Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I’m having issues getting Airplay 2 audio to work with my stereo paired Sonos One speakers. YouTube works reliably, but other apps do not work even after setting the Audio Format option to Change Format On and New Format “Stereo”. I’ve also tried the 5.1 setting but get the same behavior. Weirdly, I’m able to get the speakers working if I wear my AirPods Pro, connect them to the Apple TV, and then change the audio to the Sonos speakers. (To confirm I left the room with the AirPods in to avoid a perception issue). In this situation, I hear the Apple TV navigation sounds in my AirPods, but the content audio on the speakers. Looking for help on additional troubleshooting steps to try. The Apple TV is on the same WiFi as the speakers, I’ve tried this with the speakers paired and unpaired. Thanks!

Music shortly turns off after starting song on Play5

I’ve had one SONOS Amp running two 8 ohm speakers for years with no issue.I just purchased a second Amp so I could run another pair of 8 ohm speakers to a different area of my back yard. I connected everything today, and the new amp will play for about 10 seconds then I will hear a loud pop. The amp then flashed white and either orange or red (hard for me to tell the difference).I tried connecting my old Amp to the new speakers and it works fine. I connected the new Amp to the existing speakers and had the same pop.I’ve tried different variations between the different sets of speakers and the new Amp keeps popping.What else can I check? Is this new Amp bad?Thanks -Ron

What can I do to get the app to recognise my play 1 again after the rubbish app update.Also I can no longer use my sonos over a wifi connection Any help greatly appreciated 

Sonos customer service is one of the worst I have experience. I don't know what has cause the decline .I have had issues 6 weeks with my sonos amp and outdoor architectural speakers.Anytime I try to call it's min 60 mins hold. Then I spent 2 hrs trouble shouting.  They replaced the amp. Took 2 week to get this and still didnt fix it. Had to call again 80 min hold this time. Spent another  2 hours on the phone and was told it's the speakers and I should never been told it was an amp issue. It's been 2 weeks since this call. After a week of failed attempts to use rhe advance option to ship new replacement speakers I am now told that the 5 business days shipping is change to 6 weeks.They don't care about customers.  I have spent over 10,000$ on Sonos products and I am beginning to regret this because of the terrible after service 

I'm not sure if a c-suite individual came up with the idea of changing a perfectly good app, and turning it into something that constantly fails. My speakers are always syncing and system not found.  I've spent thousands on this system and I'm extremely disappointed. When will this be fixed

So here's my situation, I've had a Sonos 3 working for years. I just had to update the Sonos app and now the app cannot find the Sonos. But if I press play on the Sonos it's playing music. I have removed the Sonos app from my phone and reinstalled it. No change

Line out to Sonos 5 gen 1/ and Yamaha tuner tuner is connected to components cd /phono/turntable tape deckall components are working properly but doesn’t play through speakers  it did but not now please advise  

I’ve had my sonos arc since march of 2022 and as of this year added surrounds (2x ikea Symfonisk) and the sonos sub (gen 3) and everything was working fine for those 5 months up until 2 days ago. Any sort of 5.1 audio thats passed to sound system sounds extremely muffled when it comes dialogue. I did some playing around with it and it seems each individual channel sounds normal except for the center channel on the sonos arc sounds normal.I currently have the arc plugged into my LG C1 into the eArc port and have the audio output from the TV set to Auto. Switching to PCM does make it dialogue sound clear but I assume thats because its limiting it to PCM 2.0 in everything I’ve tried. Switch to passthrough has no effect.I was wondering if anyone has experienced something like this and had a fix for it, or if my unit is already defective after only 2 years. Thanks

I’ve downloaded the new app, but can’t find true play to to my system. System is a pair of One SL. Using iphone with iOS 17.5.1 Sonos app version 80.04.04. When I open the app, it asks me to sign in. When I do that, the app tells me to enable cookies. I have contacted support, and was told that this was not expected behavior. Is there something simple that I am missing?

Hello, if I add multiple albums or playlists to the queue, only the first album or playlist will appear in the Recently Played list.  Shouldn’t everything that plays show up in the Recently Played list?  It’s kind of useless if you had 10 albums to the queue and then only the first one shows up as Recently Played.  I could turn off that list, but everytime you do an update to the app, it gets turned back on, and I have to delete the app and reinstall it in order to hide that list again.  If I’m going to start using the Recently Played list, then I would like it to show everything that I listen to, not just random items.Is there a bug list that is being worked on?  Will this be fixed in a future update?I have the latest version installed on my iPhone with the latest version of iOS as well.ThanksK

 Question: Will a pair of Roam 2 speakers work and stereo on the road when I'm traveling where only a Bluetooth connection is available?  Documentation says that it requires Wi-Fi. That implies an access point.  Connecting through Bluetooth alone, can I use my mobile device only and have the pair of Roam 2 speakers work in stereo?  Thx g

I’ve a pair of Move2.  I can’t pair Move2 in stereo mode via Sonos App.  I was able to join both of Move2 to my network but it only shows one Move2.  I wanted to be able to play the same music to those both speakers.  Please help!!!!Thanks,Justin

I had two Sonos Five that I sold privately. The buyer is a little discontent because the touch controls do not work on the one of the players, or at least the play/pause buttons. This is something I never have noticed myself since I never used these button. He sent me a text message from a Sonos chat that suggested that it is known some Sonos Five indeed have this defect. Since I bought the players in 2020, it’s too late to claim any warranty.Anyone who have run into this and can confirm?Yes, I know that there it possible to turn off these button, and I probably had made that configuration change. However, since I did a factory reset before the buyer picked them up, that should not matter. 

Factory reset your Sonos Playbar and add it back to your Sonos system. The app will then guide you through the process of pairing the Roku TV remote using an optical audio cable connecting the sound bar with the tv.I figured this out after wasting my time on Sonos Live Chat, who gave me instructions for a previous version of their app. I waited 35 minutes on hold with phone support and they told me my remote wasn’t compatible as it wasn’t infrared, when in fact it is IR. They then gave me the same bad instructions as Live Chat, i.e. click on “Home Theater” and then “Setup Remote”, which doesn’t exist on the new app.

I’m trying to figure out how I can access MY music that I’ve purchased over the last several years, using the new Sonos app/system. I’m not a big techie guy. But, the new app/system seems to have made it impossible to connect my Sonos system (14 speakers throughout my house) to my music library on my iMac via iTunes. It’s SO frustrating. Can anyone help?

I connected my Symfonisk with the app a few hours ago and it worked perfectly fine. I turned of the speaker, turned it back on to play some music again a bit later and it sounded like there was a cup over the speaker. Terrible audio quality. I resetted the speaker but now when I try to connect the speaker and app again, the app doesn't recognize the audiocode and when I try to put in the code manually, the whole app just crashes. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Just got a new Symfonisk and trying to connect it to my system. Currently have a Playbar + Sub set up in a TV room and a Five in the the living room. Have been going through the new app to set up the Symfonisk and have tried almost everything. Have had it do the chimes, though won’t finalize. Have typed the device number after that, which always fails. Have connected to the router via Ethernet directly, using a new connection and even using the ethernet cable I have set up with the Playbar. All fails. I’m ready to smash this thing out of frustration and the small satisfaction I may get. This is truly horrible, and Sonos Support gives me a bot that only repeats itself with no actual solutions/suggestions and a phone number that has an 80minute wait. Really hoping someone has a suggestion or maybe has gone through similar and had success. 

Hello everyone!I have a mega problem that makes me hate my Sonos Play:1. I explain to you. A few months ago, when I was listening to IHeart Radio, the music cut out frequently. So I decide to reset my Sonos and now it's impossible for me to activate its wifi. I think the cuts were due to the fact that I was on 5 GHz by mistake. So I connected my iPhone to 2.4 GHz and with an internet wire connected to my Sonos to reconnect. I've been trying to find the problem for almost 12 hours now but without success! I'm really running out of patience. Help me please!!!P.S. I am French Canadian so I use Google translate to make myself understood. THANKS!

Just upgraded the controller on MacOS today (now version 16.2, S2, 79052294, 135275309)Music Library disappeared and trying to re-add it gives“Unable to add the shared folder “//MACBOOKPROB277/Music” to your Music Library (1002).This is after turning on File Sharing and giving read/write to Everyone, otherwise it would be stuck on “permissions”.   My setup was working perfectly before today without file sharing turned on.

My Roam is intermittently charging using Sonos charging base  Not sure what external charging wire to tryany suggestions? 

Hi guys, I have a Sonos Beam that I want to connect but I can't get it to work. When I try to setup the beam and I reach to the part when I have to place the phone near the beam to hear the sound code, the phone (Samsung s24+) doesn't seem to "hear it". (And yes the microphone is allowed in the app settings).I tried the same in an old OnePlus and it worked with that phone. LolModerator edit: combined posts 

I already have a setup with 2 playbars (including one with 2 surround and one sub) and multiple ikea symphonisk and a boost.I bought a new playbar, I’ve reset factory it. and it was not seen on the phone app. I hardwired it and then it was recognized but couldn’t finish the install as it try to update it but fail every time (instantanously error 1002) I’ve try with and without the RJ45 still the same

How do I fix it?  I have an iphone with the new app, and when I update my sonos desktop software, music library is gone. Never I buy again sonos each time is complicated

Ok, new to the Sonos product family but what I am wanting to do is to have a Turntable with wireless speaker/s that can be used with the turntable as well as with streaming music, TV audio, etc.  It looks like if i get the Project Debut Sonos Edition turntable i would need the ERA 100 with the line adapter cable.  I am assuming the i could put the ERA 100 next to the turntable connected to it with the line adapter cable.  If i were to also get two ERA 300 speakers and put them on each side of a TV in another room….does the ERA 100 that is line connected to the Turntable allow it to also play the music on the 2 ERA 300’s?
