Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Say it isn’t so! Six months and 20 releases after the Day the Music Died and still no music library album art on my Android app.   

I have a Sonos roam but the USB-C cable charger that came with the product now doesn’t charge properly. I keep getting a message saying it’s incompatible with my Sonos roam but it’s the one I got when I bout it?

Connexion wifi OK. Wifi connection OK. The speaker is recognized, but the lamp cannot access the updates and error 801 is displayed. Despite everything being refreshed, internet box, lamp, etc. Nothing to do, no connection possible, still this 801 error. Please help me THANKS

So I’ve had my system (Arc, Era300 x2 + Gen3 sub) for a year now - thinking if I spend £2.5k on a system, it’s gonna be good right?My old Polk system for circa £600 was much better - I mean it had a remote control right? and audio and optical inputs - amazing! Oh, and Google assistant, that actually worked properly. And I could tune the speakers with actual volume buttons, to suit me! I mean, we don’t ask much right - lol.My buggest gripe with the Sonos Arc system is the awful dialogue enhancement - which does nothing. On the Polk system, I have a separeate volume to turn the human dialogue up and down to suit me.Sonos Arc system is just such a step backwards is SOOOO many ways.Anyway, the sound signal from the TV comes from optical out, with the HMDI converter.QUESTIONS:___Do I spend another £1200 +/- to upgrade the TV, so I can use the eARC output?Will this improve human dialogue?Or do I ditch the Sonos system, to one that actually works properly?Thanks,A very disappointed Sonos owne

My Sono Era 300 just will not connect to Rogers Xfinity WiFi network. Any insight to why? Modem with built-in Auto switch between WiFi 4, 5, 6 and 6e and WPA 2 & 3. 

I’m really struggling with the Sonos app, I literally cannot do anything.  1. If I play music from Spotify and go to the Sonos app, it shows ‘No Content’ like nothing is playing.  I cannot play anything via the Sonos app.I can’t change any EQ or sub settings because it makes no difference and as soon as the app closes it resets to 0 for everything.I’ve disconnected my VPN, I’ve rebooted my device, I’ve reset the app, I’ve deleted and redownlaoded the app. I’ve done a power down of the whole house for 1min! Still nothing works via the app!my device is a 15 pro and my devices are ERA 100 (x2), Gen 1 Beam, Sub Mini, PLAY:1, SYMFONISK (x2) and ROAM (x2).I thought this was supposed to be a premium brand ?  

My era 100 will not accept my wifi password. I am with Sky and as far as I know I do not have the option to split my signal. 

Just bought the full works ARC Ultra 2xEra 300 and sub4 tried no matter what I have tried the speakers will not connect with the App, it goes through the pairing bit with chimes and inputting of wifi passwords but then nothing appears on the app, tried rebooting the products and router but still nothing. reinstalled the app reset speakers to factory still nothing.The wifi hub is a Vodafone Power hub which is only a few weeks old and TV is a modern LG OledReally frustrating  I am an experienced Sonos user but never had this issue before Any ideas?  

I can’t get in touch with the customer support because I end up in a waiting line for over 50 minutes. A lot of problems since a while with my whole sonos system:Spotify shows it plays the song although the speaker doesn’t make a sound. if i play rewind it sometimes works;I choose song A in playlist A and then sonos decides to delay and play song B or C in playlist A for some random reason. If i try to replay the song that sometimes fixes the problem;If i choose a youtube video and connect my beam to my sonos play 5 to play it together, one of the speakers just decides to pauze the music for 0,5 second every 20 secondes which is freaking annoying.  I don’t like my sonos system at all anymore… I live in a small apartment, everything is extremely close to the router, no extenders. Everyone else who wants to connect has the same issues as me. So my phone is not the problem. I’ve never had issues until the last 3 months now.Can someone help me out 

After being forced to use the new app (android), at some point there has been a change which is causing all podcast and episode broadcast dates to show as 1 Jan 1000000000. Is this an issue on the side of Sonos or the BBC?Is there a fix known for this? Any help would be useful as its really frustrating not knowing which episodes I have listened to or not without playing through the last few to find out where I am!

Hello,I recently purshased used Sonos system (Port, Arc, Sub and  2 x One SL), I was able to Factory Reset the port and installing it throw the Sonos mobile app in my iPhone.But when I started pairing the other devices (Arc, Sub and  2 x One SL) the app detects the devices and start the setup but after few seconds I get the following message “Your mobile device couldn't connect to your Sub. Make sure the Sub is connected to power.” So I click continue and I get this: Knowing that all my devices are connected to same Network and Router and I tried to restart my router and powering up device by device with factory reset and everyting.Any help please?

With just the bar, I’m noticing a consistent issue with dialogue being too quiet at lower volumes. For example, in Dune, when Zendaya’s character speaks in the opening scene, her voice is almost drowned out unless I crank the volume up. But when I do that, the rest of the sounds become way too loud for my room. At a comfortable level, the scene with Paul & Jessica at the beginning of the movie is inaudible. Similarly, in Gravity, I had to raise the volume significantly to make the voices, especially distant ones like when George Clooney is floating around in the beginning, clear enough to hear, but then the other sounds became overwhelming. Watching The Dark Knight Rises, the dialogue volume discrepancy is worse than with my TV speakers. For comparison, my Bose Ultra soundbar doesn’t have this problem. All reviews and user comments are saying the dialogue on the Arc Ultra is much improved and in some cases overwhelming but I don’t really see this being the case even with the Speech

Is Sonos working on an update to fix these random drops?  I’ve had Sonos for over 12 years and upgraded all speakers when we moved about 3 years ago. I’ve always been such a Sonos advocate but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. What is being done to correct these issues?  This is not a WiFi issue and it is not a latency issue, it is a Sonos latest app update issue that is wrecking the value of the whole system. I’ve been on with Sonos support for over 1.5 hours and they basically gave up. Please help!

Is there a way to determine if you’ve hit the metadata limit?  I am only at 35K songs but do have a fair number of classical music which apparently has a lot of metadata.  Is there a way to only update certain songs/playlists/genres so I skip the classical?

Hi,Running dual subs (one Gen 3 and one Gen 4), and noticed in the app it gives me only one control for both subs.  Meaning…..the crossover setting is there only once, and the phase setting is there only once. So...why wouldnt I be given the ability to set crossovers differently?  and are both subs phased the same?  wouldnt you want to have the phased opposite for best impact? I am no expert, and am open to all feedback. Thinking I might add a second AMP so I can control my second sub the way I want.  Does that make sense? TIA Moderator edit: Changed “One Gen 3 and one Sub 4” to “one Gen 3 and one Gen 4” for clarity.

I am building a new house. There is currently no drywall so i am able to audio everywhere. My plan is to do 8 speakers in the living room, 2 in the master bedroom, few in the patio etc. My question is, how do i wire 4 speakers to 2 channels from the amp? Do I just go + to + on 1 architectural in-ceiling speaker and follow that to the + on the second speaker? Same for -? Thank you!

Hi All,This is a security question for the security concsous amongst us. I realise i sound like a paraniod android but I’m currently being cyberstalked and have reason to believe I have RAT (Remote Access Tool) malware on my home networked machines, phone and ipad.Some of these RATS are known to repopulate themselves to unsecure devices connected to the network that its on. For instance Smart Speakers, Smart Cameras etc. I know that a conversation i had with someone was heard by what i think is my Sonos Move 2 but i have no way of knowing for sure. So i am ultra paranoid.So far i have purchased a new laptop, new iphone with new sim and number, new router and now a new sim card as i use a 4G router. I found out all of these can share a RAT infection if they are on the same network given the right RAT Software.I have a lot of digital accessroies one of them being the sonos and im reluctant to get a new one if i dont have to, Can anyone difinitivly tell me if its possible for one of these

I got this issue while trying to add a new device via your application. An alert display that "There was a problem checking for updates." and I tried again but it didn't work. It showed another alert that said "We couldn't update your products. Check your network connection and try again later."  

Ok so like lots of people the new app has caused havoc. I have 1 Play 5 gen 1 and 2 Play 1 speakers.Im trying to run them all on S1 as the Play 5 can't be used on new app.I have done the followingdeleted apps factory reset all speakersre installed both appsset up Play 5 on S1 app - this works fine Both Play 1 speakers are visible however I get the message that says that the firmware needs downgrading to s1 . I have gone through the process every which way. Whether having the speaker wired direct in to router or running it on wifi it just comes up with a message saying there is a problem and gets stuck in a loop of trying again, connecting app to speaker network then trying to downgrade. Nothing seems to workAny thoughts people ?  

HiI’m still very, very, very mad at SONOS for the ******** they are putting us customers through with the new app and the way they communicate. I wish they’d roll back to the old app. But I know nobody at SONOS cares.Anyway. My Music Library (on my MacBookAir with OS X) works on SONOS for Mac OS X. However it doesn’t appear on iOS iPhone.Same at my mom’s house. She has her Music Library on a NAS (WD My Cloud, set to SMBv2). The music library works on her Mac Mini on SONOS for Mac OS X. However it doesn’t appear on iOS iPhone.Is it just us or hasn’t SONOS fixed Music Library for iPhone iOS yet?Anything I could try to make it appear?I already wasted hours (thanks SONOS!) trying different things. But nothing worked. Systems are all up-to-date. 

I own a number of Play One and Play Three devices, plus one Era 100 that I bought specifically to add Apple airplay functionality to the system. Until quite recently, whenever I had all my devices grouped together in the Sonos app, I would be able to go to Spotify, select the Era 100 device as a target for AirPlay, and music would play on all devices simultaneously.  Now, however, whenever I do the same through Spotify, only the Era 100 device plays, it gets kicked off the group, and the other devices remain silent. if I go to group the devices together in the Sonos app, nothing happens.this is a serious problem for me, especially considering that I bought the extra era 100 device specifically to be able to use airplay on the system. I’m not interested in using the Sonos app to control my music, and I am not interested in using the open play directly to Sonos’s group” functionality on Spotify due to reliability issues.
