Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello,We have MACs at home (MacBook Pos M2, Sonoma 14.5)SONOS controller has been updated to latest version (dated May 8, 2024 I believe). The link to my Music Library has been lost by the new controller. And now there is no way to add it back.It’s 2 days already I am on this problem trying all kinds of solutions and tinkering with all possible configurations of sharing permissions and other System Settings on the MAC. I have spent 1 hour 45 minutes with a SONOS agent on the phone trying all kinds of combinations, actions, MAC System Settins, usernames, passwords, at the end it was agreed that it seemed impossible to add a link to a Music Library on the MAC.Has anyone experienced this same problem already ? Have you found a solution to make SONOS link to the Music Library on a MAC ? I would very much appreciate your help.Regards, nunof

Hello, I need some help. Our Sonos system is currently giving us issues with one TV show in particular, which is strange. Whenever we watch The Walking Dead the ARC soundbar gives us this terrible distorted sound which kind of sounds like a speaker is blown whenever there is a scene with growling, shooting or fighting. We cannot figure it out because it works just fine with any other movie or tv show with shooting or loud noises. Can someone please help? Has anyone ever had an issue like this before?

Hi,I can't play a radio station via MyTuner Radio anymore via the updated app. This worked all fine untill the app update (of last week). Even BBC Radio 2 can’t be played. If I use the app on my Windows computer it all works fine. The only error message I get is: Something went wrongPlease help!Thanks, MarcPS: I have tried all the usual stuff (un and re-install the app, remove and add myTuner Radio as a service)

All worked fine yesterday, today..... all 4 of my devices: MOVE, ROAM, 2 PORTS have defaulted to "out of the box".So effing frustrating that every weekend it's another issue.  Last few weeks wouldnt let me group, said "can't connect" or whatever, now none of them know what network they are supposed to be connected to.  Nothings changed since yest, internet, wifi all fine.I just want to listen to MUSIC!!!!Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

Hi - My Arc appears to be dead - not visibile in the app, but also no longer getting audio from the TV (eARC connection), and the status light is not on. Tried to troubleshoot: Unplugged all cables, including power, waited, plugged back in... still nothing Tried factory reset - unit seemed entirely unresponsive (no blinking lights, orange, white, or otherwise.) The only indication that the device has power is that the status light over the microphone icon is lit up. Outside of that, no joy. Any thoughts as to what else I can try?

I seem to only get significant sound from left ear….very slight on right. Tried on different devices, phone and laptop using Spotify or YY. Any thoughts. Worked fine initially.

Just picked up a pair of Ace.  I’m impressed thus far.  My question is why the Ace doesn’t appear under my ‘System’ with all my other Sonos gear?  Is there a way to add it?I’d also like to purchase the extended warranty for them.  Does anyone know how to do that?

Question: I am replacing a few Connects with Ports. None of these relate to my ‘primary’ stereo, so audio quality is important but not enough to consider including an external DAC.  All the Connects in question were previously connected via Toslink to various amps: an old Marantz, an Onkyo, and an old Cambridge. Now that Port doesn’t have Toslink, I need to decide if I should buy digital coax cables instead, to replicate the existing setup, or just go with analogue (ie buy some reasonable analogue cables, and use the Port’s DAC in each case).  Appreciate thoughts on which way to go.  Thanks  

Since the app released, my playbar tv setup will not work. It no longer can see the connection to my tv via the optical cable. I have factory reset my playbar numerous times and nothing works. Also, my gen 2 sub continuously disappears which requires factory resetting it and the playbar only for it to disappear again a couple days later.Please fix this broken application or roll it back to the stable app. I work in software development and your level of testing before release of the new app failed miserably. Roll it back or look forward to consumer action and significant loss of customers moving forward!

Does the Arc require Ethernet to use an Amp for surround? The Amp is connected to Ethernet and has WiFi on. The Arc says that it needs to be connected to Ethernet (I wish I knew this before patching the walls) when it connects to the Amp for surround. The surrounds don’t seem to work. How to actually test that, btw?

I’m having the same problem. Downloaded the S2 app on our two phones. (Mine and my partners). His app has found the speaker. Mine has not. Very frustrating. I use Sonos daily, have done for almost 10 years. Clearly not a problem with our network, it’s all working fine on my partner’s phone. Must be a bug in the app as downloaded to my phone. Literally everything is the same. Same speaker. Same phones. Same network. His app found the speaker. My app is saying nothing found. I’m so frustrated that it feels like they are making older speakers obsolete just through the app tech. The speaker was working absolutely fine (through the old S1 app) only 3 days ago. Not good at all. Also I’m holding on the phone line and it keeps telling me to go to support and find the answer. Literally no help or Qs on here to resolve this. 

Just had my new Ace delivered, and there seems to be a slightly varying static sound coming from the right headset.Anyone getting this too?  

I have a home theatre setup with Arc, Sub Gen 3, and two Era 300. As of yesterday (5 June 2024) the Sonos app on my iPhone doesn’t recognise my setup anymore and instead says “No products found”.  Please advise. 

Die neue S2 App läuft auf Android immer noch sehr holprig und teilweise gar nicht. Aktuell schon beim Aufrufen der App kommt “System nicht gefunden” - das lief schon besser, ist wieder unglaublich lästig überhaupt ins System zu kommen.Ich hab eine Musikbibliothek auf der NAS mit knapp 5.000 CDs im FLAC Format, darin viele Raritäten und rund 100 zugehörige Playlisten. Noch immer funktioniert nicht:Titel haben keine Coverfotos in der Anzeige Suche in der Musikbibliothek nicht möglich Einfügen eines Titels in die aktuelle Liste nicht möglich, obwohl jetzt wenigstens schon Buttons dafür vorhanden sind, die aber nicht funktionieren Anzeigen aller Titel/Alben des aktuellen Interpreten nicht möglichJedoch am Windows-PC läuft alles zum Thema Musikbibliothek grundsätzlich wie gewohnt. Muss mir überlegen, ob ich weiterhin SONOS Nutzer bleibe. Auf der S1 App funktioniert auch alles - hab mein System schon geteilt auf S1-Gruppe und S2-Gruppe.Aber S1 hat keine Zukunft, obwohl die Endgeräte sehr tau

Hi There,I have some troubleshootings with the configuration of my ONE SL device.The devices never appear into the SONOS app.I saw that I was not the only one to have this kind of issue, and I followed all the steps of this topic :Unfortunately it still not woking properly.I always have a 1101 error code during the process.Or the problem comes from my router (I assigned a static address to the device and open all the protocols availables : AH - GRE - ESP and ICMP), or the problem comes from the SONOS hardware.Does anybody could help ?

I’m using Tidal, but when I click on artist radio, Sonos only lets me play one song at a time. Obviously, I’m hoping to play a Radio of similar artists. It seems to have the same problem when I try Spotify. Any hints as to what I’m doing wrong.

Hi all,For many years I’ve used two Play 1s with no issue. Two or three weeks ago however they both disconnected from my system. I was able to readd one (however it doesn’t show in my Sonos app, just in Spotify?), but the other won’t. I’m able to get to the point where it says the Play 1 should “chime” to be registered by my phone, but it never does chime. I tried calling support but after waiting 1 hour + and getting ahold of a person, the call was disconnected and I received no call back.  Any advice? Thanks.

Why is the Sonos app/ devices so flaky? The devices constantly disappear from the APP and there is no easy way to fix this.i bought a new sub mini, which connected when I first connected it but then said it was not connected and then completely disappeared from the App. I’ve tried everything from resetting the sub to resetting the router.  Nothing works. in the mean time, My Arc SL also appeared as “not connected “ in the App! When I tried to call support, I have a 60 MINUTE (!!) wait time!I am sick of Sonos! How do I fix these issues?  Bala 

I am an easy going islander. I am in IT and used to bugs, figuring out workarounds, even just accepting system issues, latency, and helping users with adoption and change. THIS? THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND FRUSTRATING BEYOND BELIEF and it takes a lot to rile me up. I have invested quite a bit in all sonos products excwpt the eros which I think are ugly. Finally experiencing buyers remorse after ~4 years? System chooses where and when it should play. Just now I could not connet to the amp. Workaround, connect to the arc and then add the amp. Aint I the smart one...wait...it won't allow me to increase the volumn...it finally connected...you can see the indicator but volumn at 0. Increase, and back down to zero it goes!! And that is just the latest...alarm to music doesn't work any more, instead it will alarm to chime and won't shut off...I had to unplug the amp...the list goes on and on... 🤬 Can I go back to the old app? I am sure no, because you are literally forced to upgrade. I will no lo

Can I pair two Roam 2 speakers via bluetooth alone?

The new app on android gives me access to all my favourites but on iPad it does not .why..?also all playlists on previous Sonos app have completely disappeared.annoying and disappointing.any one know why?

When watching a cable tv show with a beam sound bar, does an era100 speaker have the dialog as well as the background music of the program?

Hi,Thanks in advance for your thoughts and time. I am in a new home now with a completely new network of course. I am fine starting over so there is no concern about a quick easy way forward.I would ideally like to have the old system forgotten and create a new system altogether. I have an Arc, 2 Subs, 4 Fives and a pair of Moves.How do I even begin and what is the most logical way to go about this? I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment.I really appreciate the community as it has always been so helpful. Thank you again. 

I’m not sure if this will work, but I’m trying to add my voice to the feedback on the new app.  It’s horrible.  Lag time is ridiculous.  I changed artist and had to guess when a song was coming up because the app was showing the previous artist/album. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to sync. I have 11 sonos speakers/devices.  I’ve never had a problem. The last few weeks have been painful to use.
