Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi, I’ve been using 10 Sonos speakers for years — the One and the One SL. They’ve always worked perfectly until recently. Lately, the speakers have started to stutter. I play music or a playlist through the Sonos app, and when the next song starts, it takes 10–20 seconds before it begins playing on some of the speakers. This issue appeared suddenly. I’ve already tried connecting the speakers to the SonosNet, but that didn’t solve the problem. I suspect it’s a software issue, since it only happens when the next song starts or when I skip a track. How can I fix this?

Home Theater finally complete , was looking forward to my new SONOS immersive sound experience, hung my new Sony Bravia 8 (which sat unboxed, purchased on sale in February during sales event) and the TV had a white line down the left side of screen.  Sony tried to fix remotely and ultimately the TV wouldn't turn on at all.   Sony said the panel was damaged and would not cover it under warranty, $2600.00 down the toilet.   Needless to say I will not buy another Sony.   Looking for your recommendations for a 77” OLED (very dark theater room in basement).  I know Sony’s 2023 A95L was rated the best for past 2 years, but I’m not going there.   TV use will be mostly Sports/Movies/Regular Use (no gaming).  Now looking at LG’s or Samsung’s.   I have read just about every review on 2025 TV’s but as you all know one can drive themselves bonkers.  Appreciate the Sonos communities help/recommendations!  

Hi all. My ONE is refusing to reconnect to my WiFi and system. Had it for a couple of years with no issues but a couple of weeks ago it stopped responding when I asked Alexa questions. I reset it back so that it has green flashing light, go into the Sonos app and it shows up asking if I want to connect, I say yes and then it pings up saying not found? I also have a Beam, couple of Play:1’s and a Roam and they all work fine.I haven’t changed WiFi or any settings, it’s just decided it doesn’t want to play?Help!!!

I have just been listening to a playlist on Spotify that I selected via Sonos. It was awful, with lots of suddenly ending and skipped tracks. I stopped and closed my Sonos app and opened a Spotify app to connect to my Sonos system and play the same playlist. I am now enjoying the playlist with no interruptions and no skips. Why……?????

Hi Guys please excuse my lack of knowledge on this. I have a whole home Sonos set up.  I went against having halway speakers when the house was being built.  After living in the house I decided that I wanted hallway speakers too. There were two ceiling speakers close by but in another room. My Av guys have ‘piggy backed’ from those speakers and managed to get connections to the two additional speakers.  the issue I have is that whilst the original ceiling speakers still sound good. The new hallway speakers are quiet and lacking any energy.is there a way to improve the sound? 

Hi, Saavn stopped working on my Sonos System a week ago. I completed reauthorisation, it didn’t work. I have 4 Move speakers I would like to connect via blue tooth for a party away from my house & wifi

thinking of adding Sonos Fives to my current system (Beam, Sub, Era 100s) - same room   Reasonably happy with the HiFi music reproduction but the focus is obviously to the rear of the seated  positions and naturally the front is a narrow focus from the Beam. Questions - Are you Five owners impressed with the music reproduction - worth the investment? Will TV (when turned on/video played) automatically play through the beam and Eras if music was previously played through Fives (and possibly the eras and sub). Sometimes play music through Apple Music on Apple TV, though generally through iPhone Apple Music app or Sonos app. I’m aware that speaker grouping is possible just wondering if the HDMI ARC connection would disable the Fives when activated. As i write this it occurs to me that music through the Apple TV will be still ‘TV’ audio so would have to be played through an app to use the Fives. Trying to keep things as simple as possible for the Mrs when I’m away and consider the implicat

Hi All,Sonos Desktop - v17.0Sonos - S2 Build 85064200Windows 10, Version    10.0.19045 Build 19045For a while now the desktop app has been duplicating playlists. All duplicates have the same content and are playable. I have tried previously to remove and re-add the playlists in Apple Music. I have deleted the service from Sonos and reconnected it also. This only happens with playlists, Apple Music albums are not duplicated. Also, the Apple own playlists do not duplcate, on the user created playlists. I have reset the controller as well as uninstalling it and reinstalling it.Has anyone else seen this and found a fix?Thanks  Moderator edit: Diagnostic number recorded and removed

Hello. My Sonos ROAM no longer lights up and doesn't seem to work at all despite a reset. I only get the orange light when I put it on charge. I am no longer under warranty. Is this the death of the speaker?

Hola, me acaban de llegar unos sonos ace que pedí hace poco. Lo he estado utilizando para reproducir música, ver videos e incluso jugar. El problema, cuando uso los audífonos para escuchar música en la app de YouTube music, la nitidez del sonido cambia drásticamente, pasando de un sonido muy limpio a uno que parece ser de unos audífonos súper baratos. No entiendo si es el Dolby Almost. Alguien me podría explicar cuál es el motivo del repentino cambio en la calidad del sonido?  

Suddenly today, a number of Sonos Radio Stations seem to have disappeared.They still show up as favorites in my ‘sonos favorites’, but when I try to play them - nothing happens.  The ‘>’ play button goes to the stop button symbol.  If I press play, it momentarily shows the play button, then goes back to stop.  There is no error message.If I delete the favorite, and search for the station on Sonos Radio service, the station shows up, but if I say ‘Play Now’ - nothing happens. This is affecting:RNZ ConertRNZ NationalWQXR-FM (But ‘105.9 WQXR ‘ works)KUSCWYNZ-FM Any idea what is going on?with thanks for your help,bernt

Hi, I recently bought the Pro Ject turntable and connected it to the Sonos Amp and paired it with  a nice pair of Martin Logan speakers and I’m using the Sonos Sub Gen 3 as subwoofer and it works flawlessly. Although I’m nostalgic with vinyl records, my kids are nostalgic with CD’s so I went to my storage and pulled out all my CDs and bought a CD player. I connected the Amp to a Duac Audio input switch and VU meter and the turntable works flawlessly, however, the CD player had a slight delay when playing the first song. We miss the first few seconds of the first song making me have to go back and restart it. I have the delay feature to minimum (75ms). Is there something else I can do to make it start from the get go? I’m thinking it’s the sub. Everything, the Amp and the sub are hardwired to my router. Thanks in advance.

Hello It appears that the Sonos App is no longer able to find my local music library on my MacBook, even using the NAS workaround? I know that this was a huge problem after Sonos “upgraded” their app.  I also know that the eventually deployed a fix whereby you used the NAS settings to log into your Mac/PC to access your local library.  The fix allowed me to play my locally stored music, even if it didn’t support my local Apple Music playlists. This fix worked for me from around August ‘24 until just recently, but now, once again, Sonos is not finding my local library and even the NAS workaround isn’t working.  After I enter my username and passwork it appears to connect and my music library starts indexing, but eventually it stops and I get the dreaded error that my library must have moved. Is this just me or are others having this problem again as well? thanks

Hi there, I have a Sonos Amp paired with Kef Q11 Meta floor standing speakers. I’m thinking of getting a Sonos Sub 4, my question is, will the sub make a difference to my listening experience? I saw that you can select the crossover frequency but as the Kef speakers go as low as 20Hz (in room response typically 26Hz) and the sub goes to 25Hz, can I set the crossover that low?

It seems that everyone I use my Sonos system there's a problem and doesn't work! It's appalling how bad it is.  I have over£1,500 of kit and I feel like throwing it all away and buying stunting else.  The sound is create but everything else is awful.  Sonos need to get its act together. I am surprised the people responsive haven't been replaced and appropriately skilled people employed to get the rest of the environment as good as the sound. For example tonight the help is overlaid and flickers when in use. It's awful. Totally amateurish.I can't believe I'm saying this in 2025.

I still can’t get my Sirius Xm account to authorize with the Canadian site, even with knowing my passwords and credentials. I was able to use everything at my old house but now at my new house can’t get it to authorize as it takes me to the American site and when I transfer to Canadian site and all logged in no option to authorize it? Any help? 

Sonos just keeps closing these threads regarding the broken app. So I’m opening a new one.The question remains. Is Sonos ever going to fix it? Are they really going to a subscription model as suggested here: https://www.wired.com/story/sonos-redesigned-its-app-and-made-a-subscription-model-possible/I really want to love this product again, but it’s virtually unusable without a working app.

I have paired and connected by Sonos Era 100 speakers to my Sonos app on my mobile devices (Ipaid Air 2, Pixel 8).  I paired the speaker to my Dell desktop XPS 8930, but it will connect for only a second and then unconnect.  I have tried rebooting the speaker as well as the PC.  Nothing works.  My primary use of the Sonos Era is to connect via Bluetooth audio files in my library on my PC. I have tried googling answers or related information but cannot find anything.   Any suggestions?

Hi all,I’ve just upgraded to Fibre - i.e. a new router. I’ve gone through and reset all my Sonos devices (Play 1s, Play3s, and two Beams). However, in the App on my tablet, none of the devices are accessible (even though they show up) - under the Sonos network ‘My Sonos’. I’ve reinstalled the App on my tablet, and forgot and rejoined my Sonos network.However on my phone (exactly the same App version), everything is showing up and working fine. I’ve renamed my Sonos Network to NOT be ‘My Sonos’, and this doesn’t show in my tablet. So it appears as though my tablet is connecting to a rogue Sonos network which thinks all the devices are connected to that network, but my phone is connecting to the real Sonos network where everything is connected.Any advice please?

How do I make the volume level stay constant between songs - at least when using Spotify?

When browsing BBC material the broadcast dates are displayed in US format even though everything else on my PCs are set to UK.  I see this was raised with Sonos over two years ago… and still not fixed.  Is that right?

I have the Sonos app on my iPhone and iPads. I play on my iPad but then I can’t control the Sonos system on my iPhone? 

A year on since the “new app” launched and the Lock Screen Controls feature has still not been restored.  Has Sonos given up on a feature that practically every other media player has by default??

I have speakers in 3 rooms. When I play via AirPlay, I play it to the AirPlay-enabled speaker (not all are AirPlay compatible, but for a group all you need is one of them and the group will work).For some reason over the last few months, when I play over AirPlay, the group does not work. It will only play out of the AirPlay-compatible speaker. If I choose the group from within the Sonos app, it works.The AirPlay speaker is in the bedroom. A group contains the bedroom, office, and living room. So only the bedroom speaker plays and I cannot get sound to come through the other speakers in the group.Any ideas on what to reset/reboot/try? Thank you. All iOS software and Sonos speaker software and apps are up to date as far as I can tell.
