Hi, I’ve been using Sonos for over 10 years with no problem, over the past 6 months I’ve been experiencing drop off from a pair of Sonos 1.  In the room affected I have 3 Sonos 1 and a hard wired Sonos boost, to try and resolve issues  ive reset both speakers back to factory, added a boost, upgraded my internet package to 500 meg had Sonos support dial in multiple times and checked all I.p addresses, no conflicts.  Weirdly the other speaker in the room isn’t affected, does anyone have a clue?

This is literally last chance before I remove the system all together.

Try removing the Boost and using your own WiFi instead of SonosNet. Boost is known to cause issues.

  1. Unplug all Sonos
  2. Remove the Boost
  3. Reboot your router
  4. Delete the Sonos app
  5. Power cycle your device and update if available
  6. Plug in all Sonos (except the Boost) and let them comeback
  7. Reinstall the Sonos app
  8. Open the app and select join and exiting system

Test your Sonos

I don’t recommend Factory Reset because, although it might (temporarily) improve something, it rarely resolves fundamental issues, and it destroys diagnostic data.

As a test, physically swap the two units.

What is the source of music?

Not sure if I’d say “Boost is known to cause problems”. The older Bridge, yes. And there’s the fact Sonos does not seem to think the Boost is necessary anymore. But trying to run the system without the Boost could help, Since buying an Arc Ultra, that only works on WiFi, I’m thinking about switching over from Boost to WiFi too, if only to see if the Boost is superfluous on my system too.
