Since the new Sonos was rolled out, I can no longer connect to my Sonos system from my Tidal app. It used to work flawless with the old Sonos app. Does anyone know how to fix this?.
I have the same problem. No solution. Every update its worse and worse.
It’s hard to tell, since you’re using the Tidal app, and not the Sonos app, this community is much less familiar with that software.
I’d be tempted to delete the Tidal app, reboot the device, then download and install it again. That should reinitialize all the connections on your network, but I’m guessing that that is the issue you’re experiencing.
On the other hand, every new release that Sonos makes works better and better for me. I do keep track of the release notes here, but they seem to be getting closer to parity with the old app. Never as fast as I’d like, but I recognize, having been a software manager in my past, that stuff just doesn’t happen overnight.
If I used Tidal, which I don’t, I’d certainly be tempted to try using the latest Sonos app, to see where it stands as of the most recent update.
Sonos APP is painful to use. Dont have any widget on the screen or home screen. In this time, to start, stop, or pass to the nexr song i have to unlook my smartphone to make a simple operation. All the other music apps have something so basic.
Sonos APP actually have more problems for my and my platform than the first version of the app. It stucks contanstely, dont let use Tidal connect, dont have widget, etc, etc...
Is the worst APP for music that I try.
But, your solution works fine to get Tidal connect again with Sonos systems.
The Sonos APP to use Tidal, Amazon Music, Spotify or Apple Music dont works fine. Usually dont get the music that I look for or dont play a radio, becouse it cuts constantely.
Its better use the native app and use the connection that have the APP.
