Sonos app won’t open

This has happened several times over the last 6 months. The iOS app will work as expected for about one week and then it will open the splash screen, freeze and then clear. I end up deleting the app and then download it again and it works for another week or so and then I do the dance all over again. Easy enough to join the existing system but a pain in the rear to have to do it continually just to use our whole home system. It wasn’t cheap to install but was supposed to be a great system and it was until lately. Am I stuck with having to delete and download weekly or does anyone have any recommendations?

Is there plenty of free storage space on your iDevice? If not, then free up some space. If there is plenty of storage space available, perhaps consider a full reset of the iDevice and restore a recent backup to get rid of any potentially corrupt files on your mobile.

I have the same experience on my iPhone. It has large amount of free storage, so that’s not the issue

I had this problem for like 6 months now.

What caused this problem for me was Ad Guard on my Iphone, it let the Sonos app crashes randomly every week. To solve this I changed the DNS settting for Ad Guard for the system only setting not the DNS by Ad Guard. After this the app has never crashed again.

Maybe you have also Ad Guard or like another dns Ad Blocker? Hopefully this will work for you :)
