Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I need to install my new Sonos Arc Ultra Soundbar with 2 Sonos Era 300s and a subwoofer in my living room. Before, I used the Sonos Playbar and two Sonos Play 1s with subwoofers and I could turn the system volume up and down using the Samsung TV or SkyQ remote control.Can I do the same with the new system?

My Sonos Ray Soundbar always sounds like is has too much Base. I was hoping that the Dialogue would be a little more Crisp considering how much I paid for this. Is there something I am doing wrong or not doing something? Thanks

The new iOS App update today, and yesterdays system update, seems to have vastly improved the App loading on my iPhone, in fact Sonos App home page is now loading quicker than Apple Music App, both from a previous force close. Previously Sonos App home page would take 1-2 seconds to load from force close, now its less than a second. I assume others are seeing same?

Hello,I just received my Sonos ace, I seen when i push or i adjust the left pod, like a « cut sound » or something like that.Is it normal or not ?Thank you

On my SONOS system I added many new “SONOS playlists” accessible on iMAC and Mac Book Air, how may access them with iPhone SONOS app connected on the same system ?

Smallish house, Sonos One stereo pairs in 4 rooms, plus ARC, 2x ERA300 Surrounds & 2x Sub in living room. Trying set up with/without Boost. Always Truplay tuned. On ‘just’ the Deco single router house wifi, everything is solid. Sonos works perfectly. The house has around 100 devices using the router. We get no issues with anything. On the (wired to the switch) Boost though, the audio drops in and out if you walk in front of speakers etc in all rooms apart from the one where the boost is. Tried EVERYTHING to reposition the Boost to no avail. By contrast, you can place the wifi router itself pretty much anywhere and everything stays rock solid. Why then, am I bothering with Boost you’re all asking? Surely this is the dumbest post in the history of Sonos?! Simple. The sound quality is much crisper and punchier on Boost than on just Wifi. It sounds soooo much better. Why is this please? Anyone? There is no info anywhere on sound being much nicer to listen to on Boost (SonosNet) than on

For the past 2-3 weeks my Sonos roam and moves show no column bars and are unable to play anything. I’ve reset each speaker several times, updated the app and searched for solutions but the issue persists. This is particularly painful because my daughter likes to listen to audio books on her Sonos roam and is pretty upset when I have to reset and spend 20-30 minutes getting her roam to work every night. Please help. 

Here is my setup. LG G4 77 inch, Arc Ultra, Sub 4, pair Era 300s, and Xbox Series X. Issue I am having is what seems to be center channel on Arc Ultra not producing proper audio.REALLY notice it in Borderlands 3 when NPC is talking, dialogue is incredibly low or nonexistent. If do turn my character on screen at just certain diagonal position in relation to NPC, it provides little better audio. but still not proper in relation to rest of on-screen running audio. Elder Scrolls Online when completing a dolmen, after all the pinions are closed, and Molag Bal is speaking (offscreen, but speaking “overhead”) right before final enemy drops, Molag Bal is near impossible to hear. But all the other audio, in both the above examples are completely normal in audio. Just dialogue are the issues.Neither of the above examples EVER happened when used Bose Lifestyle 650.It is so very noticeable, not only ruins any fun in playing the games, but really, really, has me regret purchasing the complete Sonos

I am stuck please help me with transferring playlist from apple music to sons

I can’t use my preferred streaming service as my alarm. I used to be able to wake up to albums or playlists I have in Idagio but now there is only one radio station that works in the alarm. It used to work fine for years until the big staff up last year.

I have no alarms currently set. In the past I had a 7am alarm to play a radio station but I removed it ( or so I thought). Now the current settings definitely show no alarms set,but the alarm is actually operating and the station plays for 1 hour every morning. how do I cancel the alarm?

I was interested in having an additional speaker to pair with my Arc / Sub3 for TV listening. I don’t want the additional speaker to be a surround, but a full-range extension speaker. My TV  and Arc are across the great room from my kitchen and sometimes difficult to hear when eating breakfast. I note the combination of the Arc and Move2 mentions, “Breeze through setup with the Sonos app, and enjoy easy control with your TV remote”. Sounds to me like the Move2 would play tv audio. Is this true? I already purchased and returned a pair of Era100s because I was told they could only be used as surrounds for TV audio.

Well on the plus side the new app and firmware are a lot better than they were when first released.On the negative reliability is still an issue and full queue management is among the features still missing.Here's hoping we don't have to wait another year for a reliable full featured app and firmware.

I'll do a measurement soon and post the ts parameters. I bought another pair on aliexpress. Will also measure those and see if they're legit.

Beam Generation 1I have a Beam Gen i 4 years or so old, about a couple of years ago it powered down while in use and would not restart after numerous attempts. I put it in storage and a few months ago dug it out, plugged it in and it ran as it should for about 10 minutes then once again it stopped working.My first question is. can what appears to be a simple fault be repaired in NZ  and if so where would I find  a repairer?If it cannot be repaired in  NZ should I dump it, regard it as a lesson and never buy another Sonos if that is the lifespan I can expect from Sonos a product.

After doing the sound pincode for pairing the Era 100 and my iPhone it starts connecting to my 2.4 GHz WIFI (While blinking green. After a while it stops showing any light and I get the message “Your Era has been added, but may not appear in your System. If so, unplug cord  etc” But even after doing that nothing happens. The Era just stops showing any colour at all. I have tried the following: Factory Reset.Reset Router + Sonos Era 100.Set my router to only run 2.4GHz (AI suggested it was easier to set up than via 5GHz) After the setup is done my Era 100 just stops showing any form of light. During the setup it alternates between White and Green but after a few cycles it just stops showing any light.  

Is the Roam speaker a manufacturer defect?I have 2 and have given up trying to reboot them. And all the other trouble shooting advice. I have serious thoughts of not buying a Sonos again. 

Hi I have questions about the Sonos app as the Arc has stopped working completely after the upgrade within about 3 days. My partner has failed to get it working at all.I am also a little concerned about the quality of the HDMI connector on the Sonos, seems not to have brilliant cable to socket interference (yes, it is a technical term for engineers). However this has been eliminated from the investigation, it’s just not a high quality detail. Any experiences welcome of cable manufacturers recommended?The app, what is happening with this?

I have an Apple TV 4k and Beam Gen 2 and recently it has been dropping volume when I turn it on or switch apps. How can I fix this this issue?

Has anything changed with regards to Sonos and Tical Connect support?It would need support for the specific Tidal Connect protocol, which Sonos would need to license/implement and certify. Qobuz is also about to deliver a similar offering.Hi-Res Flac streaming is a second priority for me. If Sonos has no plans to support it, then I would not be buying the Sonos Arc Ultra, which would really be a shame.Cheers - Gé 

I purchased/downloaded SonoPhone just to see what all the hype is about. It’s one of the  blandest  app’s I’ve ever seen. It reminds me of something from the 1990’s. As far as functionality goes….IMO it’s the old Sonos S1 app.Appearances...well once again a picture speaks volumes…..On the left is the SonoPhone showing “Music Services” and on the right is the Sonos App that shows “Your Services”. Oh..wait...the SonoPhone doesn’t show anything. I guess it couldn’t find them. 😂 Oh well...moving on….On the left is the SonoPhone “Playing Now” screen and on the right is the Sonos App “Playing Now” screen. Let’s not talk about which screen is more intuitive. The yellow circles on the Sonos App show what’s missing from the SonoPhone screen. The “volume level indicator” is only circled to show it’s readable at a glance; without having to touch the “volume slider” as is required on the SonoPhone screen. Let’s not forget the SonoPhone limitations. I am being presented with this lovely problem...“The sonos controller is currently running from another user on your computer. Please quit the Sonos controller from the other account before installing”.Problem is that there is no other user accounts on this device, no separate Sonos application running in the background, device has been rebooted and I’m still being presented with the error.I’ve even reset the controller which made no difference.To make matters worse, if I try to do the update on my mobile device, it says there was a problem checking for updates and to try again.It would be very helpful if the error messages were more meaningful and accurate.

Hi,  I have an Arc Ultra connected via HDMI Earc.  Whenever I am watching Saturday Night Live, when the live act plays their two songs during the show, the vocals come through much louder than the musical sections of the song.  It’s like the Vocals are turned up and the Musical Instruments (especially the bass) are turned more than halfway down.  I also noticed this issue during the Live Halftime musical performance of the Super Bowl.  Any ideas? Also, I noticed that Sonos much have fixed the problem where some of the ads volumes were much higher than the volume of the show.  This was super annoying. 

Maybe I’m imagining this but fairly recently, possibly since the new app, the fade in on the alarm doesn’t always work.  Some (most) days the music fades up and isn’t too much of a shock in the mornings, but on other days it comes straight on at full volume.  I wondered if this could be something to do with the fade in starting at the point of the alarm triggering, rather than when the music starts - so if the music takes a while to cache the fade has finished by the time it starts playing?   Just wondered if this is a new bug or just me!
