Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I don’t know what you are experiencing, but from my point of view, Sonos took a perfectly good working app and screwed it all up.The new Sonos app almost makes my system unusable.   It rarely identifies all my speakers, rarely connects to the speakers I want it to, and, when I try to control the volume it is almost completely ineffective.Being a tech person, I know these are software glitches that can be easily fixed with some resources and effort but Sonos does not seem to want to do that.  Unless it is fixed, in a year or so when I choose upgrade my system, Sonos will not be on my list of options.

I am unable to add new content services. Trying to add BBC Sounds, Spotify and Amazon Music. In each case, I get redirected from the Sonos app to the provider to authorise the connection and am told that the service has been added successfully. But when I return to the Sonos app I get an error message saying the service has not been added.I am using the Sonos app on Android and have 2 Era300s in a stereo pair and a Play3  

When we try to open the new & improved (LOL) Sonos app it doesn't recognize the existing network, we have to clear the Sonos app and then try and open the app again, hopefully it will work, if not repeat the process  

Like many others, I’m having difficulties connecting my Sonos speakers to a Google Nest Wifi Pro mesh network.My Arc, Move, Five, and Amps are connected fine.  My Sub and two Ones aren’t.Tech support had me factory reset speakers, reconnect them, restart my Nest routers, round and round for about 5 hours, and eventually everything connected.  That was two weeks ago.  Today the Sub and Ones are off the network again.  I factory reset them and tried to re-add them but that failed.I’ve read the threads on this topic but they are all closed so I thought I would start this new one.Here are a couple details I think make my situation particularly difficult:Not all of my Sonos are close enough to each other to see the Sonos network, so I can’t rely purely on SonosNet.  Instead, I have wired two Nest routers to each other over a long distance.  All Sonos can therefore see my wifi network.  I also have Nest routers that are not wired together. This business of trying to blame everything that’s not working with your Sonos on the S2 App refresh is getting out of hand. Missing features are a legitimate concern and should be brought to the attention of Sonos. However, there are other areas being thrown into the fray that are not warranted. Here are three (3) examples:1.     If the app is loading slow IT’S YOUR NETWORK AND/OR YOUR DEVICE.2.     If speakers are missing IT’S YOUR NETWORK AND/OR YOUR DEVICE.   3.     Interruptions with a streaming service is not and app issue (although Sonos may have to collaborate with the partner/provider as they post when they are down) it’s most likely a SERVER CONNECTION FAILURE.Interesting fact on #3. I had the pleasure to assist a member who all of a sudden couldn’t see their Spotify service on all devices. As I suggested (and they later realized) they had exceeded the number of registered devices for their account. It wasn’t an app issue!Bottomline…stick to what has actually been identified

So I’ve reached out to support about this numerous times and the two answers I’ve gotten are:A) Move closer to your WiFi RouterB) The Sonos Move 2 Speakers cannot handle the bandwidth of Lossless Audio over WiFi. I’m sure these support agents have no idea what they’re talking about.  The issue is with the speakers themselves, and can be resolved by writing better firmware.To disprove the claim that I am too far from my WiFi router, I went ahead and upgraded my already top-of-the-line-but-several-years-old WiFi router to an even better one.  I’m glad I spent the money on it.  It’s a better router with superior configuration options for techy people like myself.  Same connectivity issues with my Move 2 speakers.  Everything else works great on it including my other Sonos devices. If the second claim is true (the speakers can’t handle lossless audio) then I have to wonder why they were built in the first place?  They produce great quality audio when they work.  But most of the time they s

I have a Beam Gen 1 and considering purchasing Sonos Ace headphones.  Following the recent software update, will the TV audio swap work with my Beam?  

Got a really annoying bug here. My setup is a few Sonos speakers round the home. Spotify family plan with Alexa to play. The Sonos account is set to my kids account so they can use Alexa without polluting my recommendations. I have always used Spotify to play music as then the account for Alexa stays on the kids account. One of my favourite play lists is release radar but it is now not playing correctly. It will play the first song and then the second song appears to be like it is on shuffle on the play list then maybe three more songs as if on shuffle and then it's off into the recommendation wilderness playing songs not on the playlist. It's really annoying me and 50% of my Sonos listening is this and it doesn't work. If I go on the Sonos (cr)app, change to me and play release radar it works but I will get kid pollution then. Other playlists including discovery weekly seem to work  I suspect a big in the new app, any ideas on this other people with it or potential fixes?

Now i’m getting real tired of being a Sonos user.Since update to IOS 17.6 and 17.6.1 my speakers are totaly bonkers.i saw the CEO’s update, so i think it’s a bigger problem than just me.i have 2 Era 100 conected with my turntable and TV. Bur the Line-in looses connection all the time. And when it’s connected, the sound moves from left to right constantly.i have deleted the system and set it up again, but the same happens. So now i’m getting a bit pissed that a company that produces high-end products don’t deliver.more people with the same problems?

Can anyone tell me if Sonos supports lossless streaming from Napster? Definitely a lot of info about Apple Music lossless out there, but I can’t find an answer about Napster. Any help?

I am using some older outdoor speakers in my Lanai, wired to a connect amp inside.  The sound is not the best. (My wife got used to the sound Sonos can put out LOL) I was thinking about using 2 Play 1’s but the humidity here might be bad for them.  I am looking for recommendations for a wired speaker that will work well with the Connect Amp. I may upgrade to the new Amp for a bit more power but for now the Connect Amp is what I have.

Hi Sonos fam -New user since last year and am generally happy with the ecosystem and even the new app (although I am sometimes confused as to where I am exactly when swiping up or down and what thing is playing to what speaker or whatever)…There’s a lot of swiping, screens and icons and sh*t...”View System” takes you to a screen that looks nearly identical to other screens that I would also consider “viewing” the “system”...but anyway...It’s probably my most used app or at least in the top 5......now that NAS is back, I’m using it. I have a simple older SSD attached to a router via USB and it seems to be working at least at the moment. Took a lot of fiddling with my router seetings to figure out how to make it work….I find networking to be needlessly overcomplicated and over-jargonated. I’m trying to see if there is any expanded article/info on using NAS for SONOS. Hi folks I just moved to a new apartment with Verizon Fios. It’s big (2500 sq feet) with concrete walls so the fios guy put an extender in each of the two bedrooms- the router is in the living room.  my question is: what is the best setup? The router and both extenders have lan outs of course.  my (5 year old) equipment:sonos extender6 Sonos one1 Sonos playbar1 Sonos floor bass unit (I forgot the name but it’s big and heavy)and I am thinking of adding a few more speakers once everything is set.  should I:plug the Sonos extender into the router and one rj45 into 1 play one - living room (wired)Two play 1 into each extender in the bedrooms (wired)the playbar and bass in the dining area (not wired)three play 1 (not wired)? thanks for your input

It started with one device which convinced me of the dream of a single system running music through the house. We all listen to music in different ways and Sonos fulfilled that. I quickly became a marketing tool for the company because whenever anyone came to my house they would experience it. I was a big endorser of your product. But that’s all charged with the new app. It’s not irreversible which is why I’m writing to you, because I want my Sonos back… The biggest frustration for me with the new app is that I’ve been convinced to have a Sonos in every room, but I now struggle to use Sonos in my bedrooms because the new app initially didn’t include alarms but more so that it doesn’t include the sleep timer. On my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra I have both the Sonos 1 (because of a Play 5) and the Sonos 2 app for two other boxes. When I start the Sonos 1 app it immediately says “Use Sonos S2 app”  with no other option. This is completely stupid because I need Sonos One to make my Play 5 work. The duality between S1 and S2 creates a real mess. Unbelievable that Sonos hasn't been able to build a single app serving all its hardware. Very poor software development.Moreover, I have lots of problems linking my music library (on a NAS). Hard to believe. 

Trying to understand if it’s possible to play hi-res audio on Sonos Ace. Seems like bluetooth is a no-go, but I was hoping that the USB-C to USB-C connectivity would support it. However when I connect them to my Mac and open Audio Midi Setup, the Sonos Ace audio device only reports 16bit and 48kHz, and I can’t select any other option. Not sure if there is any limitation on MacOS here, and if it’s possible to use higher sampling or depth on other devices. Anyone had any success with this?The 3,5mm to USB-C adapter it’s a different mystery. From what I can understand this is a ADC adapter, and not an analoge passthrough cable using USB-C’s Audio Accessory Mode. So even if I use a DAC from the computer that supports hi-res, the signal is anyway converted back to digital using the adapter cable, and then probably ending up using the same DAC that is used for USB-C to USB-C. There is so many conversions going on in this signal path it feels like a bit of a stretch to even call it lossless (

Hi,I’m having a pretty awful time with the new updates and I am experiencing a problem that’s been plaguing me since the new updates were made. When attempting to use Airplay as I always do everything works great until I add more than 2 Sonos devices.Currently I have an Arc, Beam and Five all wired via ethernet with Wi-Fi disabled. I also have a Move on Wi-Fi with a good signal on 5ghz. Regardless of the combination if I use Airplay 2 on Apple Music to play music on more than 2 Sonos devices the song will stutter at exactly the 2 second mark of the song every time a song changes.I also have a HomePod that I can add to the mix, and that’s fine as the third device. So I can go purely ethernet with 2 Sonos devices and I’m good, I can add the HomePod and still no issues, but if I add a third Sonos device to the fray, regardless of whether it’s on ethernet or Wi-Fi, it will stutter when changing songs at the two second mark. Hello everyone, i know problems with a music library on OneDrive are not new. It worked before perfectIy for me, but now it doesnt anymore.I can add the folder, Sonos has full access. And it plays the music in old playlists...it finds those just fine.But it doesn’t show the folders, the albums and titels anymore. I cannot search in my library or add new titels from my library to other playlists.What did i miss? Is this a bug or do I have to give more/other rights to the app.(Sonos App on Windows 11)
