Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Why can’t I add a Sonos Sub to a system using a PORT?  Will this ever be available? 

I used to be able to see the charge percentage of each of my Roam speakers on the Sonos App. 

Do you have a guide on how to set up an SSID in my Meraki environment to wirelessly connect a couple of Five speakers to the network? I want to control the speakers with an iPad on the same wireless network, using the same VLAN. Right now, the app can’t see the speakers.

I am setting up a new Sonos arc, amp, and subwoofer gen 4 for a client. When i was able to add the devices with some difficulty but now that i have the products added it will not allow me to create a room for the equipment therefor i cannot set up the system any help??

I have 2 Sonos home theater systems and a stereo pair and ALL are down right now, even the ones with a direct HDMI connection to my TV.  Sonos is apparently having issues because the icons for streaming services keep disappearing and won’t stream (gives “Internet down” message, despite my Speedtest showing a solid 1GB connection to all test servers..).   Why can’t I play audio locally when Sonos is down?  Is this like that BMW “Pay a monthly subscription for heated seats” deals where SONOS can just brick my system if they decide to shut down? I’m going to throw all of my SONOS gear out the window, this is ridiculous.

Bought the Sonos Ace headphones as soon as they were available.The protective travel case has had a tricky zip on it from the day I got it, but finally today it has jammed completely.Do Sonos replace these under warranty? Seems like a poorly designed zip. Or did I just have bad luck with the one on the case I got?

Hello. My Sonos Ray just arrived and it sounds great, however I have a problem configuring the remote. I have searched Google, Reddit and this support forum and I think this is an app/software issue. I tried two IR remotes, the TV one (Horizon Android TV, definitely an IR model) and a Tuya internet enabled IR emitter.I go to the Sonos app, I start configuring the remote. It asks me to press 3 times the volume up button.For the TV remote, the soundbar seems to receive the messages because the leds light up exactly 3 times, however the app tells me nothing was received.For the IR emitter, the leds light up, the app gives me an ok icon, but then it goes back to "we did not detected any signals" message. I can restart configuration and the app will ask me the next command (volume down, then mute), however after I'm done the Ray still doesn't take the commands into account.Any suggestions on what i could try?

It goes without saying that if you have the technical know-how for setup/configuration (or someone who does) there are major benefits to owning your own router or Mesh networking hardware. I’m only going to focus on one of the benefits as it relates to Sonos.You can search this community and I’m sure you’ll find a plethora of posts bemoaning difficulty when changing routers and/or ISP’s (Internet Service Provider). The most common problem I see in the community is SSID (Service Set Identifier) and Password compatibility with Sonos when moving to another ISP using their provided modem and router.  Although most ISP supplied hardware today are combo units with integrated modem/router in one enclosure.  The SSID and Password are a simple fix. Regardless of what the ISP has used for SSID/Password (usually found somewhere on the enclosure) you can request that your SSID/Password be applied instead of using theirs. I have an Amp S1 (I know...it’s really old) and would like to connect my TV audio to my Amp using with an HDMI cable.  I just tried connecting the white/red analog cable into a HDMI converter with the HDMI cable going from the converter into the ARC HDMI port on the TV.  No luck.Has anyone had any success with connecting an Amp S! with wired speakers and a TV with HDMI?

Hi hope the community can help.i have recently bought a Sonus arc,sub and 2 x Era 100 speakers. I have added to the Sonus app and am enjoying the system. I have a family member who also wants to use it but on their app when we try to add the speakers nothing is found. I made sure my they are on the same 2g network Sonus uses. They have an iphone and if i look for devices to stream music on from their phone i can see the speakers.Sonos mentions rebooting the speakers but i am worried this would remove them from my app.i have had a search on here and Sonos support and can’t really see anything.Such a shame i can’t just share the system link i can with other smart devices i have.thank you for your help - Jamie.

Just set up my new ARC ULTRA.  It’s a nice step up from the original ARC.  Better sound overall and clearer dialog.  Only issue is that it won't work with my Sonos 1 surround speakers and original sub.My plan is to move the original ARC, surrounds and sub to our bedroom TV.  But it's only 45 inches and the table it’s on is not wide enough for the ARC’s total width.  So here’s the question… CAN I PUT THE ARC BEHIND THE TV? Back there it’s excess length won’t be as noticeable. Thanks. 

Sonos app is losing the system, and when I am able to connect it, during for example couple of hours system is lost several times. Music is playing but I cant get contact to it. Move. At first a year-two years ago it worked perfectly.

Hi Sonos Community,I’m trying to integrate audio playback from my website with my Sonos system, but I’m running into an issue where the sound isn’t syncing properly. The audio starts with a delay, and sometimes it doesn’t play at all through the Sonos speakers, even though other streaming services work fine.Here’s what I’ve tried so far:Tested the playback on different devices (laptops, tablets), but the delay remains. Checked my Sonos app settings to make sure the network is stable. Updated both my website’s audio player and my Sonos system to their latest versions.Is there a recommended way to optimize website audio for smooth playback on Sonos, or has anyone else encountered issues with delays when streaming from a website? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance!

Can the Sonos Beam help simplify my home theater system? 

I would like to get all of my speakers to downgrade to the precious revision of firmware and the older version of the application software reinstalled. The auto upgrade a few months ago made the entire ecosystem extremely problematic. In three months, Sonos is still struggling with a ton of unresolved issues. The system is still completely unreliable, non performance and absolutely not user friendly. The application’s initial loading is slow and buggy. Songs skipped randomly without user input. The integration with Apple Music is subpar. I have managed products for over a decade. My entire product team would be shot if a release went as badly as Sonos’s release. All that I ask for is a path to normalcy and a good system that identifies with the standup and awesome brand that it used to be.  

The servers appear to be down tonight. Is anyone else having issues?  Updated the app on my iPhone earlier today and went to play music tonight. But every content section on the homepage says “Unable to load content” and where the graphics are supposed to be for services, favorites, stations, etc. are all black boxes with black lines scrolling across.  Thought it was the update but checked on my iPad without the update and same issue.  Was only able to play music in the room where music had been playing previously by pressing the play button.  None of the other rooms had content queued up so can’t select from any sources. Sonos seems to be having a lot of issues of late. 

My Sonos One I used for surround sound died (crackling sound) after less than 3 years.   Is this the normal lifespan of a Sonos speaker? 

Play:5 connection issuesUnable to set up and add PLAY5 (Gen1) to my existing system.  Did a Factory reset on PLAY5 (blinking Green) but Wifi couldn’t detect it (phone Wifi network same, BT is On).  Connect through LAN cable, and the app could detect the PLAY5. However upon clicking “ADD” for the next set up step, it prompts message  'Your mobile device couldn't connect to your Play:5. Make sure the Play:5 is connected to power.'  I've plug / unplug cord multiple times, eventually results with the same message.  Anyone can help?

FOLLOWING THE PROMPTS TO CONNECT THE SUB:Add Sub - (it also request to connect to Sonos… which automatically removes the App from the normal WiFi to the Sonos… connection) Press the Flashing Button on the Side of the Sub Pressing the Button does nothing… (tried long-pressing, as well - nothing happens)There months ago, someone posted the same issue without a resolution and the tread now has this message:“This topic has been closed for further comments. You can use the search bar to find a similar topic, or create a new one by clicking Create Topic at the top of the page.” Sonos - this issue is not fixed. Do not close it for further comments - we need to be able to utilise the products that we bought.

Would I be able to create a surround sound system with my Sonos beam soundbar, aftermarket rears, and a sub? I also have 2 or 3 Connect:Amps left over from a previous house. 

7 yr old Sony XBR, soundbar, surround speakers, sound bass, and Sonos bridge. WiFi video streaming.   YouTube TV works fine - turn tv on, select YouTube and instant sound.  However when I select Netflix or Prime, there is a minute audio delay before ANY sound starts up.  Sometimes I fast forward or reverse and audio then kicks in.  Any quick thoughts? Problem seems to be getting worse over the past year. 

I have been trying to reauthorize and connect accounts to the Sonos app and my account lately, but 90% of the time I get the message “Service not found” instead. I have tried everything I could think of without any success. What does this mean and how can I fix this? 

I have a Sonos Playbar, probably 10 years old. I have lots of music stored on my phone. Can I play this music through the Playbar?
