiet, resulting in them being missed. I've no idea whether this needs to be fixed by Google or Sonos, I've already reported it to Google, and encourage anyone else experiencing this problem to also do so.
I have a couple of stereo-paired Sonos Ones that play music all day in our living room. Google Assistant is installed and up until a couple of weeks ago, worked flawlessly. But now the GA’s voice is a whisper. I haven’t touched the volume of the music playing and so far GA has been responding perfectly, but now it whispers.I’ve looked everywhere for an option to adjust the volume of GA but can’t find any. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the GA and rebooted the speakers many times, but nothing has helped.Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)/Thomas
I recently added Google Assistant to my Sonos One. I’d like to set up Family Bells. When I try to add a bell, the Google Assistant app says that I don’t have any speakers set up, even though I do. Google support told me to contact Sonos. Sonos support says this is a Google problem. Has anyone successfully set up Family Bells with a Sonos (not using a Google Home/Mini)? The help article from Google says you just need a speaker and the Assistant app. But something isn’t adding up. I just want to know if this is even possible before I spend more time on hold with customer service. Thanks!
Hi,I link my Google home and Sonos accounts and my Sonos play appears in my Google home device list. However, when I try and play Spotify through the Sonos and not the Google mini It says that it is unable to connect to the device - anyone know how to resolve this issue?I've already tried unlinking and relinking the accounts twice. Thanks
Sometimes I tell Google Assistant to play music (from Spotify) by a certain artist and the music plays. Other times I tell Google Assistant to play music by a certain artist and the Assistant says the music by the artist will play but nothing happens—no music. Using Sonos Two. Help!
HI,I have many of your products and a Sonos One. I have been waiting for voice support for a long time. When is the wait over? What is the reason for slow roll out?
I ask the Google Assistant (GA) on my Sonos One to ‘Hey, Google… Play the news’. GA plays my news podcast playlist. When I say “Hey Google….Stop” or “Hey Google… Stop playing the news” or anything closely related, it won’t stop. Previously I was able to stop the playback by hitting the Next/Pause button, but now it only act as the ‘Next’ button, taking me to the next story. I tried to change the playback to the weather - “Hey Google...what is the weather today?” GA plays the weather, but after, starts the news playlist again. The only way I can get the news to stop is by unplugging the device and plugging it back in. Come on Sonos. You’re better than this. I consider you a ‘near luxury-class’ product which means you should always get it right. I used to have the $20 Google Home speaker in the same room….on top of my Sonos. I really don’t want to go back to those days. The only thing I can think of that may be the issue, the Google Home in the next room or on my phone may be
Good day. Sonos Beam + Sub and Sonos One. I use Google Home Nest Max. In the Sonos app on iOS, there is no Google Assistant option in the Services and Voice, Add Service section. Why? Thank you for your response. Miroslav
I have recently ordered the arc which has google assistant built in. I am wondering if i have to keep the existing nest mini speaker to control all my smart home devices or if i can get rid of the speaker and use the arc to control all smart devices. Not sure how good it will be to have two google assistant devices in same room!!
Hey everyone,I have a google account that supports Google assistant although it’s not officially supported in Israel. Is there a way I can enable Google assistant with my Sonos? Thanks
Hi, I can’t see how to install apps e.g. DR Radio in the Google Assistant (GA) running on my Sonos Move speeker. Google assistant with DR Radio works fine on my phone, but not on Sonos Move. Any ideas would be much appreciated...
I just set up Move with google assistant. GA recognizes the device and I can say “turn volume up/down” etc and it works. However when I say “pause music (on move)” GA says nothing is playing although it actually is. Also, cannot start any playback from Sonos (eg. TuneIn radio station or my playlists). GA says it needs more info. So GA seems to recognize the device but not Sonos.I have removed and re-installed GA and Move (factory reset). I have tried re-linking my Sonos account to GA. No change. Any suggestions please?

Hello,I have just purchased a Sonos One Gen2, I am very satisfied with the sound quality.I am however disappointed with the voice recognition capability with google assistant. The speaker picks up the "OK Google" relatively well, but then it hardly ever understands what happens next other than if I'm close to the speaker or if the sound is very low.Can you tell me why the speaker is picking up OK Google but not more? Is there a way to check if there is a configuration problem?
I have a Sonos Move and I am using Google Assistant. Now that there is Voice Match, how do I get my Sonos to hear my voice to use my Spotify Account and get another voice for another Spotify Account? The way we log onto the Sonos is through one account right now but seem to only be able to use one Spotify account for both people.
I have connect my Play:1 with Google assistant and am frequently using my Google Nest Hub to start songs, control playback and volume. But one thing never works, asking it to play another song."Play SONG 1 on Sonos" Works like a charm, but if am currently playing as song and say something like:"Play the song SONG 2"I get the following response:"okay, playing SONG 2 on [name of my Sonos speaker]. I'm sorry that mode isn't available right now" So obviously Google Home is recognising that I'm currently using the Spotify service on Sonos but something (on the Sonos side?) is stopping it. What?
Hello! I have a Sonos 1 in the kitchen where I use Google Assistant for music, news and Spotify playback. Music works fine and plays back without issue but we often have an issue where podcasts and specifically CBC World Report playback cuts off early, usually around the same point every day with the speaker stopping the stream mid-sentence after about 4 minutes and instantly announcing “That’s all for now.”All devices updates. No issues with wifi or internet. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Hi there, I am trying to find out whether I can control my Sonos One speaker via GoogleHome in South Africa. Can anybody assist? Reagrds, Heinrich
I have tried many known command but all failed.Any idea?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a number of Sonos products including a Beam and Two Sonos Ones Gen 2. The Google Assistant that I have set up with the products is truly awful. I have to ask it several times to play a song or to even stop, it doesn't understand questions like “what time is it”. I have 3 nest minis and these work perfectly and understand every command. The nest minis are much further away from the router than all my Sonos products. My Beam is right beside my router. Can anyone help? thanks
Is it possible to specify a Spotify album be played via the Google Assistant, rather than a song of the same name? If I say “Hey Google, play the <album name> album” it will play a song matching the album name, rather than the album.
Hi.I have two sonos one (gen 2) speakers - they have worked just fine toghether with Google Assistant for a while. But recently they often answer “I’m sorry but the speaker is not available right now”. This happens after the GA first tells me it will play something at Spotify or Tune in.I have tried to restart the router and also reset both speakers and again added them to the sonos app and GA. But the problem is still there.Any ideas what could be the problem?
