Is anyone else suffering from not being able to add a speaker pair room to a group?  I have " everywhere" group and the wonderful new app refuses to save the change when I add kitchen to the group.  Any ideas?

Hi. Can I clarify please? Are you trying to add "Kitchen" to "Everywhere" or to a user-defined group you have created?

Hi not really sure, the group name is everywhere and when I go into it, kitchen is unticked, when I tick it and press save, the next time I go back into the group it is unticked again.

I am in groups from the your system manage menu flow

I have tried to reproduce your issue on my system but cannot, and so I can't really advise.  You might comfort yourself with the fact that user-defined groups are of very limited value. They are just shortcut ways of selecting rooms when manually grouping.

But I still don't really understand your original post. The "Everywhere" group is system defined and isn't available to be edited by the user.

What are you trying to achieve?

Try creating a Group with the Kitchen & one other room then see if that works.  The group Everywhere should include all your rooms.

The group Everywhere should include all your rooms.

I don't think it can do otherwise. I have a vague recollection that there is no built-in "Everywhere" group in systems with fewer than 3 rooms

@Ratty99 - how many rooms in your system please?

3, kitchen lounge and bedroom, plus a roam, so 4?

Yes that is 4.  If you go to System Settings, Manage, Groups, is there a group called “Everywhere” listed there?  If so, please change its name to something else.

Edit: By way of explanation, my guess (and it is a guess) is that you have set up a user-defined group called “Everywhere” and that this is now clashing with the built-in version..  I could be totally wrong.

Think that solved it, I deleted the user defined group (couldn't edit it) create a new one call all speakers, all good now, thanks everyone

Hi.  I don’t think you need that group.  “Everywhere” does this job, and you should find that as an option when you actually come to group speakers.  But if you want something called “all speakers” as well, that’s your prerogative.
