Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Anybody else have the problem where the Connect stops playing for a few seconds and then comes back - plays for som minutes and then stops again etc. What to do about that - is there a solution?

Hello, I am trying to determine the best wireless configuration (if any) for a home theater solution with surround all connected to the Sonos Arc Ultra through TV.I have this list of Sonos components below:   Arc Ultra Amp Sub Mini Era 100 x2Any advice on configuration or insight would be very helpful.  

Have just bought the Sonos Ace headphones .Been wanting them for ages but delayed my purchase,because of the App disaster .Now I've got them I'm very disappointed.So much talk for the last few years ,that my brain has got it all wrong .I thought the idea was to connect to your wireless system .You could then continue to listen ,whilst on the move ,in your home .The plus purchase ,they are well made,very comfortable,connect via blue tooth. But you've missed sales, in turning your back on your expensive Sonos system.what a big flaw in introducing headphones without that extra offering . Wake up Sonos ,listen to your customers.Alarm bells are ringing in the streaming box .I will have to take a closer and more attentive approach in what I experienced so far

When using the Sonos App on iPhone 16 Pro, I have a longish Apple Music Playlist. Sonos will only play up to the letter “B” and that’s it…it doesn’t recognize the rest of the playlist. When I suspected that perhaps it needs to be “see” the selections in order to load everything I scrolled to the bottom and selected something else. Then it would only choose songs from a few letters worth of artists. Then the next time I went to play music from the same playlist, it went back to only playing A and B named artists. Is there some way to fully load the playlist permanently or to load it fully at each session?

Hi there,I’ve got a Sonos Amp connected to a computer. I use it more like a line-in and less like a TV. Ok, it’s almost completely unlike a TV, in fact. :)It’d be nice to treat this more like a line-in:Specify an auto-play volume level. Allow playback to other speakers while using the Amp to play something different. (naturally, some added delay is expected here, similar to the “Group Delay” which exists today.) Rename the input to something other than “TV” (this has been brought up a handful of times over the years) This one seems like it’d be an easy addition and would make the whole experience a lot less confusing.Naturally, I would not like the analog line-in feature of added latency***. 😉 I understand this is an atypical use-case for Sonos speakers, but wanted to bring it up anyway to see what others thought. (***) On the topic of latency, what’s the expected added latency for HDMI audio input? It’s low enough to be totally fine in isolation, but if I use the speakers powered by

Is there any plans for a Sonos Ace setting to disable play/pause/volume control beeps?It seems like a good idea based on the comments made in a bunch of reviews and some of the posts in this forum.Aside from a house full of Sonos equipment I’m an Apple user in general. I feel like this is the kind of detail that wouldn’t be overlooked by them. Loving the headphones in general, as someone who got tired of waiting for proper APM 2’s. I think just this setting to disable beeps and the whole lower volume level playing issue and they’re pretty much perfect.I know you can do it Sonos! 🙌🏻

I haven’t been using Sonos much after the May24 update, wiating for things to improve. Just uploaded my Mozart collection to the HD I keep my music library on, tho, so updated the library and started trying to play a few things. Disaster. Albums and playlists are now truncated and duplicated in random ways  - so a ten-track album might now appear as three albums, one with 2 tracks, one with 5 and one with 3 - or ten albums each with one track on. Same thing with playlists, which seem to be missing most of their original tracks. SO to play one album I need to play n album fragments. This is the case on both the PC version and the mobile app (Iphone).I’ve checked back to the itunes and music folders and all is untroubled there, so this seems to be another Sonos problem. I’d normally remove all the music folders from the library and then reload them, but that took three months to resolve last time I tried (last May). Anybody else got this problem, or an idea for a simple solution?Thanks

I have read a lot of threads on here, but I have yet to see anyone with the Sonos in-wall fronts with In-ceiling 8 inch speakers. How would one compare the sound stage and depth between the two set ups. I really want to use the two in wall speakers as fronts due to aesthetics as well as the fact that I have a mental block telling me the in-walls will last much longer than a soundbar. However, everywhere I read, says the arc ultra is incredible. My question I guess is how much of a compromise is it to go with in-walls in front vs arc ultra? The system would be mixed use, as my living room is open floorplan and is really the only space in my house to entertain aside from the backyard. I want a great cinematic experience but even better music experience. I don’t want to invest in the wrong speakers and deal with headaches. Please help. 

Hi,I’ve got a Connect:AMP that powers on but will only output audio for a few minutes before the audio cuts out and goes into fault (orange white flash) mode.I’ve opened up the AMP and taken a look for any blown fuses or capacitors, none of which I can see.I suspect the issue lies on the logic board itself.Could anyone suggest where I should begin with diagnosing the logic board to resolve this issue?Ive attached some images of the AMP in this post.Thanks 

Hi all, for several weeks now, when I attempt to group some Sonos speakers located in other rooms with the Beam soundbar that is playing TV audio, the group does not remain fixed, and the speakers are immediately separated. It always worked but now it does not. (Ungroup on auto play is turned off).Anybody has any clue? Thank you

Libary no longer updates automatically, and the app freezes when I try and update the library manually.  FFS why is this such hot garbage. 

Last couple of weeks, grouped rooms with alarms no longer works. It’ll play to the room selected but despite grouped rooms checked in the alarm setting and rooms grouped and playing fine at the time I go to bed, now they won’t group when the alarm goes off. I can’t see anything recent as this as an issue and alarms had been working and stable for months and now this!   

Controls' volume is absurdly loud on sonos ace headphones, e.g. volume up/down, pause/resume, switching noise modes. I was very surprised that control notification sounds do not scale with the volume, and stay very loud at all times. Is there any way to either scale or lower them?

On the iPad mini running iPados 18.3 we can do most functions normally. But when we look at the SiriusXM channels we see different (old) information in the channels listing and sometimes in the channel’s view. The now playing in the controller at the bottom is correct, but what is listed on the channel screen or in the channel list is often an older track- sometimes they even show three different songs. Usually we can back out of the list (or jump up one more level if we are elsewhere in the Sirius section) and it refreshes (but it’s not 100% consistent).We have readded Sirius to the Sonos app, and reset the Sonos app and readded it to our system at the request of Support agent on chat. Same behavior. This seems to be relatively new. Has anyone else seen this?Has anyone figured out a cause or solution?

Napster on Sonos not working 4/7/2025The problem that happens is that the Napster service does not show up in Sonos, even though I pay for it etc. When trying to add it back in through the "add a music service" function in Sonos settings, you can authorize the service ok but then when you go back to Sonos to actually use it, Sonos gives an error "unable to connect". The solution for me was to go into my Napster account outside of Sonos, go to account settings and edit account settings and there will be a field called "Screen name" (already filled in by Napster with some random name) and then another field called "Real name". The Real name field was blank, so I filled it in with my choice of a random name (I did not use spaces in the name cuz the "Screen name" field didn't either).  I then saved changes and then went back to Sonos and went through the process of adding a music service (Napster) and this time it asked for the name of the service (which it had not asked for before) and I

New to Sonos, wondering what this does; selected on Connect:amp

With the addition of lossless via the app. I’ve started using the Sonos app once again for Apple Music but I’ve noticed that there seems to be an issue with how the stats are collected.  The total minutes seems fine but the stats breakdown is wrong. For example, I listened to 5,000 minutes which seems right based on my history, but my top played artist/song/album counts are wrong. I even did a conscious test where I exclusively listened to Fontaines DC via the Sonos app (what an album btw) and it didn’t come up at all in my replay stats which it should have.  is this a known issue anywhere? cheers 

I have replaced an Arc with an Arc Ultra, attached via e-Arc to my Samsung QE55QN90B. They are associated with 2 Era 300s and a Gen 1 Sub.When playing from my NAS, ( Ethernet connected Jellyfin source), I get a short drop in audio every minute / couple of minutes. Only lasts a second.   Sources from Atmos, to 5.1 to Stereo all experience it.As it all worked fine with the Arc, I’m assuming it is related to the Arc Ultra Any thoughts on cause / resolution ?   

Newer Sonos user. Working with a playbar with gen 2 sub. Works great for TV/Movies. I can stream audio from my Apple Music account fine.  BUT…  I also have about 30 GB of personal music I’ve digitized from my CDs over the years and built playlists for them. When I try to stream from my iPhones internal music library via the Apple Music most of the songs are greyed out. Library is mostly AAC with some MP3 formatting.  There doesn’t seem to be any pattern as to what will stream and what won’t. Even albums are mixed with some songs playable and some not which were certainly the same file type. 

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum.I hope I'm writing in the right section, if not I apologize.I'm asking for your help on the "Sonos Five" product.I just bought it but I have some doubts, I can't adjust the highs and lows through the application, I move the cursor but nothing changes, while the balance and volume work regularly.What could it depend on?I also have another problem with the sound, on the highs it is too bright/sibilant, while the mid range is not very present, could it change with the break-in time? the bass is fabulous!!!Has anyone had the chance to compare the Era300 with the Five?Can the Era 300 have more relaxed highs and a more present mid-high? For the bass, can I add a subwoofer because I don't think it's at the same level as the Five.It's just my simple thought, but if it's worth it I could do it.Thanks in advance for your help.

I spend more time trying to get the sonos system to work than I do listening to the music. The app on my phone and desktop routinely fail to find any number of the devices on the system. When the device can be seen it will take an age to connect to and when it does finally connect it will show as playing but without actually outputting any music.This system is at work and we have an absolute mountain of speakers, lamps, ports and amps and not one of them is reliable. The system will ignore inputs and skip tracks at will and pause itself for no reason. If we weren't tens of thousands dollars deep into the sonos system I’d rip it all out and replace it all.If anyone else has a large system and has had similar issues I’d appreciate any fixes.  

Dear sonosI wanted to touch base and share my experience with the new Sonos system that I recently upgraded to. After reading several positive reviews, I was excited to upgrade my 15-year-old Sony home theatre system to the Sonos system for $5000, which was three times the amount of my old system.However, I have to admit that I am disappointed with the sound quality. While playing music is great and I love it, watching a movie is a different story. The Arc Ultra sub 4 and two 300 era speakers are supposed to provide amazing sound, but in reality, the Arc Ultra is just a mono speaker with no adjustment for left and right channels. This results in an overwhelming center sound, making the overall home theatre experience disappointing.Moreover, I don't have the option to adjust the volume on the left and right channels, which I feel is missing from the package. The system needs more sound from these channels to truly wow me.I wanted to share my honest opinion with you as someone who values

Need clarity as my Sonos era 300 system has been a pain to use via the Sonos app and if I just AirPlay then there’s no point of buying the era 300 as Dolby atmos doesnt work I could’ve just bought the era 100 which is way cheaper and still decent enough for a bedroom sound system

Can anyone tell me why Sonos support refuses to support their product? I’ve had issues with the Sonos arc sound bar since the day I bought it. Vendor I purchased it through directed me to go through Sonos support, but they refused to support their own product. The arc sound bar refuses to maintain a network connection, I’m at a loss because now it won’t even factory reset so it’s a very large paperweight at this point 

Could someone from Sonos comment on the following:We would like to understand where our playlist data will reside under this new App design Are the playlist / favourites : retained solely on the Sonos devices and edited in situ & synched to all devices in our group? are Individual playlists created / copied to the cloud for editing etc and then synched back to the devices?  (Then removed from the cloud)  are all Playlists / Favourites replicated to the cloud, maintained in the cloud and then synched to all our devices? Some other combination ? Why the question ?   We want to understand what will happen to our playlists & favourites when we are offline (ISP Failure etc.) which happens from time to time. Will we still be able to create / edit / play the playlists without a connection to the cloud?(We know the new app doesn’t work offline at the moment but there have been announcements that Sonos will be working on this so this question is purely about how playlists and favourites
