Google Assistant and Sonos

I can start playing music or a podcast with Google assistant but one it starts playing no more reaction (funnily yesterday everything worked just fine). I tried all steps suggested - unlinking on both sides (i.e. sonos and google assistant), but can't resolve the issues. Can you please help?  Thanks 

If I ask google home mini located in the kitchen to play a specific song in another room, ie living room, it says that the content isnt available and it cant perform that action. Cant remember the actual words used. But if I go into the sonos app and search the song, it is available and can be played. Is there any way around this?

I have a Sonos Move, everything was working fine until I changed my wifi network and I setup again Sonos Move and linked to Google Assistant again. After that when some music is playing, Google Assistant stops listening. When music is paused, it listens perfectly, even if i place the volume as low as possible (zero level - no music sounds) the microphone does not work. It was working perfectly before the change.

Hello, I've owned a pair of Sonos One for about 2-3 months now and they are amazing. Especially since Google Assistant launched for Sonos speaker in the Netherlands last month. The first few weeks were very good and I had little complaints. But since 1-2 weeks Google Assistant stop responding to even the most basic questions. Only when I stand next to the speaker that has the voice enabled and I talk really slow she sometimes understands what I mean. We have our Google Assistant in English, since my girlfriend is Swedish. Even tho there is bilingual support in Google Assistant there is no way to name rooms/devices in Dutch and Swedish. So we choose the middle ground and set everything in our house in English. I've already tried the following: Setting it too Dutch. It's now in dutch and it's far from perfect. But she does seem to respond a bit better now. But this is not a solution. Hi,I cannot add Google Assistant to my Sonos. I have one beam and two one setup as surround system.So far I have tried resetting all sonos and try to add google when only one unit was enable, tried different sonos and google assistant account, tried adding google sonos from different IOs devices but every single time when sonos switches over to google assistant I get error message that they might a problem….  

Hello, I've actived the Google Assistant on my Sonos one which is working great so far. However the audio que and the answers Google gives are way louders than the current volume (5%) should allow for. It's next to my bed and esp. at night this is quite annoying. Is there any way to control this? Also maybe it's an idea to introduce the feature that Google Home speakers have for some time now, the ability to set a max volume at night hours.

Every couple months, I find Google Assistant is no longer working on my Sonos One pair. The fix is simple enough, but it’s definitely annoying.  To fix, I have to first remove Google Assistant from the Sonos app then re-add it.  This is a bug that should get fixed.

Wanted to post this up somewhere for people that might be tearing their hair out like I was without realising the issue.TLDR: when going through Sonos app to enable Google Assistant for your Sonos devices (Sonos One, Beam or Move), make sure your pi-hole is DISABLED / your DNS setup is unfiltered and ok. Turns out my pi-hole was blocking something from resolving somewhere which meant Google Assistant could not find any of the Sonos devices (No Devices Found error in the final steps in Google Assistant app).  This was even despite the Google Home app showing the Sonos account as “linked” and showing the devices in the “Rooms” shown - it just wouldn’t complete the final steps of actually enabling the assistant on them...I probably shouldn’t be allowed to run my home network given such a simple thing, but sometimes the obvious/simple things are what you overlook, so maybe someone else will find this useful.______________________________Long Story:  I was recently trying to add a Google As

Ok.Bought my Move about 8 months ago. Sounds great. Set it up and it worked perfectly with both Google Assistant and my YouTube Music Premium (so I could say, Ok Google, Play X and it work).  Everything was amazing. Then about a month ago, my Sonos was unresponsive (couldn’t connect to my network no matter what I did). So did a full reset so I could set it up as ‘new’ again. Since then, while the Move is back online and some of the services work, like:YouTube Music Premium - works from the appRelisten - works from the appSonos Radio - works from the appThere are now issues I can’t resolve. My SiriusXM Canada - does not work from the app anymore. Gives me an error in the app when I try to access a ‘channel’. Says, “Unable to play X - the connection to SiriusXM Canada was lost’ or when I try to view my favourites, it says, “Sorry, something went wrong, Please try again.”  Ha - funny. Hi,  Thank you for these beautiful sound system. I have a boring problem. As said in the title, I must launch two times the music to have it started. After it's OK. But when I come back after few hours, I still need again to push play two times.  -This does not appear with jack connection-This appear with Android Sonos S2 app-This happen when I say "OK Google start music..." Thanks for your help.

I have 3 Pandora accounts let’s say A,B,C added to my Sonos S2 App (Sonos One, Playbar, 2xFives). The Sonos One is configured with Google Assistant. The Google Assistant is logged into Pandora account B. My desired outcome is: Hey Google, play “Toddler Radio” and Toddler radio begins on Sonos speakers using the Pandora account I configured in the Google Assistant app : Pandora Account B...alwaysThe result: roughly around ¾ of the time, the configured GA Pandora account B is the one who plays the station. Randomly, Sonos, or Google Assistant will decide to play the music using my account A, which I NEVER want to play Toddler radio. As a result, my adult pandora profile is getting littered with Baby Shark radio and the like.I’ve gone so far as to completely nuke my whole Google Home setup, delete Account B from Google family manager. Is it really that bad?  Because at this point, it feels that bad. I have a stereo pair of sonos ones (the main speaker being the second gen, the other 1st) and a sonos move. I have no other google speakers in the house and to lessen any confusion from my Google assistants part, I even disengaged it on my phone. I have problems nearly 100% of the time with google.  Simple commands such as, "pause," "play some music", or "skip this song" or mainly everything music related I get a constant, "Sorry, something went wrong, when you're ready, give it another try."   Or, my favorite one is, "Sorry, I can't do that here, but you can ask me to play it on one of your other devices." This happens all the time.  If it does work, it's usually on the second or third try, and by then I'm so frustrated I wish I never invested in these speakers.  Spotify is my main squeeze, but anything streaming related seems to be a nightmare.  I've tried rebooting google assistant but nothing works and now I feel lik

I’ve just got a Sonos Amp (my first device), and I’m trying to add it to Google Home. I’ve tried by adding it through the Google Home app, and by adding the Google Assistant through the Sonos. Both end up with the same problem - they open the Sonos website to login and when I do it says “Not available in your country.” Even though I am in the UK and:I have set my Sonos profile to United Kingdom My Google account is set to United Kingdom I do not have any other Google accounts on my phone I am logged into the same Premium YouTube Music account on Sonos and Google My IP address comes up as United Kingdom when checking online I’ve restarted my router, phone, uninstall Assistant etc.I’ve been through all the threads and tips I can find, and I can’t find any more advice on how to fix it. Please can someone help? It really just seems like the Sonos website mistakenly thinks I’m in a country that I’m not.

What is the command to get Google assistant to play music from Sonos Music library.I know I can play via the app, but is it not possible to use voice commands?

I have a Beam, a One and a One SL grouped together in my lounge. The charging base for my Move is also on my lounge but it gently lives in my bathroom. Whenever I use Google assistant to control my hue lights, it will respond on my Move if it's on charge in the lounge, but if it's in the bathroom the response comes from my phone, even if the phone is in another room which is annoying. Although Assistant is enabled on the Beam and the appropriate One; it just doesn't seem to work. If the phone or the Move isn't in range, I get nothing, no response. I assumed it was because it didn't work in groups but theres no logic to that. 

Hi, I am trying to connect Sonos play 5 with my Google nest mini, Nut while adding voice assitance with google assistant>add to sonos, in Sonos app i can find Sonos Beam in the Sonos app but i can not find my sonos Play 5 which i want to connect to Google mini. What could be the reason , Please help Thanks

I'd like to know why my Sonos devices only play the requested song when I request a specific song with a voice command and via You Tube Music, but when I make the exact same request on my Google Nest or Polk Assist speaker they play the requested song and then continue with other various songs that Google thinks I might like.  I would expect the same Google behavior across various Google devices.  

I say something like "ok Google, play Radio 4" and it responds saying "Playing Radio 4 on TuneIn" or I say "ok Google, play Bruce Springsteen" and it responds saying "alright, playing the Spotify playlist called This is Bruce Springsteen" but then does not start playing in either case. I check the system by saying something like "ok Google what time is it?" And it always responds to that correctly. Very occasionally it works and starts playing the music but more often than not it doesn't. I have tried:Disconnecting and reconnecting my Spotify accountDisconnecting and resetting up Google Assistant on the SonosSetting my default device to play from in Google Home as the Sonos OneChecking my default music service in Google Home is Spotify

Hi, appreciate any help or ideas on this one.  Are there any known limits in regards to the Google or Alexa voice assistant commands available on a Sonos One?Sonos One with Google Voice Assistant cannot seem to handle many of the commands that a Google Home Mini sitting right next to it can.  Examples include home automation commands like “turn on my lights” or routines I would want to run by name.  Google Assistant on Sonos will inform me that “that device is not set up yet but can be on Google Home.  etc.” where again, a Google device has no issues.Known issues here or additional configurations that I can make?Thank you for any ideas.Sam 

Just received my SONOS beam and tried to set up the Google Assistant. Followed the steps in the SONOS app, but when i go to connect to either Google or Alexa, I get a ‘There was a problem adding Google Assistant’. I have tried everything I can think of - reset the device, deleted the app and re-installed - but nothing seems to work. I’ve successfully connected the device to my Google Home, so can play Spotify from it, but that is only through my Google mini. Any ideas please?

I have a Google Hub. Before adding the Sonos Beam, I could play Pandora from the hub, and the hub's display would show what was playing on Pandora and basic controls (for example, I could thumbs up/down). Now that I've added the Beam, the music plays from the Beam - which is perfect - but it no longer displays Pandora on the hub. I have to go into the Sonos app on my phone to see what's playing. But, if I say, "Hey Google... play Ella Fitzgerald radio on Pandora on kitchen display" (which is the hub), it displays Pandora on the hub, but the music also plays from the hub and not from the Beam.How can I play Pandora (or whatever, really) by voice control to my hub, have it display on the hub, but play on the Beam? The Beam is set as the default speaker for my hub.
