I don’t want the sonos radio service - so how do I remove it?

Hey, I own a Beam (Gen 2) and a Sub Mini that are connected via HDMI ARC to my LG TV (43UR80006LJ) and tackled a problem lately that I hope you can shed some light on. I stream most of my media through my PC via a server that is connected to an app named ‘Emby’.While using the SONOS app, I almost always check the type of the audio format, and it works great, but on specific occasions I get the Stereo PCM mark. This happens only when streaming movies or TV shows that have image-based subtitles (PGS\ASS) through the TV Emby app.I use only EAC3 audio tracks in my Emby library, and whenever I enable the subtitles, I see the PCM mark.Needless to say, this causes a drastic decrease in the quality of audio.I’ve tried to ask if it’s a problem from the Emby client’s side, but it turns out that the audio file is a direct copy of the original EAC3 2.0 and should show the Dolby Digital Plus 2.0 mark instead, but it does not. At the moment I’m having difficulties tracking where this problem comes f

I had to reset my play bar because it wasn’t working and need help getting it back 

I have 2 x Ikea Syfonisks and 1 x Beam (Gen 1). System has been working or for a few years. I usually Airplay from Music app on my iPhone. Now when I try to play to a speaker it connects momentarily (no sound) then just jumps back to the iPhone. All speaker are visible and I don’t get an error just it just won’t ‘stick’ on a speaker (or speakers). The systme works if I play from my Apple Music library within the Sonos app but I prefer to use the Music app directly (and have always done so in the past). I’ve reset the router, switched all the speakers off and on again. No luck, any suggestions?Edit: i just tested from my iMac using Music and I can connect – so presumably this is a Music app on the iPhone problem?

why can't i find sonos tube app on my new android phone?

I have a stereo pair of Play: 1 and a stereo pair of Symfonisk. Is it possible to add a Sonos Sub Mini to one of the pairs without unpairing the stereo pair?

Opening the app is very slow on updating the room status. I usually start music from Spotify Connect or by pushing the hardware button on the speaker .I then open Sonos app to set the sleep timer or change volume.App takes ages to update that something is playing and what's playing.Wifi network is currently working really well so it's a Sonos app issue.

I got an iPhone 13 pro recently and it won’t recognise or connect to the Sonos S1 app. I’ve tried everything including allowing location services, no VPN etc. Yet the app works fine on my iPad. Judging by previous chats on this, there is clearly a software fault, are you fixing this Sonos?

Hi All, my trusty pair of Sonos fives are playing up. one of the stereo pair of fives disappeared from the app. I factory reset and reconnected and tried anything I could find on the forum. dialogue says setup complete. however, it does not appear on the iOS app or the Mac app. however, It does appear on the the web app...... what to do? cheers, j.

Since a few weeks Sonos never manages to play Spotify. Sonos always loses connection to Spotify according to the error message. (Or rather, Sonos never manages to establish a connection to Spotify - there is never a sound from Spotify on the Sonos system.) I have tried starting music on both the Sonos and Spotify apps, but the same problem persists. I have also tried reinstalling the Sonos and Spotify apps (I run the Sonos 1 app due to the age of my Sonos products). I have also disconnected all Sonos products and unplugged the router and then restarted it all. Nothing helps. Most grateful for guidance on how to solve this problem

I have a first gen playbar, 2 x play 1's and a 1st gen sub.If both the play 1s are being used, after a short time the whole system starts to glitch/stutter.Playbar - finePlaybar and sub finePlaybar, sub and 1 x play1 is fine As soon as I add the second play 1 it is fine for a short period but then glitches or stutters. Ive updated and tried factory reset.Any ideas?

On the second day of purchasing the Beam Gen 2 (November 2022) we experienced the machine gun/jackhammer blast of INSANITY AT FULL VOLUME. Needless to say this scared the $%&@ out of us, the kids, and the cat. This happened two times, while streaming Apple Music and streaming Netflix. Comfort and confidence is diminished with this product.  I contacted support and they are sending a replacement right away.  A few technical details of our setup:Samsung Frame 43” TV AppleTV 4K Surround with two Play: 5 HDMI eARC connection

I am aware of the support articels for Stereo Sound https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/create-a-stereo-pair and connecting a line in audio source via the 3.5mm connector https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/listen-to-your-turntable-on-sonos.What these articels do not state is if the audio source is connected to one Stereo capable speaker (eg the Five via the 3.5mm line in) that both speakers will actually Stereo or if the other speaker will not play anything or only mono. Maybe I overlooked an article so any advice would be appreciated.

Changed WiFi provider and can’t get my Sonus devices connected. 

 I have over 20 Sonos speakers connected in various rooms to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi system. The frequently will not connect. But the next day they will. It’s intermittent and a reboot Of the local ethernet switch normally solves the problem.. Question: would it be better to switch to the 2.4 Gigahertz Wi-Fi network which I already have set up? Such a simple connection to eArc HDMI on LG tv,  Started setting up on App….keep getting ERROR 1,000 as It asks to register product. won’t recognize the soundbar at all, my home interent notification tells me SONOS is connected to home wifi….…so app is useless to me but biggest issue is when I turn on TV, the sound(which is good when it finally kicks in) takes approx 2 minutes to work thru the soundbar. I’ve been on multiple sites looking for fix...tried so much...so second day of having it , I am returning in 2 days unless someone has a solution??

I Bought today my sonos ace and it is not working wear detection. Really dissapointing should be easy and straightforward as its competitors.What should I do?. Settings seems ok allowing werar detection and play/pause is activated. Really frustrating first day and already with issues.

Where should I put my new era 300s? Open to wall mounting too

so I have an ongoing problem with a Era 100 stereo pair - they just disappear from the app for a period of time. The interesting thing is that you look into a lot of reports of this problem, it’s always right speaker that is causing it, it crashes out taking the pair with it. if you unpair and make the left the right, when it crashes out, it’s still the right speaker in the pair doing it which eliminates the idea it is the physical unit but something in the Sonos software.Tried on three clean networks using Asus, net gear and now UniFi - occurs on all. The other interesting thing is looking at network logs, it’s not disconnecting from the network and still sending traffic but to do what is unknown.Anyone aware of what is causing this or if Sonos is aware - it does not feel it can be fixed on the user side or by the pointless network voodoo that people here suggest (“retuning to channel 666 while on one leg fixed it for me”).

If I e.g. select a Spotify playlist from within the Sonos app, the resulting queue will be editable. I.e., I will be able to clear it or move things around.But if I start the same playlist from e.g. the Spotify application on my computer, the queue will just show one item saying “Spotify” and information about the current song that is playing. There is no way to edit the queue.When music is started in this way, I understand that I might not be able to do more advanced queue edits, but I am surprised that I cannot even clear the queue?

Good day team, I would appreciate your help today. I did the Quick Tune (Iphone ). The Height effects are there with Atmos only of course. Settings: Height +7, Treble +2, Bass -6, Loudness on. Speech Enhancement Low. However I do notice the voices are too low and the explosions or action scenes are too high and I keep changing volumes. I usually use it between 18-28 tops for Atmos. For regular 2.0 or 5.1 I have to increase to 50-60. I have notices the Arc does not Upmix the sound like me former JBL 9.1 did.

I haven't used my speaker for awhile. Today I turned it on & clicked on the Sonos app. It won't let me access the app a page comes up "Sonos system needs a software update" I click on update now I get a spinning circle checking for updates & it says "There was a problem checking for updates" I have retryed this 12 times now & no joy ! I have rebooted system & uninstalled & reinstalled sonos app it's so frustrating I just want to listen to music ! I can't access app 😢 

I currently have two Era 100s working in stereo for listening to music. I am happy with the overall sound but considering adding a sub mini. Will the sub mini make a noticeable difference?  If anyone has done this upgrade was it worth the expense?

I’ve been pretty blessed that my system worked fine through most of the junk app release. Last week my parents asked me to come to their house and help with their system. Speakers (era 100) were all playing music but the app showed no content and volume control, etc acted like it worked but did nothing.  The buttons on the speakers all worked - would switch tracks and adjust volume as expected.  I left there without a solution blaming it on their WiFi.Tonight at my house, my wife’s phone is behaving the same way. Shows no content, volume control on the app changes but doesn’t change speakers. My phone still works fine, iPad won’t work.  is this some sort of bug in the latest update or did all our networks just break at the same time??!!

Hello, I have a sonos beam. After update app on my Android smartphone I was not able to connect to my beam. I decided to reset my beam too. Unfortunatly my beam can't connect to wifi anymore. I try another wifi, I try with another smartphone, I try only with 2,4GHz wifi but nothing resolved thé probleme. When I try to set UP, the app can see my beam but, I Can see all the wireless network arround but when I put the password, no matter the wifi I choose, beam can't connect eather with RJ45. Any idea ?
