Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Can anyone explain how to shuffle all songs in my Apple Music library when using the new app?

I can usually just unpause my Play5 first generation and it would play the last station that I had playing but it no longer allows me. Any idea what might be going on snd how to resolve this? 

So, I’ve have the very first soundbar Sonos has made along with the some of the surrounds like Sonos 5 speakers.  Unfortunitly,  they were deemed unsupported after a while, so I was unable to make them work. I actually trashed them and it was so hard to see them go.  Just this past year I purchased another set… this time an Arc soundbar + sub.  It’s only been a year and now both also deemed unsupported.  Wow, what a waste of money on my part even though I love the sound they produce.  NOW,  Sonos has a newer Arc Soundbar and Sub, BUT I don’t want to purchase another pair for a crazy amount again!!  It hasn’t even been that long since I purchased my last set. Then to only give me 15% off for another speaker??? fml!! My question … will my Arc and Sub not work too after a while like my original set since they will not support it with new software? 

I am in the process of updating my system. I currently have a Sonos Arc and two Sonos Ones, but I am going to move the Ones to the patio for outdoor listening. Here is my upcoming setup/question - I am planning on using the following components for my home theater in my living room, and would like recommendations on how to set everything up: Sonos Arc, Sonos Sub, Sonos Amp and a pair of 3 way (non-Sonos) ceiling speakers. When I connect the Sonos Amp (with the ceiling speakers), do I connect the amp to the tv or Arc, or do I not connect those via the HDMI Arc connection? I want to have the Arc, Sub, and ceiling speakers auto/always on when I turn on the tv.

Hi All I am trying to set up the newest (1.5) Stream What You Hear app as a radio station in “Tune In” on the Sonos app.  I know it can work because I have it set up in another residence. However, the latest version of SWYH doesn't offer any of the operational settings described here, at least that I can locate: https://www.howtogeek.com/292842/how-to-stream-any-audio-from-your-pc-to-a-sonos-player/Does anyone know the correct streaming URL for the latest version of SWYH to create a new radio station on “Tune In?"? Does anyone have an updated source of setup instructions for SWYH 1.5?  The web site itself is of no use. I have not purchased a Sonos system yet, but am designing my layout and could use the community’s feedback.  We are completing a remodel where we now have a long great room with Kitchen, Dining, and Living Room. all in a row if looking down the room.  My initial plan is that the Living Room will have a tv with an Arc Ultra Soundbar (this all faces towards the dining/kitchen area).  Above the Dining Table I plan to have a pair of architectural speakers, and above the kitchen island another pair of architectural speakers.My question is can I use the speakers above the dining table as surround speakers for the tv?  I assume this answer is yes, based on my readings you would just set them as surround speakers in the living room I believe.  Where it gets trickier is that we also hope at times to simply play music throughout the entire great room.  Will those ceiling speakers above the dining table play well in this scenario, or require new configuration anytime we go between tv watching w/s

Hi sonos fam,I have a Sony TV with an HDMI ARC output and two Sonos Move speakers (original model) set up as a stereo pair. I'm interested in expanding this setup by adding a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and a Sub Gen 3 subwoofer. My plan is to connect the Beam Gen 2 to the HDMI ARC on my Sony TV.Would I be able to play the TV sound through the Beam Gen 2 in stereo mode and extend that stereo sound to the Sonos Move stereo pair? Additionally, would the Sub Gen 3 function correctly within this setup? appreciate the help~ SoundSeeker ~

So my problem is that everytime I choose a playlist, I can not see the list of songs within it and queue says “not in use”. Any way to fix that?

Do you know how to fix my Sonos Ace to produce sound and get the mic to work on Windows 11? I’ve tried all the steps you could think of, but nothing has worked. I‘ve been uninstalling and reinstalling the hardware devices. Help! TIA!  

Hi all, I have the Sonos Ark with SL1 spks for right and left surround sound behind me. I have the sonos amp and sub as well.My questions is I don't feel that I get much from the Ark upfiring spks!(set to max in app) Could I add two ceiling spks to give me better sound from above? I hope this makes sense. Cheers Andy.

Hello Sonos Support Team, I’m experiencing an issue with connecting my Sonos device to Wi-Fi. Despite entering the correct Wi-Fi password, the device fails to connect under any circumstances. I’ve tried multiple times to ensure the password is correct, but the connection still does not establish. Could you please assist me in troubleshooting this issue? Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Hi,  I just hooked up my new Sonos Arc Ultra to my Samsung Q90R TV via HDMI port 3 for eARC. All seemed to be working well, but when I play content from an app like Netflix or HBO Max the audio stutters while the video works fine.The settings let me select pass through when I'm sitting on HDMI 3 and then it doesn't let me do pass through when I'm in the HBO Max app, just lets me choose dd or dd+. From reading online should pass through be selected in the HBO Max app? It won't let me do that as it's greyed out when I go into any apps. Is there a fix for this, hopefully something which doesn't require me to buy a new TV? Was really looking forward to enjoying Atmos content. Happy to send a screenshot over too, just couldn't figure out how to do that.Notably youtube works fine, but that seems to default to PCM.

Hi,I have two ERA 300 speakers running as a group in my living room.When I try to play via Airplay sound only comes from one speaker.If I manually power on the second speaker in the group I get a message that my Apple Music subscription is only for one device.Airplay is seeing the two grouped speakers as two devices.If the speakers are then connected as a stereo pair both speakers work fine.Is there any way around this issue? Dan

I got a new iPhone, same iPhone 14 and cannot get my Sonos components back on line. Deleted Sonos app, reset Sonos app, reset my amps to factory settings and still cannot connect. Any help is appreciated. 

Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and Era 300’sJust set up my system. When I run a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound test “YouTube “( Sonos app says I’m getting Dolby Digital Plus 5.1) the left, center and right are all separate. When it gets to the right rear and left rear I get sound from the Arc Ultra also. Is this normal? I would think all the channels would separate.Am I missing something? 

I have an Apple TV 4K connected to a Samsung TV using an HDMI cable and then another HDMI cable using the Samsung’s HDMI Arc to connect to the Sonos Amp. My Sonos Amp has a KEF left and right channel as well as a subwoofer. I believe my Samsung TV audio settings are correct however I am not sure about the Apple TV 4K… Under Settings > Video and Audio > Audio Format, it defaults to LPCM. However, you have an option to change the format to either Dolby Digital 5.1 or Stereo. Seeing that the Apple TV 4K inputs to the Samsung TV and then uses an HDMI Arc cable to connect to the Sonos Amp, should I leave this setting to the default value of LPCM or should I set it to Dolby Digital or Stereo?  Part of me thinks that this setting is irrelevant because whatever audio format is selected, it passes that value to the TV and in turn the TV passes the selected PCM audio format to the Sonos Amp but clearly not 100% sure. Good morning,     Hi everyone, I have a pair of Era 100s set up under my TV that I'm using as a stereo pair. Neither speaker has any issues on their own, or as a stereo pair through the app. It is only when they are connected through Bluetooth to my computer, one speaker randomly cuts in and out, completely ruining the stereo experience. I've already disconnected, factory reset, and reconnected them. They work great through the Sonos system, but over Bluetooth one always seems to cut out. I can't watch movies through my computer via Bluetooth without being completely pulled out of the experience as my right ear gets 0 of the audio. Any advice?

In my case, this error was when trying to connect to new WiFi (new router) was incorrect.Uninstall the Sonos app, reinstall and factory reset your Sonos and it will then connect - there is a bug in the Sonos app. The uninstall and reinstall will also trigger an update to the Sonos One SL and the device will then connect. 

I recently purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2 with Sub Mini & Era 100 to use as a cinema system.Installation went fine and I am able get a 5.1 feed via the HDMI ARC connection for the DVB broadcasts, when available, and the installed apps (Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc).However, I am unable to get a multi channel sound feed from either my Virgin media stream box or my Blu-ray, both will only provide PCM stereo.Sonos helpline were not particularly helpful once they knew the TV feed was working and despite multiple diagnostic submissions decided it was my settings and offered no potential solution.Despite resetting all my equipment, checking for updates, etc I'm still unable to resolve the issue.Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated as the situation is so frustrating.For reference my TV is a Panasonic TX-50AS600B AND Blu-ray a Panasonic DMP-BD60

I use my Sonos speakers 100% for listening to music, primarily through my music library on a stored NAS.  My experience has more or less come back to baseline from the new app rollout.  One thing that’s still missing that I found to be quite a helpful feature was the vertical side alphabet of the music library so I could quickly tap on a letter and immediately jump to that part of my library.  I know you can search specifically within the music library now but am still longing for the side scroll.  Any idea when (or if) that might be coming back?

I just have 2 Era 100s - I plan on buying an Arc Ultra in a few weeks.When installing do I need to remove Era from app and reinstall them? I know some people have been having issues and it is making me concerned if Era/Sub 3 will work with Ultra.

This is a weird one. I have had an ARC for 2 years and it has been brilliant.Following a recent software update I noticed the sound on Netflix had changed. I checked the  Sonos App and it says movies like 6 Underground are now playing with “Dolby PCM Multichannel 2.0”.Nothing else has changed. The Netflix App is on my Samsung TV and it recognizes Dolby Atmos is available for 6 Underground. Disney+ and Apple TV are both outputting Dolby Atmos, it is only Netflix that is having the issue. I have restarted everything and checked all the settings. When I play the Dolby Atmos title in Netflix, the Sonos App displays “Dolby PCM Multichannel 5.1” for a fraction of a second and then falls back to “Dolby PCM Multichannel 2.0”.Has anybody else noticed this problem?

As many of you may be aware following the launch of the new Sonos app some radio stations from outside the UK on the MyTuner radio platform won’t play using the app although it is possible to play these stations using Amazon Alexa, however when using this method the artist & track info is not displayed which is annoying.I have been trying to get some clarity on this issue from Sonos for several months and have sent Sonos support numerous emails to that end. Today after many failed and fruitless emails a support agent finally telephoned me and clarified the issue. Most of the radio stations that interest me are from the USA, in particular a station named Smooth Jazz Florida, according to to the support agent since the Brexit agreement was implemented the licensing arrangements do not allow access to these stations, the actual effect of this did not manifest itself until the new app was launched.Like many Sonos users I’m sure I expressed my annoyance and frustration at this situation

I can see most of my (assorted) Sonos speakers in the Sound control panel of my Mac, which is running the latest OS (Sonoma 14.6.1). But when I try to select one of the Sonos speakers as the default sound output device, it flashes for a second and then reverts back to the previous default (either the Mac internal speakers or the desktop wired speakers (connected via mic port). Any suggestions?

Suddenly the sonos app on my iPhone says “Not Connected, No products found” But I can still find all the sonos speakers on the Spotify app and play music. So the speakers are connected to the network and they are working. The problem therefore is with the app. Is there a bugfix on the way?
