Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

HiEver since updating to the new app search hasn’t been working. Get an error each time where I am prompted to check services. What is wrong?

Can anyone explain to me how to switch on my Sonos move . It’s cut out and won’t pair back up . 

Hi I own a beam 2 and I am getting 2 era 100. To configure them as a home theater if I understood correctly the steps are as follows: I connect the first speaker in the same room as the Beam 2 then I connect the second and then I go to the create surround option. But in the end do you have to do True play or not? At the moment done for the Beam 2. And do I have to set in ambient or full? I would use them both as a music listener and as a surround obviously for films. Thanks. Andrea

Hello,I travel quite a bit. I use Anker a couple of small Anker travel chargers (67W and 100W). I noticed over USB C they do not charge the SONOS Ace headphones. These chargers charger everything else (PCs, Tablets, iPhones, MacBooks, etc). I know they work with PD based on other devices that work fine with PD. For some odd reason they do not charge my Sonos Ace headphones over USB C. The USB A charges fine, yet slow.I’ve tried different cables and chargers. Hard reset the SONOS Ace Updated to latest software on the AceIs anyone else experiencing this issue?Is SONOS aware and going to do something? thanks.

Hi - How can I change my Move, which is currently on the S1 system, to the S2 system?  I have several other  speakers that I will keep on the S1 system.  They’re not S2 compatible.  Thank you! 

My headphones will not longer charge or turn on.  It hasn't even been a week.  Is there something I can do or am I totally screwed 

Hi AllHoping you can helpWanting to upgrade my system to new Arc, sub and 2 x Era 300sI wondering whether it is better for real spatial / surround sound to mount the Era 300s on the wall - above and behind the couch, rather than on stands close to couch? It is quite a large room - approx 12m x 7mAm thinking of putting the Era 300s on the wall behind the couch (the wall is about 3.6m behind the couch)in the photos you can see the wall - with speakers would be attached above the glass balustrade at a height of about 2.4mI am also thinking of adding an Era 100 to the room setup above the dining table. So my question - wall mount the Era 300s? Or keep them closer to the couch on stands? Thanks!!

I couldn’t get Sonos to stop playing pandora. After unplugging everything it would resume pandora even though I had paused on the app. I deleted Sonos and pandora apps to get it to stop.  After reloading the Sonos app, it can’t find my products , even though when you first go to settings you see all my products for about 1 second until it says no products found.   I could not get it load, said it was not compatible with sonos2. I reloaded original Sonos 1 app. It only loaded one product, a gen 1 play 5. Then, it told me that my play 1s are not compatible with Sonos 1. This after Sonos 2 told me not compatible.  Long and short, I only have one of eight products that will successfully pair with the system, though all will let me go through the green light/ orange light/ switch to Sonos temp WiFi , then says not compatible. Crazy part, if I go to pandora that I had to reload , it has every speaker available to me EXCEPT the play 5 that Sonos let me load. I have sonos systems in two different internet locations/houses. Prior to the update, my app would identify my system automatically. Now I have to re-join a system when I change locations. Is this something that others are experiencing or is being or has been addressed? I also have serious lag when using volume controls but looks like others have posted about that already.  

I spent HOURS getting my older sonos speakers set up (after being advised to by newer ones - no thank you since we have 5 speakers around the house) which were working perfectly. After the last app update I had to re-setup all of them (like from factory rest). All connect (not reliably) and one in particular say it’s been made available to the group but I cannot see it at all. I’ve done a factory reset 3x. It’s time consuming and very frustrating.

I have era 300 speakers, the Sonos cable for connecting a record player, and a record player with built in speakers (and therefore a pre-amp). When I connect the line out from the record player to the era 300 via the Sonos cable, I get no sound and I can’t find the line-out option in the app. My only source is showing as TV. What am I doing wrong? My era 300s are set up as surrounds rather than a stereo pair if that helps.thanks, Andy

I can play music through my Sonos via Airplay just fine as long as I’m using Apple Music or SoundCloud. But if I want to play something off my iPhone like a video from my photos app or a video from tik tok nothing comes out of the Sonos. I’m using Sonos One and Play:1 speakers. 

It is Aug 21, 2024. Since May I lost the PLAY button for a any folder or album. I inquired previously and the chat tech stated this would be fixed in an update. This problem persists after two updates since my inquiry. Is the issue going to be addressed soon? If I want to play music in a folder or album it can only be done using the app on my pc but not on my android phone or tablet. On my phone or tablet I can only play one track at a time.Also, as noted by many others, I have not been successful adding my music library to sonos. I followed sonos directions and tried many suggested approaches without success. These are basic functions for any music player. A big investment in speakers throughout my home and there is no way to play my music.

I just installed a Tv wall.  I have 4 - 65” tv’s connected to my Jtech Video Wall Controller.  I am a novice when it comes to these things.  Not sure how to connect my Sonos Arc and Amp to the video wall controller.  Can anyone help?

Good morning,I have a set up with my TV of a Playbar, Sub and two Play:1. This was connect to my LG tv via the optic cable and had no issues.However, the TV developed a fault and I had to get a new one. I decided to go fo a Hisense tv, it has all the connections I need. But the Playbar will now not work with the tv. I’ve tried every setting I can and even reset the playbar to configure again. It recognises its connected to the TV but thats as far as it goes. Someone has mentioned a convertor for the optic to e-arc. Is this a thing or am I missing something simple? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Cannot get the playbar to factory reset… have tried holding down the play/pause + volume-up buttons when applying power, and light only flashes white (does not turn orange or green).

Hi everyone, I am considering getting a Sonos AMP to work with my existing Beam (Gen 2) soundbar and would like to clarify my intended setup.Question 1: Is it possible to connect all of the following to the Sonos AMP?Beam (Gen 2) One passive subwoofer Two passive speakersIf not, is it possible to connect the Sonos AMP with the passive subwoofer and the Beam (Gen 2)?

Brand new user to Sonos. Downloaded the Sonos App to iPhone but was unable to use, as the button to accept terms of use button is greyed out. Have then downloaded Sonos App to iPad and been able to accept terms of use there and get started using new Sonos Roam. This is not ideal as wish to be able to use Sonos Roam when out of range of Wi-Fi in garden. Can anyone suggest fix to get the Sonos App working on iPhone so I can actually roam using my speaker. I have already checked/tried:Checking I am on latest version of IOS  Updating App by deleting and reinstalling  Deleting App rebooting iphone and reinstalling App 

I know people have posted about this but there doesn’t seem to be a real clear answer.  I have a sonos amp in my basement.  I have an outdoor project that is not ARC or E-ARC.  From what I have found there is still a way to get my outdoor projector to play out of my B&W outdoor speakers.  Something along the lines Amazon firestick in HDMI audio extractor extractor into HDMI to optical sonos adapter and then on the other end HDMI into my amp? Also, I plan to use an outdoor weatherproof box because the distance from my outside to my amp would need about a 75 ft HDMI cable.  I want to have a splitter so I can run two shorter cords.  

When will this be rectified? Its incredibly frustrating to know this is a no brainier rollback situation. The new app was obviously not tested correctly and is a major downgrade for usability and customer experience. Based on the feedback being received in this forum the question is When will this be fixed?

My Sub gen1 won’t connect 

 Turned on the TV this morning, no sound from Arc. Pressed TV on IOS app and got volume control but still no sound.  Diagnostics sent.  Would like IP:1400/reboot back.  Getting too old to do the hands ‘N’ knees unplug. Some time back this was a common occurrence.  Lately though it’s been better until today.
