I used to think that the desktop version of the Sonos app was not very exciting and could use some work.

But since this new app disaster I have come to cherish it and I kiss the feet of the engineers who decided not to do much to it.

A case in point: I used to add web-based radio stations using the "manage"drop-down menu and those stations would be added to the My Radio Station section of TuneIn and could then be added to Sonos Favorites.

Comes the new Android and IOS versions of the app and TuneIn is gone to be replaced by TuneIn (new) and that does not have a My radio Station section.

But guess what … the desktop version (at least the Apple version)  still lets you add the old TuneIn service ...the one with the "My Radio Stations"section.

You can use the service from the desktop app, but those stations are greyed out and cannot be played on the Android and IOS versions.

Had it not been for the desktop version I would have seriously considered throwing the whole thing out of the window...

Maybe at least some of these stations are available in SONOS Radio.
