I’ve seen variations of this problem specifically with spotify going back at least 4 years. Does anyone yet know if this is a sonos or spotify issue? In my case the service connects fine, but after 3 or 4 songs sonos starts skipping songs with a “file not found” error, and eventually stops after skipping several. I can correct it by manually pushing play on any song on the playlist and it resumes fine (for a short time).
Based on what I’ve read elsewhere a few clarifications:
- affects both spotify only and mixed source playlists when spotify songs are included (and only breaks on spoitfy songs).
- I’m using spotify as the service within the sonos app.
- Phone or PC app does not make a difference.
- I’ve already unplugged and rebooted the entire sonos system
- I’ve removed and readded the spotify service
- No other service I use (including local NAS files) has this problem
- I have a very robust home ubiquity unifi wifi network with no connection issues on any devices and all 13 sonos speakers have reserved IP addresses, as do almost all permanent devices in my network.
I’m pretty weary of indepth troubleshooting with sonos, since I find when a problem doesn’t go away after a reboot it’s almost always a sonos-code problem that I can’t fix. Appreciate any tips or insight.
Anyone have any success streaming spotify from another app to sonos speakers to get around this? I’m finding more and more that as much as I can bypass sonos’s own app things work smoothly.
I miss the days when sonos was a reliable, responsive home media system. Another victim of ens***ification.
