They’ve had a long time to fix it, but its still unstable and lack elemental features. Have they learnt nothing?
After trying to connect a new unit several times today I was left with several new rooms in the app, all unavailable because the unit crashes, but I can’t delete the rooms because the unit is not connected. Huh?
Basic UX principles should be applied.

Sounds like a real issue. Have you called Sonos Support to discuss it?
When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
I’ve often found UX/UI concerns to be a personal thing, but I’ve not really found any unworkable changes in S2. Perhaps not working to my muscle memory, but it’s all there that I can tell.

If you go back a ways here and read about the app mess you may have a better understanding of how badly the app and firmware development process was hosed. I'd be surprised to see the development team back to full compretension and skills anytime in 2026.
This is an all too common problem and it can't be fixed with more money or more warm bodies. Some portions can be sped along if you can find developers skilled in the specific areas but that is usually a band-aid on a lopped off arm.
I thought all the problems in Sonos app were caused by Google, Apple and Amazon, but it seems it was just mines 😅… so, I’ll pray to not suffer the issues I’m reading here every day.
