I have been with Sonos for 15 years and it’s so sad to see a once perfect product and service can not get its act together and fix their app connectivity!

Sonos, please Make Sonos Great Again!

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I’ve not had any connectivity issues, despite being a Sonos customer since at least 2011.

What issues are you experiencing?

Most of the time App does not recognize the system. Long lag time till components are found. Then you want to play something and absolutely no response. Have to close and open the app a few times till it connects. Even then some times no response and I have to reset the whole system

Are you still using the Boost as your profile says you own one? If so Why?

Certainly, if you’re still using a BOOST, retire it, and either wire a Sonos speaker directly, or hang your system off of your WiFi. I’ve retired my BOOST, the newer routers are certainly more capable than back in the day when the BRIDGE/BOOST was necessary.

It does sound like your network could stand a refresh, so unplug all Sonos devices from power, then reboot your router. Give the router a couple of minutes to settle down, then plug back in your Sonos devices. Check to ensure they’re showing up in your controller, and check for any updates, and apply them to your Sonos as necessary.

If that doesn’t help, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR. I have more than 20 speakers in use, and certainly am not experiencing any of this.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Thank you Bruce! I’ll retire Boost as you suggested and set up again.

@Airgetlam

Curious. You wrote that you have 20 speakers in your system. Are you able to play them all at once?  When I call in to support, they tell me I can’t play all 11 of mine at once as that is too large of a group.

I haven’t tried recently, but just tried now, no issues.

I can't try it tonight but I recently had two full HT Rooms, 3 stereo pairs, one with a Sub and three single speakers playing without issue.
