Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Friend purchase this for me and I've tried on numerous occasions to set this up but it won't seem to let me.  Reboot it several times but nothing.  Gets to the point where the device is set up, asks me where it's located and then it checks for updates.  I get a 1011 error and then it closes and my device doesn't show on the sonos app.  Is this a known issue and how do I get around it?  Tried to phone sonos and the wait time was 80. Yes, 80 minutes.  I really want to complain about how terrible and unnecessarily complicated everything is but I'll save thay for another day.  Really not impressed so far.  Can someone please help?  

Hi, I used to be able to search for artists, tracks, albums, etc. in Napster on my Sonos Controller but now when I tap on search I get ‘unable to browse music’. I can select music from all the other options in Napster and they play okay but cannot search. I can search on Amazon Music no problem. 

When will the ability to downgrade return?

Hi, my roam won’t charge. The orange light comes on for a few seconds but then nothing. I have left it charging as I always have but it is dead. I have held the power button for 12/15 seconds but still nothing. Very frustrating!!! Any help would be appreciated 🙏 

Why does my Music Library setting disappear every night?I have a share set up on my NAS box (QNAP) and every day when I go to use my SONOS system it cannot find the Music Library. When I log onto the Windows 10 client it has no entry in the path so I have to manually set up the path and rescan for all library data.Not exactly the last word in convenience, anyone know why this is happening.System is:Connect PLaybar 2 x Play 1s in Stereo configuration Android Phone The dreaded new Sonos AppHELP!

I have just setup a new router and much faster network. Unfortunately, this means resetting all of my Sonos speakers.  So far that’s generally been ok, except the Play 1s (for surround audio) and sub connected to a Playbar.  Resetting the Play:1s didn’t work until I added them via Ethernet, but subsequent resets they have been fine wirelessly. however - I seem to be in a cycle: set up the Play:1s, set them as surrounds, it all seems to work…and then immediately they appear to be missing in the app. I can play music or TV in the room, but it will also only play through the Playbar. When I look at the app, the speakers themselves appear to be missing.  I have tried this several times now - and it seems to keep repeating. What am I doing wrong?

Are refurbished sonos products available in the UK

My sonos move was working fine connecting to bluetooth and playing music, but i wanted to connect it to wifi and use the sonos app with it, which it was refusing to do. So i reset the sonos move. (i suspect wifi  connection wasn’t working because i live at a new house different from where I set it up). Anyhow, I did a reset of the move to see if this would help. Now it needs to be set up again.The application now is able to identify my sonos move, but says i need to update the sonos move in order to finish setting it up and use it. So I accept, and I wait for it to update. But the update is taking very long, so long that the move eventually stats flashing red. Am I supposed to keep waiting for it to finish after this red light happens or no? if it ever will finish updating, I am not sure. I can wait longer I suppose but it is taking a very long time. And the move shouldn’t be broken, the bluetooth was working perfectly fine before i reset the device.

Hi All, I have recently noticed that my Sonos arc home theatre system (era 300s and subs) keeps losing the system settings. EQ, sub levels, etc keep resetting to default after a couple of hours or the next day. i haven’t found any other threads on this so am curious as to whether it’s a common issue or just me! Any advice?

I have an ARC, Sub Gen3, and two SONOS 1s as surrounds. I just purchased two ERA 300s to replace the Sonos 1s. I am not able to release / disconnect the current surrounds and thus can't replace them and use  300s as surrounds.The S2 Application trys but fails with the message:    There was a problem removing your surrounds.     Check the network connection and make sure your    products are powered on.The current configuration works and in the past I was able to reconfigure/remove/replace surrounds and Sub.  None of that's working now. I tried unplugging everything including other speakers and the router and adding only the ARC, SUB and surrounds. I tried the app on multiple phones, a laptop and the web interface. No luck. I like the ERA300s and would like to connect them to the ARC but I'm stuck.

I have a Sonos Arc and Sub Gen 3. The Arc is connected to my Nexigo Aurora projector using HDMI eArc. The sound quality isn’t as good as when I play music from my phone via AirPlay. For example, a song sounds great on my phone even at half volume with strong bass. But when I play the same song through the projector, even at 80% volume, the sound quality is lower without life. Does anyone know how to fix this or suggest better alternatives?

Why do they make this seemingly impossible?! Every time I change broadband provider I have to reset every Sonos product I’ve got, losing everything!!!Is there any better way of doing this. I have a One, 2 x One SL and Beam. When I open up the Sonos app I get a screen that says welcome. Add a speaker or join existing system. 

I don’t understand why the new App doesn’t include the WM:0 and WM:1 information?

Hi,I experience the following since the new app is availalbe (black background):App says it cannot load any content...on my iPhone 13 which is up to date The TV room is always lost when listening to the music, I have to add it again all overIt was not a problem with the former app (golden background).Is there any fix to that?Thank you 

Along with everyone else, I trusted the Sonos QA process and upgraded to the new app when it arrived. Lesson learned on my part and shame on Sonos. There’s enough written here already about just how mind bogglingly and unfeasibly s*** the new app actually is but I haven’t seen anything  mentioned yet about lagging ?Specifically,  when I try to adjust the volume on my speaker using the mobile app the system refuses to accept the change and it defaults back to the previous volume settings.  It’s the same on the EQ adjustments.  So I try again. And the app refuses the adjustment. But then 30 seconds later the volume goes up and down and up and down again. The only way to adjust the volume or EQ is with patience.  One setting at a time, until it sticks.Adjustments on volume and EQ used to be immediate no matter how many settings were being adjusted.Please, fix the latency/lagging between controller and speakers. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.  

The new app has just been downloaded to my IPad. I notice that the equalizer has been removed or is hidden somewhere. I use the equalizer quite often, so this is not an improvement.Can anyone confirm that the equalizer is fone, or if not, maybe explain where I can find it.Thatks

For the past several months my Sonos app keeps asking me to set up a new system, as soon as I click the set up button it reverts back to my already set up system. It happens again if I am playing a song and my phone goes to sleep, as soon as I try to switch songs the app says error then asks me to set up a new system again. VERY ANNOYING. The app is updated. 

HiI set up my 2 era 100 and my beam gen2 All good to listen music from Spotify  but when I use my TV ,only Beam gen 2 is working!! I can't see how to set up my Era 100.Thank you for your helpBarj

Trying to add payers hardwired to my network, they add then vanish. Sonos arc added however couldn't complete TV setup. Had to borrow a friend's iPhone and then I could complete TV setup. 

HiSince the new app I have been experiencing issues with one pair of speakers in one room.Firstly one speaker unpaired and became unresponsive - this required a reset and part of this was that the remaining speaker was showing but I could not control the volume or connect a source to it.The slider bar was inactive, and when clicking on a music source it spooled and the just says “something went wrong”.I am now having to play the source in another room, then add the room I am having problems with, adjust the volume and then remove the other room - then the volume control bar is active🤷‍♂️ This, the lack of sleep function and removal of connecting to my music library has be scratching my head! Anyone else ?
