So I just realized Sonos can no longer access my music library and after doing some searching online I found out it is an error that is affecting many users. However, since I am not the most tech savvy guy, I don’t know if my specific setup is the same of other users reporting the issue, or maybe there is something I can do to fix it.

I have 2 Sonos Play:1 with Sonos OS2 and a Sonos Port with Sonos OS2 as well. My music library is on a flashdrive attached to a USB port on my router. It is a Sercomm FG824CD v2 provided by Vodafone Spain which runs samba 3.0.37. SMB file sharing is activated without user or password.

This setup has been working fine por a couple of years, but now the library has disappeared from the Sonos app and I am getting a 913 error when trying to relink it. I can access the folder from my Surface without any issue.

I don’t know if anyone can help out with this or if it is the exact same issue other users are experiencing. I hope Sonos rolls out an update to solve this and hopefully this post will let me know when this is fixed.

If this doesn’t get fixed I would consider an alternative method to access my local library, namely a NAS o a Raspberry Pi, because I am afraid the flashdrive will eventually die and I may lose all of my files. Are these servers affected also by this issue, or could anyone recommend any of them?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure about flash drives attached to routers, but you should for sure back up that flash drive to another external drive before you lose your library.

I have my library on a NAS and it works well.  Have also experimented with a Windows folder using the Sonos instructions ( also some help from this community ) which also worked well, but don’t want the computer on 24/7.  So just a test.  Don’t have a Mac.
