As a long time Sonos user, I wish more focus and attention be given to the installation of a Music Library. This special feature, in my opinion, is what sets Sonos apart from other current music streamers. I'm a collector and many of my treasured albums are out of print and are not on streaming services. This is one of two major reasons why I considered Sonos as the gold standard in wireless music distribution. The other being its wireless multizone capability.
I have a combination of legacy and newer Sonos units. I obviously use the S1 as my app in order to accommodate and play all my units in one system. However, the Connect Amps and Play 5s can only play music from my library when grouped with a Connect or with any of the newer units. I've reset my legacy units several times but they still are denied access to my library. By the way, my NAS is a Synology that contains only music and picture files.
Would appreciate recommendations on how to fix this. And no, I do not want to get rid of my legacy units. I've spent so much already.
Thank you.
